    Such an interesting premise of the channel. I came for the inflatable hot tub review, subscribed to cast my vote…

    I agree about the price, only caveat if you have expensive electric (we pay 32 cents a kwh!) because you really need to keep the heat turned up this tub probably adds an extra 80 dollars a month to my electric bill. With a better insulated but and a 220v or gas fired heater you can keep the temperature lower until you want to use it and heat it up quickly. With that said I've kept mine running all winter, even down into the single digits never had a problem. Just gotta make sure the power doesn't go out if you're away, that could freeze and break the filter system. I call mine a training hot tub for when I'm going to get a real one but with them being so inexpensive and simple I'm still in training 7 years into this endeavor.

    Thanks for this video. I have been on the fence. I service swimming pools and have a couple of hot tubs on my route. I have always been curious about these inflatable tubs. Answered all of my questions. I constantly have to repair dumb things on the regular hot tubs, (UV lights, leaks, and purging the lines during drains, cleans.) I’m going to try one of these inflatable tubs. Looks easy peasy to set up.

    Do you have to take additional steps to protect the engine in the snow and/or ice? Just wondering how that puts up with the weather if not under a covered patio or the like. Thanks!

    2 questions! 1. What was your electricity bill like when running this 24/7 in the winter? 2. I’ve heard you can’t use the bubbles in the winter since it sucks in cold air from the outside. Let me know! Thanks!

      Yeah, it has definitely gone up. Maybe $20-$30 a month. I never use the bubbles for that reason, plus, it is loud and doesn't really do anything. They aren't jets.

      Really depends on how cold it is and how much you pay for electric. For us here we pay unusually high electric, 32 cents a kilowatt hour and that equates to about 80 dollars a month during the colder months here in NJ on our electric bill. I keep mine at 106 degrees all the time (and yes, I know it only goes to 104 but I put two resistors inline on the sensors to "fool it" into thinking it's cooler than it is). 104 just wasn't quite enough.

    Can you turn the heat off and use it in the summer?

    • @GannonForPresident
      @GannonForPresident  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes you can! I did that, just make sure you keep the filter/water circulating.

      @@GannonForPresident got mine, I have been using it as a cold tub for the summer lol is it hard on them to leave the filter on all the time?
