    Huge shoutout to Brad. Handled himself so professionally in the face of massive adversity. Could have understandably been mad or upset and shown it, but instead, he held his head up high and showed incredible positivity. With so many kids and young adults watching this content, it sets such an amazing precedent on how to handle yourself when things don’t go well. Kudos Brad!

You are an inspiration for many people, including myself. I start bowling league again tomorrow. Looking forward to more Brad and Kyle content.

    My husband and I are 61 and 62 years old and just started bowling less than 2 years ago. We are now rolling league and having the time of our lives. I want to express my (our) gratitude to you and Kyle for your professionalism and humble spirits that shine through in your videos. We started watching you immediately after we purchased our first ball. We have learned so much from both of you and thoroughly enjoy your approach to instruction for both the experienced and newly learning bowlers. You’re pleasant to watch and we look forward to every opportunity you give us to learn and simply enjoy your hard work. I’m sorry about your recent disappointment, but like many others have mentioned, it’s “going to happen”. Thanks so much to you and Kyle. You are a huge asset to the sport!!

  • @deadpolymers3416
    @deadpolymers3416 Pƙed 19 dny +51

    I always hate when the tour decides to lock down the fields like this. The fact that there are about 80 bowlers from this event that will all have to compete for just 1-3 main field spots via the weekly PTQ, is back breaking for those non-exempt bowlers trying to earn their way onto the tour next season. They'll have to pay all the same expenses they normally do, while having the spots they are competing for weekly reduced by 80-90%. It's great for the guys with exemptions, but the PBA is keeping out so many talented guys now, who were able to compete before. It's a real shame. Hope they dump this exempt field nonsense sooner than later.

    • @BornIn1500
      @BornIn1500 Pƙed 19 dny +3

      Lets be real... out of those 80 bowlers, most of them won't travel for the weekly PTQ. The PTQ will get mostly regional guys who live closer that week's tour stop. That's not a bad thing.

    • @elex300
      @elex300 Pƙed 19 dny +16

      The PBA is their own worst enemy. Open up the field to grow the organization.

    • @deadpolymers3416
      @deadpolymers3416 Pƙed 19 dny +13

      @@BornIn1500 I was curious, so I went and looked at the PTQs in 2024. There were 5 events with a PTQ. In those 5 PTQs, there were 384 total entries, for 66 total spots.
      So 5 PTQs, with an average participation of 77 bowlers, and 13 spots into the main field.
      Now I'm not saying the 80 guys who didn't make it in, will travel to every PTQ. Just that the bowlers who attended the Trials are the ones who are talented enough, and dedicated enough to actually be out on tour. When you add in all the guys who didn't attend the Trials, the guys who are very talented, but only really show up when the tour stop is close enough to them on a specific week, you still got nearly 80 bowlers a week. With the new system, instead of there being 13 spots a week up for grabs, there may be none some weeks, and only a couple other weeks. The incentive for all those guys who missed the Tour Trials cut to go out every week there is a PTQ went from "at least possible", to "what's the point". A lot of the guys chasing that dream will see this as the last straw... and that's sad.

    • @atbsigma
      @atbsigma Pƙed 19 dny +1

      @@elex300I understand how you feel, especially if you are trying to bowl PBA events also.
      But the time to be a PBA member easily has come and gone. Prior to and maybe a year after 2020, all you needed was a 200 average and money for your entry fee. You could pay your way into a national stop if you wanted.
      This was probably a way to bring prestige back to the game. Can’t just buy your way into bowling with the best in the world anymore.

    Brad, man oh man!! your humbleness is contagious. Love your guy's content, you're killing it no matter how you feel right now. I love the fact that you're of the mindset that you are taking positive away from a tough situation, always expanding our mindset. Keep up the great work!

    Love the message here, Brad, definitely hit home for me as I’ve been grinding to better at the sport I love, golf. I’ve been down on myself for the last couple of years and your words about focusing on the progress rather than the result is extremely encouraging. Thanks for the great content and hope we continue to see you on these vlogs, been a fan for years.

    Brad, you're an absolute inspiration for us "more" average type bowlers. I try super hard to pattern my game after yours. I know it's disappointing on a level that I can't possibly understand but I'm pulling for you in the PTQ's and growth of the channel etc.

    Absolutely love the realness here. Brad, You Are the MAN! In today’s world where everybody gets a trophy this is the BEST example of how to handle yourself when things don’t go your way. THIS IS LIFE! You don’t always get a trophy. Thanks for keeping this so REAL! Kids out there - this is someone you should want to idolize! A True Professional!

    Keep working on it. Stay healthy mentally and physically. Keep grinding it out and it will show on the lanes. Until next time, keep it rolling. And thank you for all the content into being chasing perfection.

    Brad, it was so great to watch your journey during this whole thing. While I was bummed that I won’t be watching you on the tour, I was rooting for you the whole time. I was impressed that you kept a great attitude despite that in the end, it wasn’t what you were hoping for. I will continue to be in your corner cheering you on in any future adventures.😁

    Man. I just want to say, and not that anything I have to say matters in the grand scheme of things. But here we are.
    I just want to say, Brad and Kyle are hands down, bar none, the most genuine and professional bowlers on the tour.
    And Brad, you gave it everything you had, you did great man. Though the end result may not have met your expectations, yet you still remained humble in the face of defeat. The confessional at the end of the video was awesome. You're a real one dude.

    The way is clear now for you to begin your two-handed journey! It would be a good storyline and create some new goals!

    Hang in there Brad I know your Disappointed but for us league bowlers we wish we were as good as you. You and Kyle were the first Bowlers I followed, and I will continue to support you both and I know eventually you'll be exempt.

    Shout out to Brad! I know that was rough knowing you didnt make it and wont be full time this season but you get a solid 4 months off to work and improve your game. Honestly, this could be the most important time off you have ever had. Some people might get down and think this is not for them but this is your time to work hard and put in that Kobe like work behind the scenes and come back with a vengeance. You got this Brad, I know you do. Cant wait to see you back!
