    Hi Dustin, I was wondering what material the floor is made out of in the Cairo scene where you fight all the acrobats. I would imagine it's some sort of durable foam, but I'd love to know for sure. Thanks!

    When they first bring you on as an Indy trainee, do they have you practice with shorter falls, before going to the 40ft drop? Or do they just basically strap you in, and tell you to jump?

    • @wlenser
      @wlenser  Před 5 lety +4

      ...I have put this question out to a friend of mine who also played Indy before I did. He got to do the actual "rope drop" and may have some better insight as to how they train for that. My experience was with the rappel. I do recall some basic training on the ground, like how to properly set up your harness, and how to hook in with your figure 8 (descender device), etc. This is where it gets a little foggy for me, we may have hooked on to a rope at a much lower height just to get a feel for hooking up to the rope and what it felt like to sit in your harness with all your weight. I had rappelling experience prior to doing Indy but Im sure the basics of Rappelling was gone over by our trainer. I do remember them pulling one of the big fall pads under us when we actually did go off the 40ft platform. We went slow and easy at first then picked up the speed later on. How fast or slow you came down was up to you. The intended "rope drop" was actually a mechanically assisted breaking system and was more of a freefall effect. I'll let you know if my friend gets back to me.

      Melanie, the hats actually have a skin tone elastic strap sewn on to them that we pull under our chin. Glad you like the videos!

    When you fall down the lava thing what’s under any pads for safety or no so what is it ?

    • @wlenser
      @wlenser  Před 4 lety +1

      Yup, there is padding on the bottom. When you hit the bottom you land on your feet then go to your knees and put the torch out with a towel you fold over it. If I were to stand up in the pit my head would actually stick out, so we're not actually climbing that vine very far.

    I have a question do the big ball when you guys push back into place you guys make it so easy to do it with only 2 people I’m guessing

    • @wlenser
      @wlenser  Před 4 lety +2

      The ball is heavy, its about 480 pounds of inflated rubber. You definitely dont want to get hit by it a 14 mph. But rolling it back up isn't that hard. It does just roll up and two people can do it. I wouldnt want to do it all day though. Definitely dont let it start rolling back down, if it gains momentum your'e in trouble...lol.

    • @LuisGonzalez-wb8ju
      @LuisGonzalez-wb8ju Před 4 lety

      Oh ok another question is that can you get hurt very bad by the rubber ball

      @@wlenser yep. We actually worked at lot together for a talent agency doing a lot of mall show. Rossie would always do a dance/aerobics/tumbling routine. Everyone always got along with him. He was always fun and friendly. I used to give him shit for being in the stunt show for so long … I would tell him there going to have to wheel him in on a wheelchair 🦼 soon! 😂
