Heard your questions - God dont need the moeny and wont use it. Its our ancient practice to donate not just money but eatbles and other items as well, the monks and rishi/saints used to just practice rituals and used to do research and educate people, remeber ashrams were our first and only schools. They also used to help poor and build ashrams as intituions for educations and life. We have few even today in modern avatar. All this donation was given to fund all of that, since a Rishi/Saint has minimilistic needs, most of the money use to come back to the people/society. Now a days, they build a reserve and keep few channels flowing to different instituions and social causes.

    India in 1835
"I have travelled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is thief such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such caliber, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage and therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation".

Giving money is not a ritual ma'am when we give money in the donation boxes the temple trust utilses it in feeding poor people and use it in the time of natural calamities, donating money is simply based on the idea of you get what you give, if you donate any amount of money it's given or donated for feeding the or helping the needy and lastly it totally depends on belief you can donate any amount you want .

Hey indi... video missed 1 important fact... actually shri padmanabh temple has 7 hidden rooms... 6 rooms were opened under the guidance of supreme court of india and approximately gold of worth 1 trillion $ was found. The 7th room/door is still close because there is giant snake statue on the door which looks like a lock. Saints warned the government not to open it due to religious reasons and it is still closed. It is expected that yhe 7th room is having even more gold than those 6 rooms combined. If it is true then no one guess its wealth, may be 2 trillion $, 10 trillion $ or any number. 7th room wealth can't be seen as just imagination because in ancient india, the kings used some religious symbols outside their treasures and they spread rumors about it so that they can protect it... the gaint rock snake before the 7th room looks like the same example... love from india 🇮🇳🇺🇸

We are strong despite so much diversity, because we are united against common causes.

Hi , Temples in India are not only social institutions but also economical and political for thousands of years . In ancient time , every village has one main temple called GRAM DAIVAT ( gram means village and daivat means god), this temple provides economic ,social and political support to the entire village ,so even today some temples are centre of all activities in some villages . And in ancient south india under chola ,pandya etc kings encouraged these village temples to be democratic institution at grassroot level. This is an amazing fact that Indian people have known democracy before british came to India . Over the years after freedom in 1947 ,these temples do not perform political activities . But nonetheless temples are still playing it's role in providing economic support to our country .

Donations/offerings to god is a small thing in Hinduism.
As you came to know each temple got millions of donations they are used to ,
    1. Food like lunch & dinner & 'Prasad' [offerings to god] for piligrames.
    2. Staff and security and priests salaries.
    3. Maintained and buy things used for prayers for gods.
    4. Maintain other small temples around.
    5. Some temples have & maintains hospitals, medical collages, and non-religious educational institutes {as per Indian constitution only HINDU religious educational institutes are not allowed its like oppression on Hindus, by article 30}.
    6. Maintains State governments financially by paying TAX by these temples which in-turn all other religion people get benefited. BTW only Hindu temples pay tax other religions won't another oppression on Hindus.
    7. Donates/help people in natural calamities like corona etc..
There are many more good things done by these temples which I will tell you some other time.

It was back then when temples did well.. now, these temples did not do anything to the level of donations they get! it all goes into someone's pocket! instead of donating to temples, we could directly do good to people.. for the estimation of stuff they have lying around the good they do is 1%.. if everyone instead of donating to temple if it was directly given to people in need to make the change it will be faster... temples were good back then now considering the wealth of a temple what are they doing? A temple donating 50CRORE is nothing because they make 500-600 Crore every year in donations.. what is the use of that money when it's just sitting there! god did not ask money we are foolishly giving money in the name of god! if everyone started donating directly the benefits to people in need like instead of donating to temple 50k try finding someone who is in need of medicle expenses and directly pay their bills! that would literally make more diff than donating to nothing :) my honest opinion!

    • @BalaVignesh
      @BalaVignesh Před 4 lety

@Rohit Thakur but also consider who holds static wealth more? temple or other religions? its personal choice but that personal choice is making the money to sit still! for all the crores we donated where was it spent now did they spend to help any businesses? did they spend in funding RnD? my only point is they are not helping as much as they are receiving! tax is something! its basic! paying tax is not being generous paying tax is a part and parcel of life! everyone and every institution should pay taxes! considering the amount going and amount going out for spending in good terms is very less ratio is the only point I made! its not about religion its about reality of how the funds are used for! When YES bank almost collapsed tirupathi took out all their wealth out of it! in matter of days but when it comes to corona where was the wealth to help people as much as they received? the point I'm saying is Temples are accumulating wealth and not giving out at equal fashion to balance it out :) check all the assets and the assets actually inturn makes more money for them which is going into pockets of people rather to help! I'm speaking with data and you are speaking religious terms both are different!

This wealth is kept as a reserve in case the Country goes into a crisis that cannot be resolved by the Government of the day. Government of India is doing a fine job in handling the Wuhan Coronavirus crisis. So temple money is not required. Yet the temples have already donated large amounts to PM Cares fund. The arch entrance have large snake sculptures n the sound combination have to be played in front of that to oped the stone vault. All the attempt to break the vault we're unsuccessful even they tried to blast the vault open .. I could say this because I belong to the Travancore province..

Each temple that was listed in the video has a trust that has board of appointed members. Under the umbrella of these temples are various branches of charity. For Example, the Tirumala temple trust (TTD) runs a 24/7 free food mess where hot meals are served through out day and any one can walk in and have a high quality meal that gets prepared in world class kitchens. It also provides free food to devotees waiting in lines for offering prayers to the Lord. TTD also runs a university, Drinking water project, Power project, Wild life protection and sanctuary, to name a few from a plenty of other humanitarian drives. The donations from the devotees are also used in running the temple, and providing livelihood for the families of the employees of the temple that includes priests and people working in various branches of temple administration and maintenance. Similar things are done by other temple trusts as well.

    Hi Indi,
There are two main School of thoughts in Hinduism which makes Hinduism or the Indian Spirituality more Diverse. Out of which one is the 1 god/Entity/Energy concepts where you don't need to donate any thing to the supreme as you are a part of manifestation of the same as everything around you. Thats why the lot of Sadhu's and other religious people with enhanced mental strength does not even pray but just meditate and try to discover themselves. And in Indian Spirituality, discovering themselves is always the best way of worshiping the supreme. You cannot find any ancient temple in the form of a Prayer Hall as Praying was not primary while visiting the Temple.Even in All the Sayings (Importance of Mother, Father, Teacher and GOD), or scripts (Eg. In Gita, out of main three sections, Bhakthi Yoga (Section of Worship) comes after the Karma Yoga (Section of Actions), and Njana Yoga (Section of Knowledge)) Worship, prayers and gods are always got last Importance.
Since it was not easy to teach and make understand this concept for normal People, the later school of thought came into surface where it is said there are 33M gods and you need to worship certain form of GOD to achieve something, kind of teaching started. The more funny thing in this case is they numbered 33M of gods where Indias population was around 33M itself. Now basically we are not becoming gods and the 33M stayed at that point. And also if you do a minimal research on each of the rituals performed in the Temples or even at homes, you will find out that there is no rituals presents in Indian Spirituality which does not give a Social or Environmental benefit to the surroundings, and each of them can be backed up with a proper scientific basis.
Coming to the Point, as per the second Second School of Thought, to provide a feeling of give some thing to get something kind, it was taught to do any kind of donations at the time of visiting a Temple. And it does not limit to money or gold. You still can donate flowers from your garden at home, do some help in the temple works, etc. Anything can be a donation and get "Blessings"from the deity.

it is estimated that the average amount of money TTD(Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam) gets through offerings by the devotees is about Rs. 2.35 crores($380,000) per day. When the income from other sources is considered as well, then it is about Rs. 6.34 crores($1.036 mn) per day. A few part of it it used for the maintenance of temple, but most of it is used for the people again there are many hospitals, a university,...etc built by the temple for the people in return. All this info is legit bcz I got the info from the TTD chairman who is a family friend of ours.
Also millions of people are fed for free everyday.

You should visit Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It's actually mysterious. No one knows exactly how much of ancient treasures are inside the all the 7 vaults inside. What's most intriguing is, Supreme court of India directed those vaults be opened and only 6 have been opened. The B vault is yet to be opened and no one knows how to open it. The treasure inside all these vaults are said to be priceless.
But, baring all those treasures, I always get emotional just by getting a glimpse of the Lord Padmanabhaswamy (Vishnu). Don't know why? It's actually very peaceful.
