What the ants are doing at 1:20 is called an ant mill or a death spiral. Basically, ants navigate by following pheromone trails left behind by other ants. But, when enough of them lose the scent, they start following each other which forms a continuous spiral and kills them due to exhaustion. However, you can stop this from happening with either repellants, putting pleasantly smelled things like flowers to produce a chemical signal, or making a food trail that diverts them.

It is like the opposite of what a person with phantom limbs has.

thank you for this, there are genuine issues that cause things like this but people make it out as 'trans abled' and as ridiculous to compare it to transgender people making them seem ridiculous as well

as a bird owner, i know my bird at least would be THRILLED if i brought her to a shop in a backpack like that. it's easy to underestimate how smart, curious and aware birds are, many love exploring new things and places. they do have preferences and personalities but assuming the budgie isnt super anxious it's probably having a lovely time

Apparently the person who posted the ant circle just. didn't give context so basically ants do that if they lose the trail they're on, they just circle over and over until they die :( It's called a death spiral because they lose the pheromone track they're on and just follow each other, resulting in a loop until they die of exhaustion.

Casu Martzu is from my region, Sardinia (Italy) and the name literally means "Rotten Cheese" in Sardinian.
It's weirdly spicy, it smells real bad and it has these little jumpy worms in it. I don't know why old people eat it in the first place and I wouldn't eat it even if it was the safest cheese in the world :(

98 years old school? My secondary school was founded in 1833 (189 years old) and was a farmhouse for decades before that. There's loads of just ancient abandoned classrooms about and although I don't believe in ghosts, those rooms still made me feel weird

the ants going in a ring is actually them just going until they die of exhaustion because they lost track of the other ants and are following eachother instead which will go on forever resulting in all of them dying

It actually doesn't always end in them dying, actually it's much more common for ants in these "ant mills" to disperse on their own, however if you see one it is recommended you try to redirect them because it can be fatal. There's a lot of conflicting research online but from what I've seen it's not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.

The whole point of scientific names is that everyone with knowledge of the names know exactly what they are talking about, even if they don't speak the same languages. There's common names for everything but they vary for every language usually.
1:46 that was my old secondary school. They just renovated the school and left it there. There used to be stairs leading up to it, it was an attic room for servants. No Idea why this persons making shit up about it, it's also completely full of mannequins (the headless ones) from when we got rid of 'textiles' as a subject, which everyone knows because they used a load of sixth formers to put the mannequins in there.

7:02 it looks like the symbol of health or whatever it’s called to me, it’s Hermes’ staff with two snakes wrapped around it. It’s on the sides of ambulances and stuff sometimes. It was probably put there to protect the children and give them good health
The symbol you’re thinking of is a Cadeceus (might’ve misspelled) but the actual symbol just has the staff with the snakes wrapped around, no bone wings like the one in the video.

3:56 It's actually pretty normal and even recommended to eat when cycling longer distances. Your body burns a lot of carbs when cycling, so fueling is important, altough McD probably isn't the best thing to eat.
