lol the referees fuckin took off right away, clear sign of guilt
Lol these guys got robbed!!!
+kuruptzZz Refs always run out like that, especially when they know a mob scene is about to happen after a victory, but they did screw up big time here.
No a clear sign of not wanting to get beat up by the whole Rutgers Student Body
i mean to be fair the refs always try to get out as fast as possible they arent suppose to stay on the court to long because of saftey reasons.
Because of safety reasons??? What's that supposed to mean? They could have also replayed the play, but no they leave right away because they are in danger?
I hope these guys were fired and never hired again.
Well they do look ancient😂
there old i hope god saw that and called em up so they cant ruin any more games lmao jks
I HOPE THEY DIED
Bleuberry woah that's intense
They got traded for a Big Mac with a side of small fries
This may be the most correctly titled video on CZcams.
+Blackhawk89 I usually disregard any videos with titles that include "must see", "best ever", "worst ever", "shocking", "you won't believe", etc. But I think you're right on this one!
No doubt the refs blew this game. The Rutgers coach could have been T'd up at the 1.7 mark as well for blatantly being on the court. Regardless, something looks fishy with those refs.
preach
You said your sentence so rightly
Its "this may be the most correct video title on youtube'
Kenneth Lorovico actually both of those work so 🤷♂️
"The Worst Reffed 7 Seconds EVER!!!" I was going to say I've heard this before, prior to watching it, but you may actually be right.
The real refs where found tied and gagged it the bathroom
Good
+Leo Normil Are you for real or am I just stupid?
+Touy I'm joking but some of those refs really weren't scheduled for that game till late around the time of the game but that's no excuse for the horrible job
hahaha
lol!!!!
That last call is incredible. Clearly 1.7 seconds on the clock... and then, to boot, throwing the ball into the stands like that is a technical foul for delay of game. So they should have gotten a free throw, and then the ball.
Yep, why didn't they even review it? Within 5 seconds the refs are just walking out...
bc being a ref is soo much work, they needa go home and rest up.. lol those refs look like they missing a chromosome tbh
It wouldn’t have been a T rather a warning unless it had happened to that player before, but it is true that these refs really only wanted to get off the court
Jeff Roitero yes I agree they should've there was still time on the clock that was the worst 7 seconds in a basketball game I have EVER SEEN!
It even would have been 2 free throws since it’s college
Wow. And they just booked it afterwards. Cuz they knew they fucked up
Refs had to go to the bathroom.
*betting rooms"
Lol
+I'mNotCharlesBarkley SoDon'tBanMe Hold this W
refs had to go call the bookie who set that up
Lol the over the back, the "foul" on the hail mary pass AND he stepped out of bounds with time on the clock. Those refs should not have jobs after this debacle.
Not only that but throwing the ball out of bounds into the crowd like that is a technical foul. You cannot do that. Refs swallowed their whistle there.
@@MonarchEAS Refing was god awful, but I'd be benching that player for life after that play. God how stupid are you. He literally threw away a won game for no reason if it was called better.
I like how fast the refs left
lol the ref took off after the horn was called like he was runnin track. I hope these refs were fined or fired cause they screwed Rutgers out of a win because of their ineptitude as refs.
+Elise Fincher we don't know that, they screwed them out of a chance to win
"Officials withdraw from Big East tourney"espn.go.com/new-york/news/story?id=6201265 They were pulled from the tournament. Hopefully, never to ref in Division I ball ever again.
he stepped out with 1.9 left plenty of time for inbound catch and shoot
Plus should have been delay of game so two free throws right there
The ref doesn't wanna see that...
3astMon3ySnip3r uhm, there would be 3 free throws because the guy shot the ball and got his arm swiped...
Can't let unranked teams beat ranked teams. :) good save refs
I honestly hope this is sarcasm XD
It obviously is.
Seriously, I've seen some calls with no just college basketball but football as well where it feels like they try to save ranked teams. Its completely bs
Damn, refs got out of there like "business as usual"
Jim Burr, the troll who retreated right away after the game, and Tim Higgins, the official who looks like John McCain, are two of the worst officials in NCAA basketball history. How they lasted so long in their jobs is beyond me. The same can be said about Karl Hess. Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit. Nothing but shit.
Are they still refereeing ?
what the hell just happened? foul at the baseline. the buzzer right before a free throw? wtf.
the blatant foul at center court. the travel and ball out of bounds with 1.7 left?? refs running to the locker room.
Elliott_dundiditagain
Higgins isn't. Burr is.
Aye Zee Not only that but the foul that took place in that replay at 0:42
Tim Higgins just fucked Kentucky. lol
This simply makes me angry at the world
give that guy a fine
Chris Smoove reference...
John Williams
give that guy a manual
Chris Smoove lol
Vivid Tense if u sag off yo swags off
If you reach, I teach 😂
Lmao ref said im getting the fuck out of here
This really is unbelievable
When you still got 7 seconds to ref in a game but bae texts you saying "I'm home alone"
Ref want to go home, game of throne is on tv
This happened before Game of Thrones came out lol
@@superduperm1 r/woooooosh
So many terrible calls. So little time.
I love how the refs went "fuck this" and left as soon as the game ended.
Its always so sneaky when you see refs hustling to leave games after stuff like this
He's going to collect his winnings.
cant be late
Chris Payne HBTW nah he was getting the thrown ball
Ronald Reagan At 1:58 Really? It takes 2 refs taking off their ear pieces and swiftly leaving the court to get a thrown ball nowhere near where it went, your comment makes no sense
Chris Payne HBTW it was a joke dude lmao
Announcer said "you don't let players decide the game" WHO THE HELL DO YOU LET DECIDE THE GAME THEN?
decent refs
Sean Legghette No. refs help make the game fair. The fucking players decide the game
You don’t let players decide the outcome by fouling.
And then tonights game when Ross hit that three for OT
that was a bs call..worse than this one.
Refs fixed this game. They walked off the court faster than everyone. WTF?
Guys wake up, this is not bad refs, bad calls, miss calls, or just human error by refs. These refs know exactly what they are doing and are confident in doing it. Think about how much money is in ratings, gambling, advertisement.....ect. There is so much motive for purposely influencing the game. They missed those calls for a reason, wake up young kids, this is the world your mommy and daddy didn't prepare you for.
Yes because they said "Honey if a man gets shot you let him die because that's how you do business"
You're an idiot.
Your a fuckin idiot
Dumbass
are u one of those refs?
Jimmy Burr was reffing. That game was running late and it was close to "last call'' at his regular watering hole. That drunk wasn't about to let a silly basketball game get in the way of a drinking binge.
Lol!!!!
If you look closely at 2:26, he stepped out of bounds, and threw the ball before the buzzer buzzed.
The refs were really dumb. They should be fired and out of their job for working for the NCAA or the NBA.
no hate but thats kind of the point of the video
finn olson I know that.
And he travelled.
Basically I see other people debating over the back fouls and foul this foul that....fine, debate it... but THIS was a fucking fact. He was clearly out of bounds traveling and throwing the ball in the stands with time in the clock. At 2 seconds (or maybe little less, but who fucking cares) he goes out of bounds, and the rest unravels. Basically shit like this is in your face facts and somehow people just move on and it never gets addressed. + It's hard to find people who are A. smart enough to understand this, and B. not just mad because their team is getting screwed. I'm not even a college basketball fan and I clearly see that shit.
Should have been 1.7 seconds left and a technical foul on the dude that threw the ball out. Holy crap, how was that not reviewed?
it was a travel and out of bounds at the end of the game
Referees on last part be like. Let's get out here they're gonna kill us.
someone was clearly screwing with this game!
Now i know why people think basketball is rigged. This game sure looked like it was lol
Almost every NCAA Basketball game is rigged. Even down to the SWAC teams that no one cares about!
lol the refs were like "fuck it lets get out of here"
that ref left with the quickness he knows he fucked up big time multiple times.
This is what happens when your refs are 492 years old. They just wanna go home.
notice how the ref got out of there quick
"you don't let players decide the game in the sense that if it was a foul it's a foul" - commentator
them refs didn't care they just wanted to go home😂😂😂
This was definitely an example of piss poor officiating.
Refs at the end be like "It's been a long 2 hours of getting paid to watch a basketball game and blow a whistle, I gotta get teh fuq out of here."
Those refs were like I’m out they didn’t even review it
Whenever you see a ref run off the court to the locker room as soon as the buzzer sounds you can be positive they know they screwed up and they don’t care, or they did it on purpose. If an NBA ref making $200,000 can be on the take from gamblers why wouldn’t anyone think college refs getting paid far less can also be?
What did Rutgers ever do to upset the basketball gods?
Well that sucked
This was so bad that Joey Crawford cringed
1.7 seconds left when he stepped out.. that's crazy
Seriously, the guy just stepped out of bounds, threw the ball out of the bounds and into the stands with time on the clock, and nothing happens? Should be a technical foul and Rutgers ball with a few seconds left. None of these refs should have been allowed to officiate ever again if they can't even make such an obvious call.
Money talks, refs walk
that was absolutely terrible reffing.
I'm not surprised fast forward to today this is why I continue to say the ref's should have to answer questions like everyone else after a game.
so are you saying the officials should be perfect and never make mistakes? that is hardly reasonable because the players and coaches make mistakes and the fans, the loudmouths with the light beers pouring as early as 8am don't know the rules and could never blow a whistle properly if they were given the chance.
too many critical of the officials as if they can do so much better.
I’m weak all the refs left right after the game was over 😂😂😂
well payed
paid*
+Caleb K played
+Robert Baafi IK
There is no such thing as an over the back foul in basketball. It is a common misconception, the foul of the play comes in the push of reaching over a player. If someone can reach over the other player without touching him, it is no foul.
+Kyle Dietz yes there is
+Bryce Gibson I think that's going to catch on in the nba world... I can see it now
+Kyle Dietz I mean there is no such thing as a "over the back" its called a foul for going over someones back. different title. same concept. in this video. he fouled him for sure
***** no shit.. kyle just said that..
Correct, Kyle. The foul is categorized as a 'push'. I won $100 after betting a guy that he could not find the phrase "over the back" in the rules book.
When the ref just REALLY needs to take a leak.
THOSE REFS MADE BANK. You know they were betting on that game.
wow that was rough...welp maybe one day the ncaa will get better youger ref's instead of these old timers that miss alot cant run up and own th court much less see the play.
when did they let Donald Trump reff?
"Worst reffed 7 seconds" 😂😂😂😂😂 You funny!
lol the ref left the court so fast....its like he was late for a appointment or sumthing lol
That game was rigged. Refs got money
After.
lmao I forgot all about this game. Not a fan of either team, but this shit is just painful to watch.
This is a good example of what happens when you lose your focus
I reffed basketball for eight years. If you actually read the rule book for high school, college, or pro basketball, you will find that "Over the Back" is a foul that does not exist. It's a myth. The actual foul is hacking, which is striking a player on the arm. (Same as when a defender swipes at a shooter and hits the shooter's arm.) Having said that, it becomes obvious that the St. John's player should have been called for a foul on the missed free throw, because he clearly hit the Rutgers player's arm from behind. The officials also could have called blocking because of the excessive body contact on the same play.
The out of bounds call that the officials passed on with 1.7 seconds left was an absolute crime. Rutgers had very legitimate gripes about this game.
YotesFan1980 We always call it a "push" when there is contact on the back, which is correct.
The girl announcer sounds so much like Doris Burke from 2k
Knick Wizard doris burke is a real person
IceCold133 4 Lol
TheSwoosh it is her
Doris Burke is a real person. And that is her
, she does both college and nba basketball
Newton Plays "from 2k"
I'm fucking done with all you. :P
proof that games are fixed
Coach Elijah Wood was clearly upset.
whoa. that's brutal. i don't care about either team but as a fan of sports and a fan of fairness that actually pisses me off.
That one ref is like, "Shit son, I'm out."
give that guy fine...... What are you doing? give that guy a fine
that ref left sooooo fast. once the buzzer sounded he was like..shit I'm gonna get killed
I remember watching this and being in total shock. The ball was literally in the stands before the buzzer. "What the fuck is this shit?"
He stepped out with 1.8 lol
Refs' Union Memorandum: No Time and a Half, No Overtime! Game Over!!!
the horn blows just before the guy takes his foul shot too, hahaha! what a gong show wow.
he stepped out of bounds with 1.7 seconds left
WTF the ref just walked away.
I wouldn't want these guys reffing a girls 11u game
Post game interview
Ref: "Yeah I really had to take a piss, soooo"
Or, if you were a St. John's fan, the best 6 seconds. Welcome to March Madness!
Clearly got paid off.
I remember watching this game on TV and shaking my head then.
My friends dad gave a referee a pair of glasses... He was "escorted" out of the gym.
My God.... That truly was the worst reffed 7 seconds ever.
I do like the rule never to criticize a ref at the press conference though. AUTOMTIC FINES IF YOU DO!!!! LOVE THAT RULE!
That's what I call a genius
Taken in how they say that there was no time on the clock when there was and how this man was taken to much steps it looked like he was traveling to to my school
Wow that travel at the end not being called woulda sent me over the edge
Also on the over the back no call, it was the st. johns player who tipped it out of bounds.
Money as an unconscious machine destroing everthing.
that guy should untie the real ref he has tied up in his car and return his foot locker uniform
u made my day that shit was hilarious
Lol the ref:
"I'm gonna get the fuck outta here"
i cant stop laughing omfg the commentators omg im dying
This makes me so mad. As someone who has been victimized by terrible refs, this one hurts. Just terrible. I hope they were fired and fined.
those refs did what they were paid to do. make sure the right team won.
That first ref walking away looked like trump. running from the problems like a coward xD
I was going to get outraged at the inept refereeing, but then I realized its college basketball and it doesn't matter.
The common term of over the back, it's what everyone understands which is why the announcers use it. The correct mechanic is a push which does happen on that play.
That guy must have gone to the Tyler Zeller school of going over the back
