    0:00 Intro
0:05 Ford Focus. Where the sub-frame mounts to the body, it's rusted out. What you see is the sub-frame rocking back and forth making it very dangerous to drive! The technician said the customer drove it very slowly home so they can figure out what to do since they just bought the car a month ago.
0:26 The customer left the plastic on the engine air filter when he installed it. The vehicle is a Ford F-150.
0:35 2013 Toyota Sienna. The shop resealed the oil pan correctly, fixed the threads for a bolt hole, and sent the customer on his way.
0:51 Customer had vent closed on the passenger side.
1:04 Very rusty wheel on a Chevy/GM truck. Very common to see, especially for the spare tires as they don't get used often and just rust away when stored underneath the bed of the truck.
The customer is lucky they didn't crash on the way to the shop.
1:15 Very worn tires on a Ford Super-Duty. Look's like the truck will need an alignment (and probably some front-end work as well).
1:25 The technician said the customer didn't seem to be intoxicated when they came in but he was just surprised to see these empty bottles in this truck. He told his boss and he said his boss talked to the customer (didn't mention anything else).
1:33 No extra info. This is the coolant the car requires - www.europaparts.com/rowe-high...
1:44 The technician found this bell underneath the customer's car during an inspection.
1:51 The mechanic thought this was really weird when we opened the glove box.
1:59 The technician said the cylinder wall was pretty gouged and the engine is now getting rebuilt. Didn't mention the make/model of the vehicle. The technician is also looking down the spark plug hole and that's where he saw the nut.
    2:10 No extra info.
2:20 The technician said: "In my opinion, it seems like it’s a defect. The truck has one Upstate NY winter but has nothing similar anywhere on the truck. If you rub your finger on it the rust will actually flake off."
2:30 2007 Subaru Legacy. The technician said it looks like the customer kept using only water in the coolant system which rusted the head gaskets like this.
2:43 No extra info. (I always change it up for the last clip).
    3:01 Outro. Thanks for watching!

Gonna try to get pics of my cousin's 4 day old brand new suv she waited 2m for the dealership to get in that got rear-ended but a co-worker that wasn't paying attention... have pics of her co-worker's car... it's totalled. Karma is a bitch for the co-worker... she admits that she & her mom drive drunk with her kids in the car. Shame what happened to my cousin's suv. My daughter who works with them both saw the accident, didn't realize it was our cousin that got hit; thought it was hilarious that the co-worker totalled her car though.

Bit more info on the 70K mile oil filter: The guy brought it in and said "I didn't realize I was supposed to change the oil", he bought the truck new and went 70,000 miles towing his other stuff with it, how the motor made it that long I have no idea. I told my boss the moment I heard the mileage that the motor was gonna be toast very soon after the oil change, but I got the go-ahead to do it. The truck made it another 1500 miles or so before a connecting rod decided to leave the engine while he was driving it down the highway. Somehow he convinced the dealership to warranty the motor despite the lack of maintenance.

That last clip reminds me of when I worked in a factory that makes transmission friction discs, they oil the discs prior to shipping with whatever kind of ATF they're going to be exposed to once installed in a transmission. One of the oilers that used to soak the discs popped a line, and I couldn't reach the emergency shutoff for the machine where the line was, I tried to kink the line by folding it in half and uh... Yeah that was stupid, the old rubber line burst and sprayed me from my ankles to my chin with Ford full synth ATF... I went home early that day...

I know where I live if a frame( like the first clip) only had one of it's mounts rotted out it would pass still because the frame would be "held securely", so basically it didn't move when pulled on. We also pass tires if there is a visible tread pattern, no minimum thickness, just a visible pattern.

When my Mercedes was due for inspection, they put it on the lift, checked the steering for excessive play, checked the wheel bearings for the same, checked the tires for bold spots and tire wear, completely tore out the brakes checking the rotors and pad thickness. Checked for any leaks from brake lines, fuel lines and coolant. Checked the frame for any rust .If the car would fail any of those checks, they had to be corrected or you could not register it at all.

I live in NY and yearly inspections are a joke. Many mechanics only plug the OBD2 in for the codes without checking the rest of the car, if the car looks well kept. Others, if you throw them an extra $20, will look the other way and pass it as long as it doesn't have codes. Back in the Dyno days, some shops would keep a car on it and use that to pass other cars. Thankfully, the guy I go to actually checks the car. He's alerted me to small issues I could fix on my own before they became expensive problems.

It’s amazing what you’ll find just getting a good look underneath. $100 might save you $1000s not to mention if it’s something simple like brakes you can negotiate on the price. I even take my vehicle in for the inspection a 1000 miles are so before the factory warranty is up. The last time they found a small oil leak that ended up being $1400 to fix.
