I appreciate you reviewing the reissue, you definitely didn’t need to but it’s super helpful for people wondering about the issues!
I got mine about a week ago from Amazon. The first one that arrived had the big sticker. Had them ship a replacement, now I have the small sticker. And it's flawless.
Did you tell them you wanted to return it for a reissue? What could I say if I did the same? Thanks
@@christopherkinsella3912 Yeah when I asked for a replacement I said the reason was because the first one had a big sticker and that's the one with defects. I doubt they paid attention to that and I probably just got lucky that a small sticker was chosen the 2nd time. But I am seeing more people get the reissue from Amazon on Reddit.
Mine just came in from Amazon with the small sticker but it does feel a bit loose and the belt for the sword seems to be faulty

@@ltinfinite4980 I used Tamiya glue for gundams, letting it cure overnight!
Other than that I have 0 issues like the arms. Idk if it’s me since I don’t normally open my figures but the joins do feel softer than my UI goku
I pre-ordered from Amazon in February (with a June delivery date) and received the old version in March. Not sure if my warehouse just had some in hand, but that is my experience.

I did not expect an update on the reissue thanks for doing that! It’s so aesthetically pleasing but the floppy legs and poping arm for me made it an unpleasant mess to pose. This rerelease has me tempted as hell to grab one

I got 2 old ones from Amazon. Which was definitely a gamble. I bought one and returned it then asked for a replacement and got another old one. The 2nd one had slightly better qc so i kept it. I do want the one with the non holagram sticker
There shouldnt be a reissue.
Bandai should have done a product recall and replace with the revised product.
Why should consumers pay 2 times for the company's mistake?

Not even preordering was a sure way to get the new one. From a forum I frequent, somebody had it preordered for June back when there wasn't any stock available on Amazon but they sent it this month instead and it was the old one. Amazon just doesn't separate their old from their new stock.
Thats so messed up. Big companies should know or at least be made privy that this is a new SKU altogether to prevent this shit from happening.

Ran into that amazon issue. I preordered and I received an old one, had them send another and it was another old one. I ended up ordering from Crunchroll of all places and it was the reissue.

@@kidrobot. Nothing wrong with them, but I just don't think of them as a place to buy premium bandai figures and that they were able to get the the correct one, while the Tamashii store on Amazon did not twice in a row. So happy I stumbled on their site.
lol Buying Trunks is like lottery then. You never know for sure you'll get sent the new or old one.

I preordered the reissue from a website because I knew Amazon would just send out the old one haha. It was worth going without the figure for the several months to not have the qc issues

I've been wanting to pick this one up but I have the original trunks that came out over 5 years ago.
my trunks didn’t have any of the original issues besides the floppy legs. pretty strange.
Im glad I collect the figurise instead of the figuarts. 😂

Another thing which you’ll notice when you have both in hand, is the colors on this one are slightly different. The first release has a more pale color in the jacket. The blue is much better on the reissue.
Is this reissue heavier compared to the 1st release?
I got the original for my birthday last year I was si disappointed and just got the reissue and went from 0 to 100 it now one of my favorites

My reissue had good hips, but it still had wobbly ankles, and a new problem: floppy mid-torso joint. How is the mid-torso joint on your reissue?

Much better release. I sold the first release piece of crap back when it came out. Now i can finally enjoy this figure and i love it. Got him on amazon. Got a few and they were all the reissue. Sword strap still sucks tho. I ended up gluing it
Thank god they made a reissue, sad that I bought 2 Trunks figs when they came out (they both broke)
What's the best way to tell you're ordering a reissue? I pre-ordered this due for June 2024 and the old one charged early, came in March, had to return it.

its definitely lame and they should have issued refunds at least in part for the previous. i would suggest buying the new version only if it really makes a big difference for you. im guessing for most people, the fixes dont really matter.
