The reverb on Sully’s voice in the chorus is otherworldly. Makes the shit sound magical!
he didn't sell his soul to the Devil , Hes the one buying them ! magical/religious? ever how ya wanna look at it just saying ! lol
Doesn’t it though?!
This was probably Sully's best performance of Awake ever recorded.
GodsmackAR69 you're not kidding, wow!!
definitely in their prime plus their hometown............
Yea, he just radiates the whole vibe, he's 100% in it :)
2001 on Germany was kinda cool but yup u right this is the best...he is 100 in the song
And 4:39 he can’t do the aaaaa yeah
Bands today don’t realize bass and a really good drummer will make you sound otherworldly haha. Godsmacks bass and drums always make me feel that shit in my chest
Best version of Awake I have ever heard, unreal.
Godsmack is my religion
I remember buying this on DVD 😁 🤟🤟 Look at the energy on stage
at 1:50 when he says told you im AWAAAAAKE!!! gives me fuckin chills!!! so good
The fact he can't do the "YEEEEAH!!" Really heavy like he used to really blows. But he sounded amazing for almost 50 years old when I saw them last year.
That's what happens when rock singers get old, they just don't have it as consistently
I mean he probably still could he just chooses not to because his voice changed and adapted over the years
The way he sing is crazy raspy. The fact he still has that rasp is incredible
Sully= ROCKSTAR!!!
OH MY GODSMACK!!!!
Such a good concert, I wish I went there at the time fuck...His voice back then was top notch for sure.
Very top notch. Saw them at least 10 times back in that day. Amazing... You can see the intensity in eyes in this that he just doesnt have anymore... 😕
@@logancreed5041 yea, he were so pissed of and angry back then, sad he lost his sharp vocals and anger
What a song

Hell yeah they are the shit and I fucking love Metallica \m/
Godsmack is literally one of the best bands to open up for Metallica I think
I've seen them in Colorado in 2007 and they rocked the amphitheater down!! This is the best live version I have heard so far!!
I watched the fuck outta that dvd. Always cool to take a trip down memory lane.
One of my favorite song I saw them with Metallica in 2004 great show
godfuckingsmack will always make my day
Godsmack owns
Downloaded this from Kazaa in 2002. Watched the hell out of it.
This song just kicks you RIGHT IN THE FUCKING FACE!!!
The way rock is supposed to be performed live! Earth-shattering bone-crunching ear-grinding hellraising spellbinding sonic assault on the senses!
Word
Tommy Stewart was a beast on drums. Far better than the current crap drummer Shannon Larkin. I was lucky enough to see them on the very first album tour. Incredible.👍👍
Shannon is also good. He might not as heavy hitters like tommy. But Shannon in my opinion is more creative. But i like them both
LOVE this band THEY FUCKN ROCK
I fucking love Godsmack and SULLY ;|P

He said he gets his vocal influences from James Hetfield,Scott Weiland and Layne Staley.
