Sadly, fans seem not to understand that taking souvenirs is never appropriate, no matter how much they adore someone. Graves are final resting places-to be visited, respected, and left AT REST. Thank you for sharing.

I live not too far from Andre's ranch. It used to be known as Roussimoff Ranch but is now out of the family's hands. Not many know that there are actually 2 famous wrestlers laid to rest there. Andre (obviously) and Luna Vachon, daughter of Paul "The Butcher" Vachon. I ride by at least once a month. I'll say "hi" for ya

I was watching the race Dale died in on tv with one of my best friends. We were excited Michael Waltrip won but knew something serious was going on with Dale. Me and my best friend looked at each other and said "He died!" The reason why his grave is not accessible is because the family didn't want his grave disturbed. The media did their best to get any photo of him after the race and at the hospital. Dale Jr said that he didn't want his father remembered like that.

His fans meant a lot to him. I don't mean let them right up to the grave but open the corridor to a certain point to the sarcophagus. The Intimidator, a true legend. The Great Mausoleum's downstairs is totally off limits to the public. I was told it is a kind of who's who of Hollywood and the entertainment community. Some stars you cannot visit as they are interred there are: Michael Jackson, Clark Gable, Carol Lombard, William Powell, Jean Harlow, W.C. Fields and many others.

North Carolina USA allows burial on your own personal property. That's why you can't visit Andy Griffith, Andre the Giant and Dale Earnhardt. I wonder how many other US states allow burial on private property.

I love Randy “Macho Man” Savage during my youth too! My granny only got 5 channels so every summer in Mississippi we sat and watched all the stories (soap operas lol), westerns and wrestling. Can you imagine the wear and tear and upkeep on some of these sites? And even possible desecration, just from being “loved to death“. I can understand why next of kin wouldn’t want to put up with that or have to pay for security or constant cleanup at the site. Just because they were stars in this life doesn’t mean we have the right of perpetual access to them.

Kobe Bryant and his daughter are buried together in an unmarked grave at Pacific View Memorial Park in Orange County, CA. The exact location is known only to the Bryant family and cemetery staff, so that the family can mourn privately without the grave becoming a shrine for Lakers fans.
"The Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin is buried on the grounds of his beloved Australia Zoo in a location accessible only to the family.
Also, country music legend and sausage mogul Jimmy Dean is entombed in a piano shaped crypt on the grounds of his estate in Virginia.
Bluegrass/Gospel singer & songwriter Joey Feek, half of the husband & wife duo Joey & Rory, is buried in a family cemetery on the property of her Indiana farm, where Rory still lives with their daughter.

I love to search the Internet for videos or pictures of grave sites that I'd want to visit if I ever got the chance. I'd definitely visit several on your list if it were possible. Princess Diana's is private also. I'd love to just see a glimpse of her resting place! And I find it interesting for some of these famous people who have plain and simple burial plots and monuments, nothing special. If you didn't know the name you'd think it was the average ordinary person.
