The last bit with Greg “if only there was a tool to mimic someone’s voice” was pure genius.

In reality, Logan fakes his death, used his hippie brother Ewan as a decoy, and ran away to Mexico with Kerry.
What if Logan had been faking his death and at the end of the phone call J Walter Weatherman got on the line and said “And *that’s* why you always leave a note/accept your father’s apology”.
Or "and THAT'S why you always take Tom's call."
It just fits perfectly, the family business, the documentary style shooting...bring in that arrested music, ron howard and some well placed cuts and you have gold!

I just realized that when Logan said "I'm sorry about the helicopter" I think he was actually trying to hint at the events of the very first episode.

But it DID make sense dramaturgically! And it's not a strange word for an actor to use (especially one that studied acting in college.)
Having said that, the callback here is brilliant.
