I would give anything to go back to this time and live again. Times were so much simpler. All my family was alive and we didnt worry so much about everything. Even politicians saw eye to eye on certain things!
I want to go back
I WANT TO GO BACK
LET ME GO BACK
I can't be the only person who thinks it's somewhat weird for a rooster to do commercials for a restaurant where people can eat his fellow species
Wouldn't it be cool if they did a month of vintage commercials of products that still exists. I'd love to see the Folgers commercials and Pillsbury commercials. 😆 I miss the good ole days!
Pizza Hut tasted better back then, I still have an old Pizza Hut jug that you could get refilled with soda when you ordered and walked in to pick up your pizza, the good ol days...
When I was a little boy I really believed Mrs Butterworth could talk. 😅
Me too and I was scared of it. We used Log Cabin lol.
I want to go back in time and tell people that I watch commercials of their time on my phone that is also a computer and 4K camera.
the 80s has the best most memorable commercials.
True!
Back when food, tv, and life was great
These videos makes me feel as if I were an American in the 80s... thank you for making my dreams come true!
A shrimp dinner at Red Lobster for $6.95. Wow.
in 15 years time a $10 Big Mac meal will be cheap.
Riiight!!
6.95 in 1987 dollars is the same as 15.64 in 2019 dollars.
I remember trying to literally scratch "dry" on my 7 year old skin. Bless my heart..
Dana Michelle Same here!
Brings back so many fond memories where commercials were fun and people SMILED. Nowadays its commercials making men weak and people trying to make jokes. I wish it were 1980 again. I would love to live through that decade once more :)
Dominos and pizza hut were so awesome then compared to now!
Love the 80s hairstyles!
Wow! I remember these like it was yesterday....I so miss the 80's!
I have the entire series of Miami vice. My kids and I love watching that together along with ALF, magnum PI and others. What a great decade!
Memories!! We had those Flintstone glasses!
Commercials were so much simpler back then.
I forgot how simple and clean the branding and art work was on packaging.
NBC 1987, I was in 11 grade!!
Those were wonderful times!!
Halls and then Pizza....yum
Commercials very simple, sentimental
Roomies.....RIP Corey Haim
I had those Flinstone glasses.
Ahhhh when Pizza Hut used to be good.
D S yes!!! When pizza hut used real cheese. Make you choke cheese. Buttery crust🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️.
I agree I don't know which city you live in but if you have a Jet's Pizza in your town I highly suggest you try. It tastes just like how Pizza Hut once tasted in the eighties original deep dish pan pizza buttery crispy we have only one location here in Buffalo New York so hope you have one it'll bring back some great memories
I grew up in the eighties. Have times changed including the commercials!
Aaron L. Times haven't changed, People have.back then Commerials were all about Family, and selling products, Family stuff, anymore every other ad is for an Attorney and suing a Company, its not only on TV but also FB,
Like i said times have not changed its people.
Thank you. That took me back to a happier time.
Getting a flinstones glass for 49 cents????? Damn today I had to give up 5 buck for a stupid plastic superbowl cup.
Rest in peace John Hillerman, Corey Haim and Jim Varney.
'Down For The Count'--an episode of 'Miami Vice' that to this day I can't watch without crying.
Definitely Miami Vice
luv this for real
I was 9.5 years old when these commercials ran. It brings back so many good memories.
Ah yes, a couple months from graduating High School, man, those were the days.
When life was good!!!
Better advertisements from the 80’s. Better then the ads now.
Oh Lord, I had the flintstones glasses from Pizza Hut when I little. 😂
God I miss these days
You and me both.
My mother and Grandparents had the full set of those Flintstone Kids glasses, lol!
Sizzlers was the best. Steak dinners for like 6$, included veggies and potatoes.
Ok...I'm getting old! I remember all these commercials.
Me too. It's depressing.
When they would actually TELL you the cost of something in a commercial..
I would pay someone today for a set of those Flintstone Kids glasses in mint condition.
Try Ebay.
Thanks. Forgot about ebay. I rarely shop there. Will do.
I have them. As well as Care Bears, Looney Toons, Peanuts, Garfield, Strawberry Shortcake, and E.T. Once I started collecting, it became a binge that lasted about 4 months...lol.
Really don't get special glasses anymore from fast food places... that always made my day
I love my Camp Snoopy glasses from McDonald's
Back when a dollar meant something!!!
Depending on what you were buying. Many groceries/fast food were cheaper, but electronics were way more expensive when accounting for inflation.
The pacing really says it all. We have sped up so much and I didn't realize it as it was happening until recently.
2017 and I still watch Magnum PI on Encore Classics
I think I was about 13 when these commercials were new. I miss the 80's.
Mrs Constanza, gold
Estelle Costanza didn't care about Magnum
49 cents? Now they charge you 5 plus tax lol I couldn’t even find the cents symbol on my iPhone.
Im not even live in US but this commercials somehow made me feel nostalgic😃😃
@@stoneyj1a1 they are😃
Glad someone made these, brings back so much memories..I'm gonna show these to my kids when they get older
I watched TV non=stop constantly in the 80s. I'm sure I saw all these at some point (except for 1 or 2 which looked regional) and don't remember any of them except for the Mrs. Butterworths commercial. So it was nice to see them again. I was a weird kid and loved commercials and would sometimes hunt through channels for commercials if there wasn't a show on I wanted to watch. (That's also how I learned most channels broadcast commercials at roughly the same time.)
The Strohs female bartender had a sweet mullet..
I miss Dentyne gum and $5.99 shrimp at Red Lobster
Magnum PI , was the guy. Magnum drove a Ferrari, packed a Colt 45 and was in Hawaii, every guys dream job in the 80's.
@jose luis pinzon C Oh yes, Higgins with his dogs Zues and Apollo .
I own all seasons of Magnum P.I. on DVD.
@@lydellflood8818 Really thats great.
My dream man!
Wow!!I actually remember the Mrs. Butterworth, and Dominos "Avoid the Noid" commercials from when I was a kid!!! What a great memory... Thanks so much for posting this!
2018 and I’m still watching Magnum......not that reboot though
Well yeah, he's so smooth and stuff lol.
if i get a mustache like magnum will girls find me more sexy?@@anamedina5415
@@johnnycarter2283 Probably not, you have to be sexy already for a mustache to make you look sexy.
There will forever only be one magnum, Tom Selleck!
I was a kid in the 80s ...there were sure alot of beer commercials..no wonder I'm an alcoholic now lol
A fake maple syrup commercial taking jabs at real maple syrup for not being "thick" enough. How times have changed.
I don't think my family had a TV until I was ten so I remember none of these. Love the flashback, though.
9:18 He's bangin' that air freshener.
LOL!
I had the Noid NES game hahaha!
I remember those Renuzit Room Mates air fresheners .My mom used to buy them . One scent always reminded me of the smell of bubble gum
So many memories, when life was good.
I so agree. No social media, no iPhones, no Facebook, no technology except the ubiquitous Sony Walkman. Oh the 70s and 80s were so good!
49 cents for a glass dayummmm. I wish we were back in those cheap days
I was a kid in the 80's. Gas was like 39 cents to 50 cents per litre.
yeah its called inflation
i love ernest goes to camp its my most fav movie of all time the camp were the movie was shot almost looked like the same one they used for friday the 13th
With inflation, that Top Gun VHS is $60.80. I wore my tape out as a kid too.
With inflation the average VHS tape retailed for over $200 back then. Top Gun was one of the first "priced to own" releases.
yet oddly enough pizza is still about the same price. Large Pizza Hut any recipe is usually on special for somewhere around $10-$12 if you order through the website.
You are awesome! Thanks for bringing back all these memories when I was a kid. Appreciate all the time and effort you put in putting these on CZcams!
I remember having those flintstone glasses! Had no idea where they came from back then though lol
RIP Corey
Roommate - Not only a dumb name, but one guy who's really obsessed about air fresheners.
The good days when your parents took care of you. Treat your kids well today :).
My cat appreciates the Kal Kan commercial. She looks just like the Kal Kan kitty.
1st gen Acura Integra! I have a 3rd gen one myself, 94 Integra GSR with DOHC VTTAAKKKKK yo! lol still truckin' along with 369,000 miles.
cats never change...
how much does it cost to sell out your own kind, foghorn leghorn? how much?
I remember the first time seeing the Red Lobster commercial on TV, my mouth was watering.
Well, Red Lobster hasn't changed at all....
The heck they haven't! I used to LOVE Red Lobster! Nowadays they don't have anything close to what they used to have. They did away with the Fresh Catch fish menu, and the dishes they still serve are NOT prepared like they were in the late 80's. That place is an overpriced s**t hole now in comparison!
Fabulous volume! I would say that 1983-1987 were the best years of the 80s. This is coming from someone born in 1988.
The Fuji film called “Super HR” made me chuckle as I work in HR.
@Hope Grimsley you said it, 1986 being the best of the decade IMHO and that's coming from someone born in 1966!😏
The first set, three days after my 11th birthday.
I miss foghorn leghorn😶
Domino's tasted better back then at least to me
pizza seafood and candy. now I'm hungry
1:36 Kids've been taking too much cold medicine.
I had some of those glasses at 3:31. I remember the Barney one distinctly.
The Ragu one was really good.
Richmond VA, I remember a lot of these commercials
lol a shrimp dinner at red lobster for 7 bucks...
Must. Have. Shrimp festival
Just for the record Roomies was cancelled after 8 episodes lol
Because it sucked!
Corey Haim!!!
The actor in the Renuzit commercial is Leigh McCloskey.
My big brother grew up in the 80s
At 6:39, the actress is Debra Mooney. She played Mrs. Wellman in the season 2 episode of Roseanne titled "Fender Bender".
I was 4 in 1987, but I also remember alot of things from the late 80's.
I was 5 in 1987 and i feel the same way.
Me too.
Lmao that milk commercial was all over the place
That man and woman in the Dentyne commercials could actually star in a movie and I would so watch it
I loved that commercial, I remember it well. I was born in 75 also the lotion where they tell u to see if u can scratch DRY on your arm u need lotion. I remember trying that and using that trick for years after that. When I just saw the commercial I did it again. No lotion needed haha!
Food was delicious back then!
michal Williams yes!!!!!!
I knew I remembered Mars bars as a kid!!! I saw them recently in the foreign imported food section and they cost a fortune. They're imported from the UK, I think. I could swear I ate them as a kid and they disappeared. And whoa, almost 30 bucks for a VHS movie in mid 80s dollars! I do remember they were expensive af. That's why the rental store was so popular. 😂 And the lady mullet at 12:12 OMG😂😂😂
The UK Mars bars are pretty much the same as Milky Way bars in the US and aren't the same as the Mars bars that were discontinued here.
@@80sCommercialVault Bummer. I think Snickers with almonds are pretty much the same as the original Mars.
They are still readily available here in Australia. You can get them for $1 in super markets/grocery stores.
If they are like UK version without almonds then they're not the same as the American version advertised here.
I remember the original Mars bars. Chocolate covered nougat with a single almond on top.
JUst thE tWO of UUuUUsS
My science teachers name was Butterworth
Wow the Integra. I forgot about that car. I was 9 when Acura released that one.
still popular in racing circles
