Anyone from Poland has to be a good person. Go Poland!
What impresses me about Poland is how clean the streets are and how charming the architecture is. I drool over the amazing food and how nicely it's presented, even at what appear to be reasonably priced restaurants. I really enjoy your travelogues almost as much as I enjoy the cooking episodes. Thank you for these glimpses into your country.
I noticed that, too! What a difference from the States. Makes me want to emigrate back!
I have been watching your channel for years now and must thank you profoundly-dziekuje
bardzo-for your work, your talents, your family....all you do with this channel. I am 100 % Polish and miss all my departed Polish family so deeply. Your recipes, talks, observations and travels help me to keep my beloved family alive in language, culture, food- everything.
I cry and laugh tears of joy from you and your husband's great humor as it keeps my memories strong. Keep cooking and travelling and being wonderful! May God Bless You!
Carolina from Chicago!🟥⬜😊💗👋👍 Thank you for serving our country!
Your happiness and energy are contagious, you guys are amazing!
I want to back to Poland. Beautiful country, people and food!
Y'all are delightful, thanks for showing us what we're missing and helping us find ways to bring our Polish roots into our homes. Y'all rock.
Won't be able to look at fried eggs again, without laughing! Fantastic video, Poland is beautiful, thank you for the laug h s, and great tour!
Thank you for “WISH I WAS THERE” mini vacation. Poland is beautiful!
God Bless you From Port Washington Wisconsin
My Son Mark should go to Poland.
I really like watching your videos, you are a great . Maybe your next book? "How to be in a happy relationship". I hope I will meet you somewhere in Szczecin streets in September😉
I am sooo glad I found your channel. Both in the kitchen and on the road. You two always make me laugh. Anna's right, because we Poles HATE to throw away food, to repurpose one thing to make something new(pazcki and ice cream sandwich) that's a polish thing if there ever was. And brilliant!! Make mine raspberry filled pazcki and dark chocolat ic cream please. Yummm. Mike
You guys are the best x1000000 Thank you for taking the time to show off Polska specially when you include the voice over and all giving the history and explaining facts. I'm Polish but never seen Polska as it is now. wow. You made me crave Poland, living in Toronto when I vacation I look at cost, here's a breakdown: flight to Poland on LOT $1700 an all inclusive in Venezuela, Barbados or Tobago $1200 Guess who wins. Any who wow the Baltic area has transformed. When I was a kid we would go up there, but that was to a sanatorium owned by STAR where my parents worked, STAR is no more it got taken my MANN, but my town Starachowice remains on the map. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST, AND DAMN YOU MAKE IT FUN TO WATCH AND EXPLORE WITH YOU
Still trembling with excitement, since I saw the pączki with ice cream filling. 💓
Always love spending time with you guys!! Loved the video!
Pazcki ice cream is what I want to try. Loved how you shared your drink on the boat, funny. Wonderful to watch.
Great video 💕
I miss Poland so much.
I think that’s great that you were able to move to Poland after your husband retired. Maybe I could talk mine into doing the same 😊
I miss Poland so much too.❤🇵🇱
I can't wait to return to Poland and visit some new cities! It's been too long since 1989 when I was in Warsaw,Krakow,Bielsko- Biala,Krosno,Olsztyn,Szczecin,Bialaystok,Gdansk,Zakopani, and Ciesczn.
Hi Ada, please do come back and visit. You won't believe the change since you visited last in 1989. Thank you so much for watching!
Once in the town I'd ordered a beer in the restaurant and waitress asked me: 'what beer'? In the communist era it was hard to get a beer at all, meantime in this pub I had a choice which beer I want. Who did not survive it, will not understand ;)
We passed the boats on the harbour, and now i feel bad we didnt take a boat ride whilst in Szczecin! It looks amazing!
My mouth is watering. I love your travels!
Gosh, I think you two are great. What a fun trip with you today. Paczki, ice cream, then give it a minute in the waffle iron. Oh, yeah! Now how soon can I get a paczki?
Y'all stay safe
Looks like a fun trip! Pazcki ice cream sandwich? Yummy 😋
You remind me of my mother, you are beautiful. Thanks for the pickle tips!
That was AWESOME!!!!❤️
I have been watching your videos for a few weeks and this one was very interesting. Before Covid my wife and I and her 80+ year old had booked a trip to Poland. My wife's grandparents were all of Polish decent. We were looking forward to the trip and then Covid hit. My brother-in-law is probably not going to go with us in the future. Your videos have caught me and I am enjoying everything about Poland.
Mark I thank you for your service and am happy that you will enjoy retirement with your wife and daughter in Poland.
I will get back to watching!
I enjoy all your travel videos, but today’s was even more fun to watch.
Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed watching . Have a great day.
Loved this video ! We giggled from beginning to the end . This is definitely a part of Polska that we must visit and do those
5 🌟things ( had lody in Polska many times....they make the best) My husband is also a pouter when it comes to not getting his food as he expected, so he really felt your pain Mark. Fried egg hooteses should be covered at all times 😂
And yes, summer time is meant for ferry boating vs train riding. Looking forward to the next one and still giggling.😂😂
Thanks from CT, USA ❤️🇵🇱💙🇺🇸
Absolutely fabulous edition of Kitchen’s Closed! Two questions: When does the kitchen reopen? How does hubby have such great pronunciation of a ‘not his first’ language? Can’t wait to receive my cookbook!!
He’s a smart cookie! 🥰
@@PolishYourKitchen Then he had a VERY good teacher! But you didn’t answer my other question. When does your kitchen reopen? You are continuing your cooking videos, aren’t you??
That's what I'm wondering. I've been checking for a new YT video for a long time it seems but there aren't any. 😥
@@barbaragiesbrecht6004 Apparently they’re filming at some festival and will be updating their website with where they’ve been what they’ve been up recently.
Paczki donuts with lody inside! It's like a baked Alaska dessert. Yum!❤
You guys ate hilarious.
Love your video's. Unfortunately here our previous generations over fished the blue Pike out of Lake Erie but we still have Yellow Perch and Walleye which are prized by almost everyone. Perch is my favorite!
I really enjoyed this video. Especially the boat tour looks great. We love travelling to Poland especially to the south near Jelenia Gora. We have been there already 4 times. And not ! because of costs reason, but because it is so beautiful there.
Pike-Perch is known as Zander in the UK.
I've not tried it but it's supposed to be very nice!
Brawo ! Fantastycznie !!! Amazing!!!
"Lody na Starowiślnej" in Krakow has been making the most amazing natural ice-cream for many years. A must try when in Krakow, which is almost as far away from the sea as you can get!
its called a"Zander" pike-perch
My favorite video so far!
So in the video Marks hair got shorter and Anna’s got much longer. Looks pretty. My interpretation of the name of the city from my knowledge of Polish is Mouth of the Pig. Looks great there. So you took the boat home how did you get to the port , drove, biked? I loved the lody in Germany and in Poland. So much better than ice cream here in the states. Tks for taking us along.
Hi wnygrl585, thank you for commenting. We took the boat over too, but it was early and everyone in our group were just enjoying the ride and visiting. We figured we would film the trip home. Thanks for watching!
I love you both.
I bought both of your cook books from Amazon . I love your program. Did you ever make Czarnina or Duck blood soup. I miss going mushroom picking. Nearest thing are shitaki.
I love you both. You have TURBOT we call them Lawyers in Green Bay or Milwaukee.
🥰
Hi Richard, thank you so much for your support. Mark and I truly appreciate it! I have made Czarnina in the past, but it's not a big hit in our house, I seem to be the only one that likes it. Cheers!
Wonderful!
Great episode thanks
You can only have one favorite…then list ALL the favorites!
They’re ALL my favorite 🙃😄
Great video -- love your Travel Friday's!!
Absolutely beautiful and loved this person touch vlog!! Keep them coming please
Thank you so much!
Semper Fi brother
Amazing video!
❤️ you both.
On Lake Erie , A Pike-Perch is a Walleye .
Old terminology was Walleyed Pike
But yes walleye we’re from the perch family definitely not pike family
Perch
Walleye
Sauger
Sanger
Pike family was northern pike
Pickerel
Muskie
Awesome video ❤️
Sherbet!
Do you know if " wodoloty " will be back ? This was my favorite way to go to Świnoujście
They were amazing! I once took a “wodolot” to Sweden, 4 hours (instead of 7-9)!! Sadly those days are done, not sure why. The one from Szczecin to Świnoujście is also long gone.
Here in Stevens Point, WI we have an ice cream stand called Belt's. Simply delicious treats. It will be opening here on March 3rd...And there will be lines around the building. Must be that Polish hankerin for spring ice cream. (Point will be lucky to hit 30 F that day btw)
I know, my husband is from Point, we visit every year 😊
First one here 💪
You win!!!
Todays video was awesome, I brought back sweet memories spending time with my babcia and my dziadek. 😍
Have you tried stuffing meat from the dumplings into the donuts I had them after church they taste great
Meat into sweet donut dough? Haven’t tried that, but we do make a fried pastry with meat filling, called “pasztecik”.
You hit a stonewall, did u not!!
😁💝
Sherbert! (Autocorrect didn’t want the 2nd R. But that’s how we said it in NJ.)
Hey what happened to you guys? Miss your kitchens closed episodes
Hi Mike, we miss it too. We will hopefully put out an update soon, we've had a bunch of stuff going on that has kinda put a dent in our abilities to put out videos. But fear not, we will be back soon! Thanks for watching!
I hate to rain on your parade, but I can only see the prevalence of what I call Euro ice cream which is a bland, tasteless cold cream that has a lot of sugar but very little if any flavour. I first visited Poland 10 years ago and was blown away by the wonderful traditional ice creams and sorbets made with locally grown fruits. They had so much flavour I couldn't stop eating them. Comparing those with what is offered as ice cream now is like day and night. I cannot bring myself to eat this Euro sweet sickly ice cream. If this is progress you can keep it.
On the other hand, I live the variety of fish in the seaside restaurants and proper sandy beaches ⛱ 👌 😄
You must’ve not had good luck with it. I’m sure there are plenty of 💩 ice-cream here in Poland but the good ones are absolutely amazing. I think the key is to find a small, non-chain places who make their own. Happy looking 😉
such a good looking guy when you're clean shaven
😂
I gotta eat breakfast.
I was watching this and heard what you said Mark about your problem with the word "Cheap", but I have a problem with that simply because of the fact that I use the word "CHEAPER" when I am trying to explain that certain things DO cost less; in some cases a LOT less than in the US. My husband Mark and I are in the middle of making arrangements to be able to move to Poland, to Lublin, within this year to a year and a half, and one of the reasons is so that I can go back to college to get my MA in Theology. Now because of my newly obtained Citizenship I will not be paying tuition there, but even if I were attending as a foreign national, I would still only be paying about $3,000/year aproximately, whereas if I were to try and attend even an online university here like Catholic Distance University; I would be paying between $20,000 to $30,000/year just for the tuition. So yes, in this case, the word "cheaper" does come into play which just means it is less expensive.
More like WALLEYE not pikeperch. ;) Pozdrawiam!
The Wisconsin kid doesn’t like fish?
I know right. It’s my shame for sure 😂
OK 'hootisits' 😆
CHEESHEAD
Ezackly
What's a hooteses?
sherbet
How much is the average rent there a month?
I think it’s sherbet. Only one “r.”
How did you know she was german, i wonder?
U have a rerre ible business model
