  • Everyone knows that we offer amazing calibrations for the 3.5 EcoBoost F150, but that's not the only truck we add serious power too. The Expedition and Navigator are also supported by us and make some crazy power with just our tuning, which is also 50-state legal for 2015-19 Expedition and Navigator, and we hope to expand that to 2020 as well! Check out the video to see just how much time we shave off the 40-80 MPH times, which is the #1 area people want more power from on these trucks!

      @Livernois Motorsports & Engineering is this the high output that's 450hp like the new navigator. I'm looking at the navigator but when I looked at the stock numbers from a CZcams dyno called vividtuner the numbers were like 310 wheels which I would say is way under rated from an advertised stock of 450. I always thought there was a loss of 15-20%.
      Cause if ford is falsely advertising their power from these 3.5 than I prefer to buy the 6.2 escalade 2021

    Have a 2018 Ford Raptor with a Livernois 93 Tune. The tune was jacked, shredded the transmission [ Livernois said it happens sometimes, that was it, nothing else from them] Can't get anyone from Livernois to even answer the phone. Now new engine, new trans, CVF Intercooler, 126 thermostat, etc. Want to use the tune again to have it all run better together and still can't get Livernois to respond for an updated tune.

    Not to be that guy, but the original 40-80 pull was uphill to the expressway and the second 40-80 pull was downhill to merge onto the expressway. I would try to keep those factors the same. That 6,000lbs is definitely affected by uphill vs downhill.

    Older video, but an observations:
    The stock run was on 87 octane. You hinted at this with your comment about putting 93 octane in after the initial dyno session. To get a true reading on gains, just fill the vehicle up with one tank of 93 octane for the entire session. With 93 octane in the tank, I believe you'll see less than a 1 second difference (which is still noteworthy) between the 40-80mph pulls. The dyno session result gaps in HP and TQ, stock versus tuned, will also be reduced. No doubt the tuned computer will put down more power, but you wouldn't see the power fall off as drastically on the big end of the stock tune (when the computer was pulling timing) if it was running 93 octane the whole time.

    • @LivernoisMotorsports
      @LivernoisMotorsports  Před měsícem +1

      We have baselined many stock Expeditions, with, and without 93. You are correct, the baseline is indeed higher, which is why we call out what we baselined it with. This is what the overwhelming majority of owners do when they purchase a tune. They would have been running 87 octane stock (not understanding the benefits to 91+ on a stock tune) and then moving to our performance tune which would require the fuel change. But, we still see 9/10ths of these gains vs stock 91+ tuning.

    Got a couple questions if you would be so kind to answer as I am Considering this tune for my 2018 Lincoln Navigator
    1. How come there isn't dedicated tune for the Lincoln Navigator vs Expedition? As the Navigator has the High output engine. You guys a have distinction between the F-150 vs the Raptor tune (High output just like the Navi)
    2. I Read on your previous comments, your tune will auto adjust for 87-91. Is that how factory is as well? It does not adjust for the higher 93 Octane on stock tune?
    3. Do you need separate tunes for towing or the auto adjust tune 87-91 will work for towing just like factory?
    4. Any separate (Additional) charge if we want both 87-91 auto adjust tune and 93 tune?

    • @LivernoisMotorsports
      @LivernoisMotorsports  Před 2 lety

      The navigator actually doesn't have the high output engine, it's just rated in premium fuel vs 87 for the power numbers. On the engine side, they even have the identical calibration for many expedition and navigator models. The transmission side does vary, but that's the reason the Lincoln is rated higher is they did the power numbers in premium fuel. The tune will auto adjust just like stock for 87-93, but we have a higher power version for 91-93 only as well as an E30 tune that's even higher than that. If towing, you would need to install our tow specific tune as it provides improved safety with high loads.
