@@griffinwelch2436 have you ever listen to punk vs goth music lmao goth is based around things like death or darker things and dark things in general plus a more sad attitude (sorry im not goth) and punk is based off leftist politics and angry music and generally more angry attitude??
they’re not super different no, a lot of them clash a lot and often people are both goth and punk. goth stemmed directly out of punk, hence the genre “post punk” (the first goth genre) and had the DIY focus like punk
not the same but very connected and related. a lot of punk rock bands are also goth bands.
Forget scene and emo. You missed HUGE goth icons of the 80s. That's pretty much where goth as we know it today originated. Robert smith, siouxsie sioux. The trad goth scene was booming.
I was incredibly startled with the new romantic look they chose for the 80s as well, the new romantics were miles more toward the mainstream than early post punk. I was expecting a Souxsie look, as you would given her massive influence.
Idk what you’re talking about obviously Rihanna is the only influence on goth fashion 🤧

2000's emo and scene
How can someone make such a bad research?
I know it's so simple (also I think there was something like rockabilly in the 50's but i don't know)
It’s simple, you take dark fashion and then make sure none of it seems on trend to whatever was popular in its time
I think they put lots of different styles into the same video and even though some of them intersect at some point it's not the same
I can't believe they left out emo and scene people

They'r basing these looks off of "popular" fashion of the time but the whole point of goth and punk was that it went against the mainstream. That 1970's style was only vaguely punk.
