    What should I pack when I drove to Halifax. Emergency, clothing, and where do you recommend for a safe road trip

    • @CorneliaAudrey
      @CorneliaAudrey  Před 3 lety +1

      I'd make sure to have layers, take some snacks and water along for the stretches where you won't see any stores, keep your gas tank at a good level, you don't want to run out of gas! Between Quebec and Nova Scotia there are less stops available!

      @@CorneliaAudrey thank you.
      Do you know the best places to sleep while on the road (no hotel or motel) and do you know the best places to see while driving. Maybe like site seeing ?

    • @CorneliaAudrey
      @CorneliaAudrey  Před 3 lety +1

      @@pattys2504 I slept in Quebec City at a hotel, and then an AirBnB in New Brunswick just outside of Fredericton for a night! I think you could find some new options on AirBnB. On my way home I camped in New Brunswick for a night at Kouchibuguac National Park and then stayed in an AirBnB in Saint Johns and then stopped in Montreal. If you have time to sight see in Montreal or Old Quebec City, I do recommend!

    Thanks for your video. Considering this trip, but heard that cannot stay overnight in New Brunswick, and need to self-isolation 14 days in Nova Scotia if I am from Toronto. Anyone has any ideas or suggestions to share?

    It was Amazing to see your video Cornelia. :)
    Enjoyed it till the last part.
    But I have a really quick question. As you travelled during Quarantine, Were there any checkpoints between the entry of different provinces like they screen you before entering provinces?The reason I'm asking is that I'm also Moving to Nova Scotia so I'm really excited about it. Do let me know!
    Thank you :)

    • @CorneliaAudrey
      @CorneliaAudrey  Před 4 lety +1

      Hey! So I traveled early May, not too sure what it’s like now but I did have 3 separate check points. I had a letter stating I was moving to be with family for the summer and I confirmed that I would be isolating. New Brunswick was the only tricky border! If you have proof you’re moving, I think you’ll be ok. Where in NS are you moving!?

    HI there, I have a little hatchback Mazda 3. I plan to to take about 10 days off in June and drive to Cabot trail Halifax and back in about 8-9 days. Possible? Also where were you camping? did you book camping spots way in advance?

      There was in May, though now I believe the maritimes has opened its borders to other east coast provinces. If you're coming from Ontario or Quebec, definitely check before you go. They are suggesting essential travel only!

    Hey nice video. I have a long vacation week coming up & was thinking of a long road trip to east from Toronto. Thinking of covering Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island in a 10 day round trip. Are all the borders provincial borders open without restrictions? Also are 10 days enough for a full round trip?

    • @CorneliaAudrey
      @CorneliaAudrey  Před 4 lety

      That sounds like a beautiful trip. Unfortunately you do need to isolate when you get to the east coast, they have not lifted those restrictions yet! Once we can travel again, yes I do think 10 days would be enough. Definitely plan on more time for Nova Scotia! It's a big province with lots to see! :)
