My ex husband sent me this. He still sends me country songs once in a while (that’s something he did all the time when we were together and he sang them to me) He was a hopeless romantic and made me feel like I was on top of the world. He was about 8 years older than me and I was 21 when we met and got married but I was too immature young and dumb to realize what I had and we divorced. That man loved me so much. I’ve never felt like I do about him w anyone. Only difference is now I am in my early 40s and while we’ve remained in one another’s lives, still tell each other we love each other, still hook up on occasion, etc etc he won’t ever forgive me for the way I treated him. I know he says he does and he reminds me just how much he loved me and he tried to do everything to make me happy but never could and it finally wore on him to the point he was contemplating suicide bc he was so hurt by me but couldn’t imagine his life w anyone else but me at th same time. We’ve been divorced now since 2009 but we’ve still be in one another lives all these years but now it’s me wanting to be w my soulmate (yes i believe wholeheartedly he IS my soulmate… I just didn’t know that when I was young and troubled) and while he does things he use to do that make my heart skip a beat, he bounces from girl to girl relationship from relationship and i just want him to open his eyes and realize WE ARE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER but he just keeps running from it even though i know he still loves me. I know he’s scared and i’ve done everything i can to show him I am NOT that same immature girl I once was. I saw him today, i cried and he hugged me. He said it makes him sad to see me cry and he makes little comments about our past and how much he loved me and how he made me his wife bc he wanted forever w me. He gets close then he runs again. I can’t do it anymore. I’m just hurt. ever. single. day 😢
