I refreshed CZcams looking for something to listen to while doing cleaning and cooking, and this popped up; I gave it a shot, and barely 31mins in, I'm not just enjoying the nostalgia and the classic ads, but I'm also learning things I can apply to my own life as a game developer, with regard to compelling story telling and marketing. Bloody brilliant work, thankyou for your efforts!
Ultimately this stuff is pretty dry all in all.
However you guys pop all these little details, nuance and arch eye brow lifting to make it seem quite quite interesting.
Do you ever start wanging on about some awful cartoon and wonder what the hell am I talking about?
Please don't cos we all love it ya'll
X
I hope you work for a major publisher, because compelling storytelling in modern games is becoming depressingly rare.

As I resided within an "All Boy's" Foster Home (Boy's Village) in Ballard (North of Seattle), Washington.
Congratulations on this movie length multi-docimentary.
You had me at he man , Thundercats and gi Joe
This video is definitely made for me and everyone else who grew up during the early 80’s to the late 90’s.
Found you guys a couple years ago thanks to Pixel Dan. The more I watch, the more impressed I am with your research. Love the nostalgia, and your sense of humor hits perfectly for me. Thanks gents!
Also, rude dog and the dweebs.
re-iterating that 1985 and 1986 were THE PEAK of pop culture and children's entertainment for all time.
My favorite episode was the one with the tiny people whose entire lifespan passed in a single day. It was so deep and introspective. This show was amazing 😢
*leaves real quick to get a bowl of Froot Loops* Holy Rude Dog and the Dweebs!
The Dan-travagnza palooza train has left the station.
Sheeesh, this took me back. Good old days 😌
Ooh, a megapack! Thanks, Dan!
This is my childhood compressed into 2.5hrs. I love you guys!
Epic Collection!! I really love what you guys do. The amount of shenanigans involved in the creation of some of our most beloved properties is staggering. Thank you for keeping both the kid and the adult in me watching!
Those Panthro pop ups in the Thudercats segment . . . hilarious. I can't unsee it
Rude Dog and the Dweebs!
I've already watched all of these installments individually, but I needed something long to listen to while I catch up on some work before New year's hits, and there's nothing wrong with listening to some old favorites, so... great timing!
I love this whole production
That SilverHawks theme *SLAPPED!!!*
"Tally-HAAAAAWK!"
You have helped me find my 11yo (back in 1985) childhood, THANK YOU!
My favorites were "Jace and the Wheeled Warriors", "GI Joe", and "TRANSFORMERS"...
I just have to say, that Dan's hair is looking great during that intro!
Rude Dog and the dweebs. Also amazing editing on the New Adventures episode
I'm all for a shared Hasbro verse and I love Jem and the Holograms.
I had the Life size Tally Hawk, that thing was the funk! Those claws grabbed anything! but when those wings slapped together, DUDE!
A great compilation indeed. We even get to see how Dan Larson changed looks over the years. Hope to see the new videos in the new year.
Rude dog and the dweebs! That was a mouthful lol 😆😆
Great information as always. Thank you.
I loved them all
Great Episode as always !!!! And I always ask the same question ? "Is it Canon?"
I enjoyed this compilation and had it on while I did a bunch of stuff around the house. Kept getting distracted because it's just interesting subject matter.
Also, "Rude Dog and the Dweebs."
This throw it on the background compilation idea is great. I sincerely hope this idea catches on, and not just here.
I had a Rude Dog and the Dweebs tank-top as a 'tween. Loved that shirt.
I had a sweat suit with Rude Dog and the Dwebs on it. I loved it, lol.
That was one hell of a compilation!! Highly entertaining!!!👏👏👏
Also… I actually used to watch Rude Dog and the Dweebs… it was… a show. 🤷♂️
Awesome compilation can't wait to see what the channel does in 2023
Happy new year 2023, guys! Greetings from Panamá.
Rude Dog and The Dweebs. I can't wait for volumes 2, 3.....and 4....and 5......and however many you make
This was a great compilation to watch while playing games. Somehow, I had completely wiped 'C.O.W.Boys' and 'Exo Squad' from my brain. Rude dog and the dweebs!
RUDE DOG AND THE DWEEBS! Also, thank you for the compilation. It was a great companion while I was doing housework.
Okay, I'm 25 minutes in and so far, the Zayre commercial has hit the hardest. Don't get me wrong, everything is good so far. But damn, that commercial instantly transported me back in time.
Happy new year Dan and thanks for such a great channel !!
Rude Dog and the Dweebs!
And I am a total dweeb. And proud!
Great video. Had it on in the background while I was arranging and taking pictures of my Transformers collection. Felt appropriate.
Great compilation
When G.I Joe came over to the UK it was repackaged as Action Force,I had so many toys 😂
We don’t deserve this. Thank you!!!!
Some of the birds for the silver Hawks toys were actually whistles too. Like a hawk screaming.
Yeah I definitely remember that Copper Kid bird being a whistle seeing this video I remember having quite a few of those action figures all the SilverHawks,MonStar,Mumbo Jumbo and BuzzSaw lol
A testament to the catchiness of the theme songs to all these cartoons that I can still recall most of them to this day. :D
Great Video, Rude Dog and the Dweebs!!
I really do like the wild west C.O.W. Boys of the Moo Mesa, because it reminds me of biker mice from mars and it got action, adventure and comedy. I just wished they released the complete DVD series.
Rude Dog and The Dweeb would make for a great morning radio duo
Plot contrivance is a great power to have!
I'm not entirely sure if I'm a rude dog or a dweeb - would that make me a rude dweeb? Anyhoo, cracking compilation, thanks Dan!
Rude Dog & The Dweebs, baby!! I always love your content! Thank you for the compilation.
U da man! I'm enjoying this compilation a lot. Many, thanks! 🤩😛😝🤪😜🥰
Such nostalgia! Thank you all for the hard work, effort and research to make these contents. Love and appreciate your channels! I’m no rude dog just a humble dweeb.🤟🏻✌🏻
This video is masterpiece 😎❤️💯
What a cool comp vid. Thank you
Thanks gents!
One of my favorite cartoons in the 80s was the adventures of the galaxy rangers. Good video😎👍
This was great fun to watch! After watching your channel for the past year, I get the impression you really only cover US properties. It would be cool to see one of these about the Doctor Who line. Having been a contributor to a now defunct site, having a history provided by your channel would be FANTASTIC!
Ya'll literally busted out a clip show! hahaha 🤟🏼
Rude Dog and the Dweeb: No way I'm watching all of this again... Maybe a little ? :D
Moo Mesa started the death of my childhood, because it was the first cartoon of the era that made me feel like it was a show for little babies. Rude Dog and the Dweebs FTW
Rudedog and the dweebs my dude. I started it yesterday, watched an hour then came back and finished it today. Never too much Secret Galaxy!!
Wonderful.
Rude Dog and the Dweebs. Have a great new year! 😊
Best 2 hours ever !!
This is the best
I love your videos. These are very informative and it's cool to see how things worked in a time before computers, cell phones and the internet. Rude Dog and the Dweebs. lol.
Omg. Thank you.
I already watched most of these but it is fun to rewatch your vids in random :D
I wished it had gotten a final season. First was awesome reboot. Should have marketed it as thundercats UK. Was neat having original Liono voice new Lionel's father in the reboot.
Thank goodness. I was about to need to clean my apartment with only the sound of my own thoughts...
Dan, did you know that there were model kits of a couple of the GI Joe vehicles back in 1984?
I was lucky enough to build a kit of the "VAMP", but I have never been able to find it or other available vehicles recently...
Thank you for making this!
And I actually bought all my Exosquad at the TRU near Manchester (toy hunts with the now wife).
I think the TRS manager’s name was Rude dog and the dweebs....
That was great fellas. Have you done a show about Rude Dog and the Dweebs?
Gotta say I love your intro music
these compilation videos are great, i love putting then on while i build some gundam kits. please Dan make more of then its great viewing material.
also before i forget "Rude Dog and the Dweebs."
In the mid-2000s I lived in a suburban subdivision called Boulder Hill.
No masks, no missiles, no lasers.
0/5 would not recommend living there.
Rude Dog and the Dweebs... haha
Mega-Gun shoots heroes into battle. Is it canon? No, it's a howitzer.
Bro you guys made all that cowboys of moo mesa stuff up right?!?!
looove u guys
You ever hear the band Rude Dog and the Dweebs?? They had songs all about ExoSquad…
man this vid is just evil, you click and then you're just glued
Silverhawks: might have been my favorite of the rankin-bass anthropomorphic animals action series (thundercats #2 and I never really got into Tigersharks) I had a good chunk of the action figures was a pretty big fan of the shiny metalilc paint! copper kid was my favorite, of course.
Jem: wasn't into it back then but I can appreciate a show that lets girls know 'hey you can rock too!'
GI JOE: definitely had a ton of the figures and some of the vehicles, and naturally snake-eyes was my favorite I mean a bad-ass ninja that doesn't say a single word? (which they even carry over into the last videogame the series got, Operation Blackout, which I was amused by.)
M.A.S.K.: kind of like a transformers lite, definitely collected a few of these! wish there was more of a modern reboot maybe based on the last comic series they did?!
Thundercats: definitely a close 2nd to silverhawks, I'm still super bummed the Madhouse anime reboot didn't do better, I was enjoying it a lot!
He-Man: was a fan as a kid! definitely had several of the figures when I was little, I can still smell stink-or they really went all in on the skunk thing!
NAO He-Man: wasn't feeling this one as much as the original, I remember having his figure though with that swinging arm action.
Exo-Squad: Kinda kicking myself for not looking into it more, especially with the Battletech crossover angle! seemed like a cool series though.
Can't believe the cereal wasn't called "G.I. J'O's"
Thank you for the information on the toons can you please get star blazers and do a little history on them thank you 😊😊😊😊😊😊
What about Bio-Mechs? You should do Laser-Tag vs Photon. I remember when I realized that Mon-Star and Mom-Ra were basically the same thing.
Rude Dog and The Dweebs !!
Rude Dog & the Dweebs
Exo Squad was a great show. I can’t believe Thundercats, Silver Hawks, & Mask have not been successfully adapted to live action, or at least re-booted. I liked the Cartoon Network re-boot of Thunder Cats, I was bummed we didn’t get another season. Hell, how has there not been a live action He-Man re-boot?
While we are at it, how about a live-action Voltron! Anyone of these, if faithfully done to the source material, would be much better than the crap movies and TV we continue to get. Even a Netflix or Amazon outlet for any of these would be great
Sadly aside from the original He-man and G.I. Joe which I've seen most but not all of, the rest of these I've seen very little or none at all. Knew of them but caught either a handful of episodes for some, or none in the cases of Visionaries/Exosqaud. Never saw Rude Dog and The Dweebs either but wow, IMDB says Rob Paulsen, Jim Cummings, Frank Welker, Peter Cullen, and Dave Coulier.. Now I'm a bit curious..
Silverhawks… gone too soon. What a great show.
Rude dog and the dweebs LOL.
Not really there was a toy line that I ran across and it started with a commercial but anyway thanks for the toons and the fun facts 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
YOU GOT MY LETTERS ❤❤❤
Rude Dog and the Dweebs
Now I want to re-watch the episode on Battletech...
I ❤️ this so hard lolz lolz
are you a toy collector thanks for the videos
About 3 yrs ago I had every Exosquad figure on the good and bad side even the spaceships and everything that was made for the figures. Still in the packs and boxes. I found them all in crates in an abandoned house that I was demoing. Them my house caught fire about a yr after I found them and everyone of them burnt into a puddle of plastic. I don't know if they were worth anything.
