I think God just has a history with, in a *very literal* sense, demonizing anyone who says they don't want to be controlled.

It's NOT just calories, it's: your genetics including metabolism and all your organs, how much fiber you eat, how much iron, what ingredients are you eating in the whole meal, what ingredients MAKE UP my ingredients, what chemicals are in my ingredients' ingredients, etcetera. What can be healthy for one person at 200 calories, can be not healthy for someone else at the exact same weight/height as you because everyone processes food differently.
And then you also have to take in your daily intake, your daily exercise, which body parts actually got a workout (if you didn't do whole body exercises), allergens, etcetera.

6:21 I used to work at Walmart, and they tried to make you use their scheduling app (which they would change randomly without telling you so it's always your fault) so you could look at the schedule daily and know when to come in. The schedule apps would randomly no longer work for me, or decide my login credentials were wrong, so I had to use the "punch"clock. One week I took a picture of my schedule and went about my week. Found out later that week they swapped my working days and days off.
I believe this is all bullshit because if changing your schedule day-of is fine, they could likely easily change it to fit their narrative, wherein you can work 14 days in a row (illegal, but "it's across two weeks so it's fine"), but show you the schedule to gaslight you into thinking you were only scheduled for specific days.
The system practically had employees on-call for the full work day (7am-11pm) and pin blame on the employee for not basically having that app on refresh 24/7, watching it even on time off, because they could be changed to work that very moment.
I also worked at Walmart, and I also used to take pictures of my schedule weekly to defend myself when they inevitably changed it without telling me.
Yeah my brothers were never made to clean up either. Not like my mom worked with the girls. She would make us clean stuff until it was perfect. Boys would get away with cleaned up and that is all. Because “boys don’t see mess like that…” knowing damn well she worked hard on teaching us girls how to see the messes. I love the new equality of all that comes with each new generation. Slightly getting closer each time.
As a guy I always found this logic kind of disgusting because it's justifying inequality with more inequality, like the guy is expected to be unable to clean or do stuff by himself, personally I don't really care about messy places ( I only care about cleanliness ) but like sometimes I am so disgusted when I go to other people's houses. Like once as a kid I went to a friend's house and her mom was silently cleaning the dishes while the dad was relaxing after a long day of screaming to everyone that they were lazy , it's so disgusting when you go at a dinner the wife is blamed and shamed for each mistake and ignored for each joke while every bad thing the husband does is taken lightly and as a joke , whenever anyone else uses sarcasm , he tells them they're stupid, whenever he uses dark humor it's funny, whenever someone else does it it's suddenly not funny .

Man, the number of times I've heard my father say "two daughters and still mom is the only one doing housework" back when I was a teenager, while he was sitting in front of the tv. He'd tell me to get off my lazy ass and do something (as the eldest, I was always the first one called), then yell disrespect when I asked him what he was doing - "I'm putting clothes on your back and food on your plate!" Well yes, so is mom, and she comes home from work and has to start cooking and cleaning.
My mom said once that when they got married, they kind of agreed on the 'traditional' family thing - my parents' different education levels meant my mom's wages would never amount to that much, so she set up a daycare in our house so she could stay home with the kids. But by the time I was 16 she'd become a cleaner and spent just as much time outside the house as my father doing harder work, and I sincerely don't believe their initial agreement covered that. And even then, still, it's just a known fact that "do what I do" is always going to be more effective than "do what I say".
My father, meanwhile, was the eldest of four boys who were put to *work* by their mother around the house, and he'd use that as an excuse too - both in the sense of "I did my time" and when I accused him of sexism, but why say 'daughters', then? If you would have treated boys the same way, why not say "two kids and still mom is the only one doing housework"?
My husband does not see messes either, but I'll go after him until he cleans anyway. I'm not ending up doing everything like my mom.

To the person whos wife cant replace the roll, my sister does the same thing. Sometimes she will put the roll ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE BATHROOM instead of simply switching the roll and her only excuse is "its too much work". She is also the kind of person who doesnt put her soap, shampoo, conditioner or sponge back, she'll just leave them on the shower floor and wait for me to pick them up when i shower. Shes recently gotten to the point where she WONT EVEN PICK UP HER CLOTHES ANYMORE. she just leaves them on the floor.

In the EU they're trying to pass a new law that would require certain foods to change the expiration date text on the box. Basically going from a classic "This product will expire dd/mm/yy" to "best before" in order to reduce waste. Basically make it clearer that certain packaged and sealed foods don't immediately become dangerous when they expire. But the taste may not be the same amazing taste as before.
That would be, trying to pass a law enforcing in equally over EU. It has very much been pretty regular for companies to do it anyways. I'm guessing it is less common in some regions and they wanna make a better standard.

This is already a thing in Australia, we have USE BY for products that are legit dangerous after their Use By date and Best Before for everything else. Not like Sugar/Salt really goes off for instance but legally they still need a 'Best Before' date on them. Strangely enough canned goods do NOT all require this as long as their production info is on the tin.

Just because they approved its use it doesn't mean all companies and all the pasta I buy at the supermarket is made out of bug flour. I'm pretty sure across all the brands of pasta or any food in general that I have at home, none of them have cricket flour. But then again I'm Italian which may explain why we don't use it... And it could be happening in other countries. I don't know.

6:35 I had that happen to me twice. I started a job where I came in at 11 (I'm physically disabled with chronic pain and a sleep disorder, I'm not moving until 9 at best and often needed to go to my neurologist for pain treatment before work to get through the day). They needed extra help, so I agreed to start coming at 10 instead and staying an extra hour late as well. Then they suddenly announced mandatory monthly meetings at SEVEN IN THE EFFING MORNING. I tried fighting it and was told I could be fired. First day almost had a car accident coming in because my sleep meds weren't worn off yet. Still didn't care. It wasn't until they realized how much money they were losing in overtime that they started letting us call in instead.
Other job, same availability with the added struggle of I didn't have a car and had to bus in. Manager was a textbook abusive narcissist Karen that had chased of the entire freight team, so started making managers come do freight. I had my agreed availability at hire, AND a 25lb weight restriction. She scheduled me to come out at 2am to unload dozens of 100lb boxes with no fork lift or anything. I told her I physically couldn't even be at the store let alone lift that much, and she passive aggressively handed me a copy of the employment contract with "open availability" CIRCLED. I gave notice on the spot and said I wasn't doing that shift, if she tried to force me I'd leave now. "B-BUT, I'M OUT OF TOWN THEN I CAN'T EVEN PHYSICALLY GET TO THE STORE!" Oh REALLY Karen? WTF did you think I meant when I told you the EXACT SAME THING??
If your issues are on record, you could sue for them trying to make you come in earlier
@@jacob3988 Oh they absolutely were, I was on FMLA. Doesn't matter now though, in 2019 I had to stop working all together and get a mobility assistance dog. Currently trying to get disability income, should find out within a month so cross your fingers for me!!

Depends on what bugs you have issues with and where. I seem to recall that ants leave a pheromone trail as they go out looking for food, if that ant dies, the scent of their death marks it as a dangerous path that they will avoid. That's why, some raid at the corner of baseboards once usually works for a long while. It didn't kill all the ants, but it did force them to explore in a different direction, hopefully outside your house. Eventually that bunch of dangerous path warnings wears off and they come back, and you have to do it again.

My neighbor used to let their dog crap in my yard, I lived across the street. I started scooping it up with a shovel and flinging it into their yard, which of course made a mess and ended up all over the place. Their dog must have been eating excess protein because it really stunk.
Their dog stopped crapping in my yard within 3 days. Just "return to sender" at high velocity.

Considering the type of parent she seems to be based on her behavior here, she will suddenly make destroying someone's property a huge deal. I wouldn't recommend that. Dead ants release something called formic acid which alert the alive ants to pick them up into their nests and into the graveyard. The only reason that works is because you placed the bodies far away from the nest.

This is a one acre lot in the middle of the desert with no electric, septic, or water on the lot. The person bought it for $7k in December of 2022 and turned around and put it for sale at $75k the next month. I would say the only real addendum worth adding to that is once something youve thrown away has LEFT YOUR PROPERTY, it shouldn't be considered yours anymore. And that addendum is worth noting because around here, you have to put stuff for the dump out near the road for collection, and having things to throw away shouldn't be a free invite for anyone to walk into your property without your permission, which is where that stuff for disposal is located. But things put into public dumpsters, trash bins, apartment dumpsters, or things already at the dump should be totally free game for people willing to scrounge around for personal recycling.

My dad left a soda twice can in a car during winter many many years ago, once it was basicly the same as the freezer not to bad to clean up, the other time it exploded but the soda was frozen solid so only had to clean the tin shards, was amazing to see.

i fully agree with being able to just take food that have already been discarded by supermarkets. when i worked at a small shop in an airport i used to give them away to airport employees outside of my shop’s camera range.
that said, one time i had to go back into my shop after closing and get something i forgot. i left the bag of rubbish i needed to take out to the yard just outside my the shop while i ducked back in. when i came back out, these two old ladies who were *already holding sandwiches* they’d bought somewhere else were trying to rip open the rubbish bag in the middle of the airport floor. the bag full of dirt, dust, trash, used cleaning materials, at least one half-full cup of juice someone just dumped in there without caring about leakage. the bag full of stuff i would’ve had to clean up all over again because they wanted dirty sandwiches despite having already bought some.
Found a great way of dealing with dumpster divers when working in a grocery store….I just pour bleach over everything after I toss it and all of a sudden we stopped having people dumpster dive

I’ve been watching these subreddits lately and it made me think of a situation. Occasionally I play a game on roblox called spray paint, where you basically make art. But in comparison to other games like free draw, the experience is more infuriating. First off, you try to draw something and some random person scribbles on your just made artwork to spite you. Then they throw whatever fourth grade insult they have. Second of all, the reporting system is extremely slow. Because most of the people on a server are scribblers and won’t listen, AND ONCE YOU CAN REPORT AFTER WAITING FOR 5 HOURS, you have to be put on a cooldown after a single report. If it doesn’t kick the person, you’re screwed. You’re likely thinking “Well you could just save your progress and move servers”. Well unfortunately you can’t do that. Idk whether to call it mildly or extremely infuriating.

For the cars I remember having people who visit our neighbors, and I mean this neighborhood has a shit ton of "people visiting and don't know where to park", and this one family has this visitor that comes by every month at least twice that would park their car where our front windows can see them. Just before the mailboxes we share and such, so no one could pull up in their car to get their mail if they live far enough they can't walk (We have an older guy that has to do this, he walks with a cane). There was a week where the guy was there for so long another person decided to park right in front of the gravel where my car is parked (Since me, my mother and grandmother all own a car, I can't park in the garage) when I was on my off days. I was so pissed that I wanted to call the towing people. My family told me to let it slide just for a day or so, and of course the next day the guy didn't move until that night when my grandmother went to mention to them that I have work in the morning and I NEED to get to work. At first they were like "Well they can just drive around the parked car." She referred to them before she made a fuss about it that "If its not moved by the next morning, it will be towed as that's obstructing private property." Now no one dares to park in front of my car.
I think the people who get those giant wheel spikes are just doing it because they don’t want anyone to park next to them. It’s like taking two parking spaces, but worse, because it can actually damage other cars and property and doesn’t go away when the car leaves.
Also the only reason I can think of for scratching out the information for a human trafficking hotline is if the person who did it is a human trafficker and doesn’t want their victims to be able to report them (either that, or it was an unsupervised child with inadequate parents who thought it was funny and I’ve been watching too many cop shows)

For that schedule thing, I always, ALWAYS take a picture of my schedule whenever I see it, and I stick to what's on the schedule in the pic. (Bonus points cuz I get the schedule almost as soon as it's printed, before any manager can get to it)
Where I work, I have in the past had managers who would do that last-minute schedule change bullshit, or worse yet pencil you in for a shift without telling you. Especially when our schedules are required to be for the coming 2 weeks (i.e. this week and next week). Any time they tell me I was supposed to work on my day off, I tell them I have a picture of the schedule that says I'm not.
Especially since it's a union job, they can't do shit if I have evidence. Thank god for Unions, thank god for phone camera's.
