The brahmin being cooked with the flamers is actually a real dish, minus the mutant cows. They're called "smokies", a real world dish where the animal is burnt whole to a crisp and then you eat whatever parts. It's extremely unsafe and has tons of harmful bacteria but, fitting for the apocalypse.
Soren Invalid that's actually just how they prepare meat (usually on a slaughterhouse line) before it's butchered and aged.
I feel like cooking them with a flamethrower would be really dangerous. Don't flamethrowers work with some pretty terrible chemicals? You'd imagine some of that stuff would remain on the meat when they're done cooking it

Well that doesn't seem to be the case if they're burning them on stands for a long time. It seems more like for that certain dish. Plus, using flamethrowers of that sort is pretty common for preparing the dish as well, so it's more likely smokies.
i'm pretty sure a food-safe flamethrower fuel is possible, it's just a matter of giving the contract to the Mythbusters or some shit

This quest does shows House's flaw of dependency again and NCR's flaw of monopolies pretty well, a few Barons could really create a food shortage in Vegas.
no name given yes, but house given enough time would address the issue (hard to worry about independent food sources when there is a war in the horizon), while the NCR sit on their hands and do nothing.
*NCR sets up a sharecrop farm and have OSI looking into better food growing while House is just planing to use the strip and Hoover dam to nickle and dime them while building industry to sell things to them and makes no mention of setting up farming*
yep NCR is totally the one doing nothing. :3 Tho if you want to talk futures, the progressive era does follow the GIlded age.
The Strip needs the NCR's co-operation to survive. Thats why House wants you to keep Kimball alive, if he dies he'll become a martyr and best case NCR will institute an embargo
Petargrad 2 it’s more that Kimball will be blamed for the loss of the dam when House pulls to remain independent.
Both are right, death would make him a martyr and energize the expansionism going on, while alive he becomes a scapegoat for the senate. (to be fair, it is HIS fault Wait-n-see was in change so the Senate wouldn't be completely wrong)

I love doing the medicine check on the cheff its honestly my favourite part of the quest. I usually save the kid and expose Morty

Save the kid, expose Mortimer, and spare Heck. Walter's beef (no pun intended) with Heck isn't my fight to be in, and there's no actual evidence that Heck has killed anyone or done anything illegal; it's just someone unhappy about inevitable economic progress where smaller farms and ranches inevitably get gobbled up by larger corporations. It's not my place to fight against inevitability, as sad as may be from a nostalgia point of view.

There is a way to get through the kitchen without angering the White Gloves. What you need to do is go to Mortimer and ask about the history of the White Glove Society, at first he'll deny his involvement in that old world habit. But you have to pass a speech check to lie and say that you eat people too, unlike with Marjorie, who unabashedly is against it, but we know that Mortimer isn't. So if you can convince him that you agree and support his cause, he sings like a kid in a cowboy costume at Wal-Mart! 😂 He'll tell you where Ted is, and asks you for help in replacing him with someone else. after you agree to lend him a hand, he'll give you a freezer key.

This doesn't really apply to the White Glove Society anymore, and if it EVER did, then we reached the end of that when alternative food sources became available.
There's plenty of bighorners to get a bunch of steaks out of it ik I have a large stash of a few hundred bighorner steaks and a few hundred brahmin steaks to eat anytime I want and dozens of Nuka cola and sarsaparilla drinks I made from collecting plants from Zion area to make them and a good stash of bourbon and Scotch to drink and cigars to enjoy lol. 😎

Idk they might eat tenpenny residents and I can't have that , tenpenny tower is my home and is paradise compared to anywhere else in capital wasteland and I love my penthouse suite to much to let it go, every night I come home from looting and kicking enemy ass in the waste I come back to eat a big meal at cafe and a Nuka cola, and go to the lounge to drink some bourbon and afterwards go to my balcony and smoke a cigar looking forward the horizon and just crash soundly on my comfy bed lol

What I love about this quest is that it shines a light on how different civilizations within Fallout deal with "civilizing" the various tribes within the Mojave, and their rituals. The Legion's entire existence is comprised of an amalgam of conquered tribes, and completely erases their tribal identities. House sort of sweeps them under the rug by putting some spiffy new suits on them, and creating and enforcing (arguably superficial) rules within The Strip, and NCR either ghettoizes (Freeside) or pushes them further out into the wastes (Kahns).

This is the best quest ever. I felt like I was on some James Bond stuff being sneaky and all and locking philpe out. I also remembered to pack hollow points for those white gloves weirdos.
I always enjoyed unraveling the mystery of the ultra-luxe in fallout new Vegas. I don't know why but it was my favorite out of the other tribes of new Vegas. I've played it so many times but with you're narration OX the mystery feels just as fresh as when I first played it, love all your content sir keep up the great work with the channel.

it blows my mind everytime I see how detailed every quest in New Vegas is. 10's of different options for how you can play it out
Problem is, lot of them are bugged (For example, I had to reload this mission a bunch of times because Ted was stuck in combat mode and Heck didn't recognize him at the bar)
"I could make you care" and the unmarked missing laser pistol quest is just the same, it was so frustrating to try to finish them today without console commands or cheats

I reloaded saves a bunch of times, trying to save Chauncey, but even when I stood right in front of him he still dies. Darned White Gloves who killed my bro.
The way these guys go about cannibalism is just wrong. Eating people is only ok in two situations. One, if you're starving and have no other option or two, if you want to gain your enemy's strength and courage.
Gotis, death is a far more preferable alternative to eating another human and living with it to the grave.
I'm not 100% certain what I'd do in a survival situation. If the guy was already dead though, I'd probably go for it.
