up
Not all heroes wear capes. Thanks!
U got my like!!
ありがとう。
Same here. Probably my most favorite song of theirs.
When Kim smiles, I smile. Thank you Kim. Rock music does not get better than Kim Deal.
Kim Deal’s voice and smile are just awesome.
Estoy de acuerdo ella es muy hermosa y tiene algo especial que no se puede ignorar.
Joeys guitar in debaser could wake the dead. What a legend. Like ear heroin.
seriously underrated guitarist
Joey Santiago's contribution to World Peace is underrated
Rewatching again in 2020 - fuck what a band
Kim Deal has the most incredible smile that radiates happiness 👍🏻
I swear I yelled, "I love you Kim!" in Montreal during Gigantic, and I shit you not, she looked up and smiled. Man do I love this band.
Hermosa experiencia, por lo menos tu eres de alla .
It was ME she smiled at, just so u know.
cool. i am jealous.
There were screams of that at Camden & NYC, too. Can't say I wasn't one of those voices 😂
@@runcaz7802 haha
Pixies saved my life
in 1991 I was in college at a party. I briefly took control of the stereo... there was a tape of Doolittle laying around, so I blasted it, and all these people were like "what is that crap with that guy screeching!?!?". I knew I was in the wrong place. God help those people.
Hate it when that happens, when you feel the odd one out for listening to an awesome band. I had this nerdy group back in school turn my Cypress Hill - Black Sunday CD off.
Awful! I'm a Doo Little and Black Sunday total fanatic😉
Same thing while in Holland on party -1992 . Asked them politely and they made me wait - we took lsd while waiting me and my girlfriend - and when they were tired of dancing and listening to their songs - IT WAS OUR TURN . Only we were dancing till tape finished then went to house-party in the discotheque near by. I remember every detail of that evening and morning after - walked home non-stop talking....
God did help them 😂
Exit stage 👉 I seen them in 1996 Phoenix park in Dublin and I'll be seeing them few months with my sons Conor 25 Seàn 22 and their girlfriends Jessica and Holly all huge fans of course 😎🇮🇪🌠🔥🌹
@@constancekavanagh1125They played Phoenix Park in 2004
I was at this show. Sang every song with Black Francis. And it was glorious.
Based on the crowd reaction, this band has got respect.
Start listening them - you will like them surely!
They're so under apprciated
well of course....! it's the fucking PIXIES
Even if everyone was welded to the ground it would be an amazing show. Much later, in 2010 they walked through Uruguay. They were still wonderful
its one of the Legends of rock since 1988
Pixies for the soul
Kim is magical.
2004 CITY OF CURITIBA IN BRAZIL. I WAS THERE! PIXIES THE BAND OF MY LIFE! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
My God they are so fucking good
Greatest rockband to have ever walked the earth. period.
stupid dumbass
+Travis Alan How's he a stupid dumbass?
because you cant say anything like that. just like the greatest album ever made.. it's ridiculous to say something like that.
Sorrie there's a band called the BEATLES...check them out!😉
Not sure about that - but probably the most arcane.
So glad I got to see them twice before Kim left. Happy for Pixies that they got Paz in and can continue to make music and tour, also happy for the Breeders to carry on too.
So glad that I was around for this music.
Fucking Pixies.
Love it
Nice to see their angst just as fresh as in the beginning. Francis has the best voice for screaming out the lyrics.
Pixies forever
Outstanding! Great to see Kim play very very well with Blackie again. Oh. Multiple locations with multiple songs. Whatever I thought about the Pixies and rock music is now done. More study and listening and watching needed.
Kim Deal took classes at Rock Star school on how to stand properly while performing.
She wrote the curriculum
So thankful I got to see them in Dallas TX in October 2004. Best show of my life
Thanks for The Pixies, I listen for Nirvana and Radio head because of you
that crowds insane
I was 15 when I bought my first Pixies album, Trompe Le Monde. Shortly after they split, but that's when I discovered them. They became part of the soundtrack of my life, exclusively for periods. I thought I would never see them, but the Great Summer of 2004 came (I am Greek), and I saw them live, in an incredible performance. I am grateful for your music guys, you describe feelings I did not even know I had
Awesome first buy. Could be the best cd ever by anyone.
Snap, that was my first album too. And my first Pixies gig was Brixton Academy in 2004. I got a 3CD Live set of the performances. I've seen them 2 times more, including in 2023, but the 2004 tour was my favourite.
Trompe Le Monde was my first introduction. Specifically Little Eifel . Wish they played this live more often. Greatest band of my lifetime/ generation
@@triffid68 My first album was Frank Black's Teenager of the Year, then I worked back to the Pixies. A FB/Pixies obsession enveloped me. My first Pixies gig was also Brixton Academy (2nd night, Saturday). 5000 fellow obsessives sang along to every word of every song. Stupendous moment.
@@jackominty3633 I think mine was the 3rd. Night, I.e. 4th June.. I got Teenager of the year and for ages I didn't get it but kept playing it as I had an inkling that there was something there. Then I played it without focusing on it and I got it!
11:00 this break and when the drums kick back-in is one of my favourite moments in all of music
Any Pixies that includes Kim thrills me to the core. Without her, no thanks. Ergo, This kicks Ass!!!
Thank you!!!! I thought I was the only who knew this irrefutable fact.
Hey they're still good honestly! They're definitely not the same, but tracks like Um Chagga Lagga kick ass, and their latest album is pretty good too.
@@antlermagick Well... I'm happy for you 😂 lol. Maybe just cuz u bothered to write it out, I'll be courteous enough to give it a spin, but realistically, it also might not even happen. But, for your sake, I'll give it a chance. 😊
@@heidi1552 Everything's worth listening to just once :)
@georg walt Ehhh I'm a fan of the first two songs, but definitely not as good as their earlier stuff.
while technically not the "warm up tour" i was 7th row at the greek theater in 2004. being one of my first real concerts, i was mesmerized and fell in love with music. it wasn't until many shows later (and definitely now) i realized i had witness something special.
What a great band!! Such a huge influence growing up. I was five when my uncle who was in college at the time bought me my first Pixies albums in 88 I believe. Then in 94 he bought me all the Nirvana albums and Weezer Blue Album, and I think the Breeders Last Splash. Also he was a late 70’s through the 80’s punk rocker so I was always getting skews of punk records. So that is how I developed my taste and style of playing! He wasn’t a musician he was just a music lover and had the absolute biggest on me of anybody even though the rest of my family all the men were excellent pickers! I feel like the people who didn’t get/understand Weezer’ Pinkerton were usually the kids who had never listened to the Pixies. Anyway I’m rambling. Thanks Pixies for being awesome and thanx uncle Brian for being so hip and cutting edge with your taste and passing it along to me and my brother Craig!!!
You aren't rambling, you're sharing, and in my books, that's highly commendable.
I'm glad you have an Uncle Rockafficiondo. I dare say, I am one myself. Would be cool to fall off a chair with Unkle Brian!
Cheers to you both, from Canada!
Alot of love and singing along when they play abroad is very cool to see n hear.
I’m glad to be the thousandth human to like this.
They should be nominate on Rock n Rolls of Fame!
There needs to be a new Hall of Fame, as in Uber/Mega/Amazingest Artists of All Time/Any Genre Hall of Fame. They would be one of the first inductees for the 20th-21st century.
Pure magic. My absolute favorite band ever. Has been since first hearing em in like ‘88. Pure genius. No other band’s music resonates with me like Pixies.
Ditto!
More bands should do a reunion. This one made me have hope for humanity, well done Kim for coming back to your original family. Amazing performance from all. Cheers!
Pixies voodoofest 2004...I cannot
even express what this was like...
Much love much respect...
Ah :) the Pixies lived up to the hype, and then some! So glad I've seen them live :)
2021 and I'm still asking....
'Where is my mind?'
I love you Kim
i'm sure many would disagree, but "trompe le monde" is still my favorite pixies record ever. the opening track still gives me chills when i put it on.
I've been listening to rock/punk/rockabilly/hard rock/power pop/Garage/alt./some metal forever & for me Trompe Le Monde is not only the one I return to most often but, I think, one of the best rawk albums of all time
I feel you
No way, it’s generally considered to be their worst album
You're not off track
All the albums were unbelievably solid.
Wish there was a compilation like that from 2004 from all European venues. I was in Ljubljana. :)
Que banda lo pario... hacia años que no los escuchaba y siguen mas vigentes que nunca...
This is an excellent video… good job, good job. This is the exact video I was looking for pixies classic just to sit and veg with…
I started listen to the Pixies in 88/89 when I was 18 or so, didn't really like the music, mostly because of 'Here comes your man'. But then I grew up and since my 30's I never stopped listen to them.
That little jam in Debaser is on point
I cried when the crowd sang to. How good that must feel
Hear you at concerts. Play this music in the morning when I was young. Thank you for being.
Los amo🖤
One of the greatest comebacks ever.
Toda la mística esta banda.
La banda más importante de los últimos 30 años y pocos la conocen
Si, los verdaderos rockers sabemos lo bueno
I was there at Tsongas Arena (in one of the balcony rows) with a couple of my best friends! Hearing "UMass" at an actual UMass venue was practically a religious experience. They had lost nothing since the time they broke up, absolutely on fire that night.
this makes me so happy
i've had the chance to see them live twice, best concerts i've ever been to
This is some brilliant stuff..❤🇮🇪
12:33 the joy on the faces!!
Great compilation. Such a shame that the sound is not synchronised with the image.
Super concert j avais 16 ans inoubliables
Gigantiiicccc big big loveeee! Yeah!!
Thank you very much for uploading this compilation! From a lifelong fan from Amsterdam.
Pixies are one of those rare bands that were not appreciated in their time. It’s awesome that they were able to tour again, with the original lineup, and see how many people love their music! They are that band that the average person has no idea existed but you can hear their influence in literally hundreds of artists. Love them!!
The original lineup is no more, sadly
I'm from Chicago I listen to the pixies on the radio station on xrt !!!!
Saw the reunion Tour in Barcelona - Spain in 2004. Amazing !
Fantastic video by the way, thank you
Que buena banda... cuantos hits para una banda anti pop
Siempre los mejores del neo puck
Yeeeeeeeeea
Here's still Kim
Hi! You're the 6,548,971st guy falling in Love with Kim Deal!😂
45 minute into this, the best version of Into the white I've ever heard.
I was there, it was f'n great!
@@davidpeck596 me too. Amazing! I'm still revisiting these.
Thank you for posting this. I was at that Coachella, it was amazing. & Radiohead played after them too. My friend's brother was pretty heat sick, so we left and missed Kraftwerk. But that was a legendary night and I'm grateful to have been there. It was soooo fucking radical!
Love it! But T in the Park wasn't held in Edinburgh. It was at Balado, near Kinross.
Thanks for the upload!
Thank you soooooo much for this video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God bless you!!!....
Fabulous compilation!!!
saw them at rockwave greece 2004 amazing live
Thanks for this. I appreciate. Pixies rock.
Thank you for compiling one of their best live performances
Definitely one of the best live shows I’ve seen.
Epic!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for this video! Reminded me that they are the best band ever!
Sensational compilation of excellent rock! Tyvm! x
great footage from Manchester. feels so long ago
Iconic
Big Big Love! Thank you Pixies for keeping it real!
essa banda é surreal
nice music,,,,, 🎸🎶👍
excelente!!!
Perfect Forever
Excellents choix de morceaux, belles versions, bien filmé, j'adore
Pixies classic!
One of the most original bands of all time. Not crazy about lps after Trompe le monde, but the 5 they put out with Kim should get them into the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Feel bad for new bassist, hard to follow Kim, nearly impossible.
the new bassist is doing very well - saw her live in 2017 and she was fully assuming that role .
@@BlueHopi144 baz is that right.i thought she did a great job.no one can ever be kim.but I thought she did pretty good.
Could say it's kim-possible
Paz is pretty awesome though, and without all the drama. I know who I'd pick if it was my band.
@@woopimagpie
Kim gave the melodrama and it added to the raw edge of Pixies sound as much as Black hated it. With her gone, Pixies is pretty much Frank and The Catholics. Meanwhile, Breeders maintain that edgy rock that I love. Just my opinion.
Best fkn Caribou I`ve seen
Or heard
I wish I could go back in time and catch this tour.
Muito bom .BEST....
The crowd trying to sing along with here comes your man and horribly failing is hilarious. It's like audio of them all driving in their cars mumbling through mostly unknown verses then belting the choruses as loud as humanly possible
98? I took my kids to see them. Last chance to see greatness,,
Granda Cassete.
🇵🇹🇦🇴
O bliss, bliss and heaven, oh it was gorgeousness and georgeosity made flesh….
Thank you little Alex DeLarge.
Kim Deal is from my area, she graduated from Wayne high school in Huber Heights OH and lives in Oakwood OH. If you watch a few Breeders videos there are shots of the Dayton Ohio area, she is so cool the Dandy Warhols wrote a song about her.
