Let's be honest here. Floyd wouldn't get credit no matter who he fought. I always thought it was because his fights weren't exciting but the first maidana fight was exciting but people used that fight to say that he was a shot fighter. If people judged all fighters by the same criteria they judge floyd then everyone would have a questionable resume

hello folks, I am not a boxer but practice the art from time to time. I am greatful that virgil gave this speech. It was extremely touching, he is correct we all go through obstacles but we all do not appreciate them the same. I am trying to become a firefighter and can tell you there are many obstacles I have to endure and over come just to make it to class. Sometimes I feel like quiting but know I can't. I haven't even face the actually fire yet I am only training. When people talk about floyd being 48 it is not an easy task but he has been extremely professional and worked hard for it. Sure he may not have looked great during a few fights but he finds ways to win (determind). It is because of that alone I respect him and will watch every fight. As a fight fan, I only want to see two guys give 100 percent win lose or draw.

You all want GGG and Floyds 6th weight class yet GGG wont even go up 1 division to fight Andre Ward.

wblake22 GGG lied about fighting from 154 to 168 but he wants to unify all titles at 160 thats his goal. Why should GGG go up to 168 then drop back down to 160 same problem as ward with kovalev . I am not defending GGG its the truth but it is GGG fault for saying he will fight at 168 if he would never had said that there would not be any beef with ward .
