I am glad you guys and gals are digging these videos! I DD have plans in place for many more videos so let me know what ya'll would like to see!
Thank you for doing these videos. My daughter is getting into disc golf and it's hard for me to show her what to do because she's a lefty and I'm a righty. It's so great to have a lefty like yourself putting out these videos for someone like her!
as a fellow lefty and someone who sucks at putting, I can appreciate this video :)
Lefty throw down with you and Zach...if can somehow get heather young in there EVEN BETTER
Annndd....fault putting...😂🤣
@@docxen Throw in Nathan Queen and I'll put 10k$ into the pot!😎👍
Videos like this are good even if you already knew all this information. Videos like this practice mind and putting is 90% about your mindgame.
So helpful. Love the emphasis on building confidence
Awesome advice!
I was with a buddy at a tournament and we were practicing putting and he was missing some 30 footers so I told him to come up to where I was about 15 feet away and just hang them in one after another and build that confidence.
Great video. 👏👏
Thankyou for this explanation Chris! Someone needed to cover this topic more thoroughly and you did an excellent job!
Thanks for confirming what I thought I was seeing. I’m fairly new to the game, but as a push putter, I definitely notice that the times I miss to the side is almost always when I try to get tricky and add extra spin.
Great stuff, thanks!!
Thank you for Bobby B. for everything he has done for disc golf and disc golf videos through many many years. 🙏 All the best for the future and hopefully he'll be back someday!
This actually helped me a ton. Thank you!
Thanks to one of my favorite pros.. I've been trying this technique out recently and have had some great results. Also, more Chris please 🙏
I’m subscribed, brother! Love your content
Outstanding!
Am terrified of putting and do everything in my power to park my approaches but this really helped me
I started out a spin putter but I've slowed the spin some and push more, so I'm in that spush putting hybrid category now. I find mixing the two helps me dial in the power level to not go too far past the basket if I airball, or if I hit it badly. It's a bit of a goldilocks situation where the putts aren't too high, low, left, right, close or far. And I can introduce more spin or push based on situational needs. Thank you for the video, Chris!
Hey Chris, excellent video. Just started about 3 months ago, and I am a spin putter from Day - One and getting more consistent from 20- 25 feet out. I started wearing gloves yesterday and amazingly I can actually throw better with a glove than without?? Lol's I even changed my grip on tee shots from the power grip, to almost the same grip I use when putting, and I totally eliminated the wobble I had after release...that is so crazy! Lol's
I like the explanation of push putting vs spin putting.
Practicing 50 footers instead of knocking in a bunch of 15s...... guilty!✋😂
The first putter I ever bought was a red 2019 Clemons Fundraiser Judge. I now own over 100 putters but that's still one of my favorites. SUPER versatile.
As a leftie this guy is one of my favorite players!
I prefer to spush
How many "Spush" putters are here?
I'm the best of both styles - I miss high, low, left, AND right.
I stopped missing left and right when I switched to push putt. . They still come out wobbly sometimes but it goes it
Man I’ve been watching your videos for years unsubscribed. Just subscribed :)
Thanks Danny for all of your hard work!
Rule question.....
I notice, when I'm practicing, if I know the exact pace count out to about 9 paces, I hit 95%. If I'm not sure if it is 7 paces or 9 paces...or 6 paces or 8 paces...I make about 67% ( yes, I'm ocd. No, that doesn't help me on the course).
During play, is it OK for me to pace my putt to the basket before I putt?
I believe so as long as you putt within 30 seconds (if we’re talking official).
so, you are saying push putting you are still spinning. Why? Can you elaborate?
When I push putt, I flick my wrist just slightly before release to add power and control to my putts. A lot of people would call this a spush putt because it's a combination of both spin and push.
I’m relatively new to the sport and still don’t see much of a difference between a spin and push put. I don’t even know what I’m doing. So both methods spin the disc. Is it just about how much flick in the writs there is?
Great question! Here's how to look at it:
A disc with more spin usually floats better, so if your putt has more of an arc to its flight, it's probably closer to a push putt.
If your putt flies more directly straight at the basket, it's probably considered a spin putt. But it's a spectrum. (Some push putters have more spin and vice versa.)
For the most part, if your wrist is curling as you pull the disc back, you're probably spin-putting.
Does that help?
@@dynamicdiscs You are awesome. Very helpful. Thank you!
I think also a worthy question is......."How long does it take to build good form?" I see the pro's changing their putts after years of using a particular style....YES, the CORE remains same somewhat but how do world champions just lose (in part to various levels) that good form they've spent years building??? and have executed under some big pressure moments..... the psychology of putting is also fascinating!?.... i.e. "hot putting days & shitty drives" and vice-versa......OH WHY, OH WHY does this happen ??????
Practice is best.
Depending on my lie, I switch it up.
Spin/Push hyzer/anhyzer.
why is Danny tag shamming me lol.
why does no one show what to actually do when putting. doesnt matter if your body does the things right if you dont know what to do with your hand to get spin
Is it just me or does Chris Clemons' voice sound nearly identical to Eagle McMahon? Like seriously, listen carefully.
i think its just you
Ugh
I love the channel and vids but I really don't need to see your channel metrics though. kinda of a weird youtuber fad showing viewers the metrics. Kinda comes off as desperate and passive aggressive. Just ask us nicely to like/subscribe and keep making awesome videos. Actually, in the same time it takes to cut away and show us your channel metrics you could ask us to like/subscribe twice. You catch more bees with honey than metrics.
Push putting is trash unless you want to spend years developing the goofy, unintuitive hand popping motion that makes it work.
This helped me out a lot, even though I haven’t practiced this yet. Still beginner with no frame of reference. This will be my thought process going forward. Thanks CC
