- Today I try to get the most skill intensive achievement in Gears of War. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make a video on Seriously since all it would be is boosting, but hopefully this makes up for it.

Howdy everyone! Sorry I had to blur some of the deaths in the video, I tried to do it as little as possible but I know it's sometimes distracting for people. The guidelines policy doesn't allow for pieces of human to go flying otherwise the vid has its reach nuked, but I'll be posting the uneditied VODs on the other channel and if this video does well/theres a demand for it/if its even allowed lol, then I'll see if I can find a way to link an unblurred version here in a week or two. The wall is a great subversion of expectation, thinking the Berserker would bash through the wall, no she just walks through the side entrance for a shocking jumpscare
Man, I remember doing this on GoW1 and 2 way back, it was absolutely brutal, even with co-op. That feeling when you reached the end, though? Fantastic.

Doing this solo on 2 was painfully brutal, became massively better at using a sniper in all shooters for a while after beating it though. I think coop is a huge decrease in difficulty though, the revive system actually working is a huge positive.
Solo Insane Gears 2 is still to this day the hardest thing I've ever accomplished in a video game. I was stuck on the bit right before you find Maria for AGES.

Did you feel like GOW1 was harder? To me if felt like we had a slightly bigger “health bar” so to speak in GOW2
My friend and I loved GoW2 horde mode. We would play it for hours, getting into the hundreds of rounds before we get killed to just start another round of horde. Some of my favorite memories from childhood.

I really miss GoW2 horde mode & resistance 2 coop 8 player mode. Really missed opportunity we can’t play them both on Pc

Same man, me and my bro played it for hours just starting a game, eventually failing and going again, always enjoyed it more with just the two of us over having a full team. Horde was amazing

I love gow so much. Me and my brother played all the games on insane, and regularly go back down memory lane and play them again. I would be so happy if you continue this as a series.

Gears 1 is the easiest to do on insane. The hammerburst melts enemies, it has some puzzle combat, enemies don't spawn constantly, and they like to ignore cover. RAAM flipping sucks and honestly the only way to beat him is to abuse cover and grenade spam so that he gets stuck.
Raam was a bitch to kill.
These games are my favorite of all time. Started my gears 1-5 insane playthrough about a year ago. Currently halfway through gears 4. Gears 3 was a nightmare. Many breaks needed

I got Gears of War on the day of release not long after getting my Xbox 360. I was totally blown away by it until my first playthrough ended and I realised how short it was. I then went for all cogs and insane mode and I remember getting so stuck in the mansion and at General RAAM. Can't even remember if I used the turret or not. 😅

the cpu's on insane aren't useless, yeah they don't kill anything but they are the best meatshields, since their health scales UP with difficulty they will tank for you a lot

I remember playing the trilogy on insane with my best friend and the amount of times we kept dying made me want to chainsaw my 360 in half long ways 😂

I’m surprised I was able to get through the entire series, including judgment, on insane. I had to do it by myself too.
Snam is legit playing every game I’ve loved and spent the time to actually go and play the hardest modes on. Making me want to be in these teams lol

This video released at a perfect time, doing the 100% for Gears of War 2 and I'm still 998,500 kills away from getting the Seriously 2.0 achievement. I always put your videos as background noise when I'm doing Horde mode achievements. Keep up the good work Snam, love it!

Watching this unlocked so many memories of trying to survive the mansion holdout. Loved playing these games on insanity solo but 5 was too much for me, can’t wait to see you try :)
i had no idea the turret was that effective. i had to use the bug where he can get stuff on the environment and you blind fire until he dies. this game was way more enjoyable on the hardest difficulties.
im proud to say ive beaten gears 1-3 on the hardest difficulties all by myself, its was brutal but so rewarding

No way!! hats off to you man, i couldnt imagine doing 5 on the hardest difficulty it was tough enough on normal - but i might go back and give 4 and 5 a try on Hardest difficulties

keep this series rolling. I have played the gears games so much and i got MOST of the achievements aside from multiplayer cause those were just impossible

The Gears games started my journey into replaying games I've played in the past on their hardest difficulty (Evil Within's AKUMU, Dead Space 2 and 3's Hardcore modes, Outlast's Insane difficulty, MW1 Veteran, etc), and the results?
Think of it like a Hellraiser movie, pain and suffering, mixed with a good time

I remember going through the Gears series on the hardest difficulty, I never felt it was that bad, yes I died a couple of times, but other games were far more brutal in terms of difficulty
It's not gruelling it's just not fun, insane in GOW 1 is the best with 2/3 being the hardest, but overall I've avoided it for years because it just removes a lot of the fun of the sandbox like gnasher and chainsaw kills because it's too risky to close distance, your lack of health and the increase in enemy health turns everything into peaking with the lancer or using longshot but even that suffers from having to headshot a enemy as many as three times
It's a fun challenge if you want to make gears unfair but for a replay I always do hardcore because it's not easy but not too difficult and you can do more

I found this to be the toughest Gears game in the original trilogy to beat on Insane. Took me forever to do it way back in the day.

@@Snamwichesinconceivable is actually kinda easier in my op than insane as they are not really bullet sponges and they die faster, but so do you.

I found this to be the easiest in the trilogy. To this day, I never beat Gears 3 on default Campaign on Insane. I needed to switch to Arcade against Myrrah.

One of the few games I got 100% completion on. I will always remember the moment I unlocked "Seriously..."
From the campaign, I remember it be pretty easy, except for this turret section at the end where I *had* to get someone to come play co-op with me to pass it. Haven't finished the video yet, but my prediction is that will be a pain haha.

I remember going for this achievement back in the day. This game and CoD started my "start on the hardest difficulty" trend on games

If you want an additional G.o.W challenge, the inconceivable difficulties in the new series (4&5) were LEAGUES more difficult than insane, and while I’ve beat both on that difficulty, I definitely had to step away from the game at a few points. It’s all about figuring out the ranges the enemies can gank you, because the have the WONDERFUL habit of rushing you with gnasher shotties while you’re pinned down from longer range enemies. The problem is that you have a much shorter effective shotgun range compared to the grunts,but in many cases you need to be close. On top of that the boss enemies like the pouncers are super aggressive especially when you’re in cover so you have to not only dodge their attacks but you have to keep moving and relocate your cover constantly
Man I’ve heard! I’d love to do it in 5 if people enjoy seeing the Gears series on the channel. (Also the less gore option would save me like 3 hours of editing lmao)

@@Snamwiches I think 5 would be a fun one for a video! or at least as fun as the game will let it be lol. If I remember right 5 was a bit more doable but there was A LOT of resetting when I did it. Then again I have the dexterity of a worm so don’t take my word for it
Honestly gears 4 campaign on insane was probably the most difficult run I did compared to every other gears before and after. though I did find it a lot easier on inconceivable to be honest, due to the enemies not being bullet sponges.
@@mariosandoval1212 yeah they have less hp but tbh the way damage scaled made it less relevant Than I expected it to be since their TTK is so low

This achievement really demonstrates why high difficulty in a 3rd person cover shooter makes the game worse. It’s not fun to spend most of the fight hiding behind cover waiting for your health to refill.

This is the game that made me buy an Xbox 360 after playing it at a friends house. I played through that campaign on insane multiple times solo before I got a 100’ Ethernet to run through my house and have my mom hate it lol. Got every achievement and then put probably 1000+ hours into ranked after getting seriously…

Oh boy. I remember this game, fond memories.
The funny thing is that you it is MUCH harder to play it in co-op than alone. This is because when a player controlled character is knocked out, he dies immediately and you both lose. When it is an AI they just fall down and need a pick up. Sure, they can be killed in that position but it is marginally easier from an instant game over.
My brother and I, who played this game together, had to do a single player runs in Insane to get this achievement. Otherwise, you both lose your mind.

the memories, my brother got seriously and seriously 2.0 for gears 1 and 2 and we did the campaign co-op on insane and it was some of the most fun I've ever had

The trick to this used to be that you got the multiplayer achievement first so that you entered Insane mode as a god, hitting all your headshots and active reloads perfectly.
Ah yes the good ol insanity achievement in all the gears games is an experience i won't soon forget. It is amazing and a bit frustrating at times to go for this achievement I'm glad snam is finally getting to my favorite series in all of gaming and that he's enjoying it

People who only played the remaster will never know the sheer pain Raam caused on the original. Basically Raam on insane in the remake was hard-core on the original 360 version.

I played gears for 11 years, was a huge fan of the series and must’ve played 30,000 matches throughout the titles. I remember doing Gears 1-3 on insane difficulty solo, thinking I’d be done in a week. Hell to the freaking no, it took me almost a month and some levels are so difficult to do solo, that I literally spent hours on one missions multiple times. Gears 4 up this difficulty and strangely I’ve never beaten it solo but I have the Inconceivable achievement for doing it solo… after the 4 mission it gave me the achievement, still don’t understand why.
Gears 3 I’m blocked from getting all the medals as 5 of them never unlocked and I’ve done them multiple times. So I’m stuck with 1 achievement for the last like 10 years.
Although I quit gears back in 2018 as the game because stale for me, and collation seems to not know what they’re doing and doesn’t feel like gears since Epic left. But I’d give anything to play gears 1-3 multiplayer again as they was my best moments with this series.
Man, now i really wanna go back and play the Gears series again, i played the first three when they came out and loved them.
Fun fact about the multiplayer achievements if enough people left the lobby it wouldnt track ANY of your progress to any achievements that match. So naturally a loosing team would just quit the match as a virtual middle finger.
The horde mode for GoW3... a lot of good memories, including playing online and stuff. Nice memories

Brings back memories... especially with the torkbows and the final boss fight. I thought I'll never beat it, but after countless attempts the boss stuck on one spot, and I was lucky enough taht the fliers from the sides didn't kill me, and once it was really close...

I remember doing this in both Gears 1 and 2 and it's was absolutely one of the hardest gaming challenges I've ever done. I attempted to do 3 as well but I don't think I ever finished that one. 3 is probably the one I played the most though with it's great multiplayer and horde modes.

I’ve completed all the insane difficulties for the original gears trilogy and if you plan on doing this for Gears 3 that last boss fight is so frustratingly hard. They’re satisfying and fun for sure but man some of the bosses are tough

Hey snam, I have watched all of your gears of war videos and enjoyed them all. So I've decided to replay all of these campaigns and compare our death counters in the end. I've loved gears since I was young and has been my main games that I have played over the years. I'm not especially trying to beat your score, more of enjoying the challenge. I wish you the best of luck on your next challenges. I also thank you for giving me another reason to play these great games stories again. I'm also going to be doing this challenge for the new games, I find the new games to be not as good as the originals but I do enjoy the challenge.

Well snam I have completed the first game with 91 deaths (49 came from Raam) and I'm going to move onto gears 2. I'd also love to see you play gears 4 and 5, I don't enjoy the campaigns of those games as much but I hope you can enjoy the challenge.
