Exactly what I was looking for thanks! Seems Phantom has darker midtones/shadows and a tad more magenta than Canon. Phantom does look better across the board.

I think the phantom has almost too much contrast in some of those shots. It does give a more cinematic look by default, though
I can see a difference in color, too. I need to do further testing!
I did a test with the phantom LUT and compared it to one of Canons offical LUTs and couldn’t really spot a difference. I think the colour science on the R5C is pretty bang on and leaning towards an Arri look straight out of camera. Mind you this was only tested on one instance of a documentary I’m working on at the moment and would need to test further. Have you found different results with Canon LUTs?
I have never used them! I’ll do another video comparing all of the LUTs that I have.

Phantom LUTs make the skin look amazing. Buttery LUTs just look too jaundice for my taste.

I have both for Bmpcc6k and lean more towards phantom but they are both useful. I have a severe yellow shift in clog3 and cant seem to figure it out

Hello thanks for the Video I have a canon M50 8 bit camera I managed to download CLOG on the camera from EOSHD instead of the cenistyle will the luts work on it.

Honestly, after making this video, I’ve switched over to Phantom LUTs exclusively. If you check the link in my description, you’ll find that they have LUTs available in Clog2 & Clog3 - plus tons of different film looks. If you use my code, you’ll save money!
I don't think you need special luts to get these looks you can get the same or better just using the colour wheels.
These aren't necessarily "special" LUTs. They're conversion LUTs to bring you to a Rec709 working space. You can totally bypass using them and get there yourself, but these LUTs help you get there much quicker.
I'm not a fan of "look" LUTs. I like to grade the look myself. I have also witnessed a lot of people's footage fall apart when they're using LUTs that aren't camera specific.
I should do a video about color grading w/o LUTs!
Good video bro. I have both Lut packs as well and I've noticed phantom has more contrast. I usually use buttery with + 1 contrast too. I thought about making the switch to Sony but decided to stick with canon and bought the C70 and R3. What made you make the switch?

do you first use an Clog3 to rec709 Lut and then the Phantom lut or straight to the point phantom lut ?
You’ll use the Phantom LUT for your Rec709 conversion!

You’ll be better off using LUTs that are designed for a “look”. These LUTs are conversion LUTs. What camera are you using?
Do you know if these work well with the r6 and r5?
The Phantom CLOG3 LUTs will work!
Hi! Just starting to use phantom. I wanted to ask you, do you touch contrast and saturation before or after the lut?
So, the first thing I do is WB, and the apply the LUT. After that, I’ll do contrast, saturation, and any other coloring that I think the image needs / what I want. Also, in tandem, I use a false color node to check my exposure!
What editing program do you use? I could go further into detail, but I don’t want to go in the wrong direction!

C70! It’s the perfect camera.

The C70 has the DGO sensor, and it is incredible! I don’t know if I could ever go with another camera.
