my experience was that to be able to use the 60fps feature you have to yuse the "correct" sd card. If not then I was onlt able to use 30fps. SOny has the correct one but they want $90! I found the model number and got a sandisk for $7. Now was able to use the 60fps. It has a stabilizer built in but I use a tripod for far zoom.

same handycam! but how do you transfer those clips to your laptop clearly? pls notice me whenever i transfer it to my laptop, the quality, decreases

The design flaws with Sony CX405 are:1) there is no way to have the date and time displayed on your video. Date and Time are critical for documenting home movie moments. And 2) the memory cards create a separate file for each "shot". But (LOL) as a tech at Best Buy told me, "you can buy the software to splice all the separate files together". Truly one of the stupidest comments I've ever heard.
This camera is not worth the headache. Go old school and use tape.
