  • Ever since its first diver’s watch in 1965, Seiko has developed new technologies, features and designs that have made the Seiko Prospex diver’s watch collection a favorite among professional and recreational divers the world over. Through more than a half-century of innovation, Seiko has continuously pushed back the boundaries of where sports watches, and diver’s watches in particular, can go and how they can be used. Continuous enhancements over the decades in safety, reliability, legibility, and ease of use have made Seiko a leader in diver’s watches. Seiko is introducing a new movement in the long-trusted 6R family that has a GMT function and a power reserve extended to a full 72 hours. Caliber 6R54 is presented in three new Prospex creations that are all modern re-interpretations of a Seiko classic from 1968 and are designed for diving with 200-meter water resistance. We are taking a closer look at the SPB383.

I've liked these since they released but was hesitant due to the retail price. I was patient and ended up buying one barely worn for 40% on eBay. I wear mine on an MN strap and couldn't be happier with it. These feels like peak Seiko to me.

Love the case design here myself too! Very much like the bigger brother Marine Master or now SLA series. This is really a slimmed down version of the 44.3x15mm MM300, and love it!

Bonsoir Monsieur DeGriff. This looks amazing in green... Although it's large the case design is really good, and it fits my 17cm wrist easily.
My only reservation is the movement, which I don't feel is good enough for a watch of the asking price. Greetings from England, Bob 🍻

I share the same view. It's a great-looking watch that gives of MarineMaster vibes, but lacks the 8L35 calibre of the MM300 (I realise the 8L35 isn't a GMT movement).

You know it’s a really nice watch. I love how it looks. Unfortunately, for me the price is a bit much for what it offers. I’m only saying this because we are spoilt for choice today. When you can get other watches with a true GMT for less than 1000$ and have similar levels of finishing, this is slightly disappointing. If you’re willing to oversee that it’s a good watch

I'd put that up against the CITIZEN PROMASTER Marine BJ7110-89E.

SADLY It’s not a real traveler GMT. For this money ? Come on.

nope, but this is a real office GMT. So what? Different models for different needs, no need to be sad :) And finitions are top notch 😍
