      Please be kind to like and comment.

    Really nice and very powerful, can't for the life of me understand why it doesn't support Bricks already though which has to be the second most popular builder out there. Guess I will have to wait a little longer before getting it! Great tutorial as always Paul.

    No lifetime (at reasonable price, not crazy unrealistic prices like 250-500$ for unlimited like most do) option = no buy (will use GPL version instead). Simple as that, same goes for every plugin/theme.

    • @WPTuts
      @WPTuts  Před 2 měsíci +1

      So, the only plugins you buy have a cheap Ltd?
      You don’t feel that developers creating useful products should have a sustainable business model?

    • @williamshevr
      @williamshevr Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@WPTuts Yep, exactly. Is that really surprising that people don't want to buy LTD at unrealistic prices (which is the case 90% of the time) and don't want to buy a product if it doesn't offer LTD options/rely on annual subscriptions like Adobe does? I thought it was very common and logical. Especially knowing that all plugins and themes are litterally free if one want, as they are all under GPL licensing and can be bought for very very cheap through some trustworthy GPL sites.
      So if devs persist at trying to sell their products at unreasonable LTD prices, like it's the case most of the time, they can only blame themselves for people relying on that whereas we'd be willing to pay if prices weren't so unrealistic ;)
      As for example, I bought during last black friday the plugin "WP Vivid" with unlimited LTD... it cost me like 189$ that's what I call a reasonable LTD price and for what the plugin offers, so I bought it right away.
      But if "you" have a premium plugin and "you" try to sell it for 250$, 400$, 500$ (during BF... so even more expensive if you need it outside...) or even more for LTD unlimited, or worse, just like 100 websites and don't agree to sell it for cheaper than those crazy prices or worse, "you" don't offer and LTD license? Then "you " won't see my money, and I'll rely on GPL sites.
      If devs are not smart enough to find the right balance between what they offer and what they expect people to buy it (and 90% don't, I'm always shocked at their unrealistic price for their LTDs), all that perfectly knowing that their products are under GPL licensing and therefore "legally free" if I can say (you just pay for the support and to be sure of the origin of what you download roughly) then too bad for them.
      But to reassure you, 90% of the time I contact the devs and ask them for a better price before deciding if I'll have to rely on the "GPL version".
      For example I contacted 2 devs to purchase their unlimited LTD premium themes at a more reasonable price than their Black Friday price during black friday 2 years ago, explaining that it's "too expensive for me" and asking kindly if they can make me a better offer than their black friday deal as it would be a win win situation as they'll get my money (for a digital product, as a reminder) whereas even if they didn't accept to make me a better offer, I'd still use their product that i'll get roughly for free and unlimited through a trustworthy GPL vault site (you just pay a low fee to have access for one year of the plugins or themes updates).
      First devs didn't want to make me a better offer/therefore didn't want my money despite being the most expensive one by far, therefore they indirectly implied they'd rather have me using their product under GPL licensing than being paid for their product, so I used his premium theme from a GPL site.
      Second one was very kind and understanding and offered me a more reasonable price that fit more what an unlimited license should cost in my opinion for the product they were offering, so they got my money, and everyone was happy, win-win situation (and their BF price was already like 100$ cheaper than the other theme BEFORE their new offer... that says a lot about the unrealistic LTD prices of these other devs... yet, they made me a good offer)
      Other example, I bought the unlimited LTD for crocoblock because at their BF asking price, unlike most other plugin, I found that, the features offered for their "350$" asking price (during BF a while ago) and for unlimited use, as you get many plugins and a very complete suite was worth it. So I didn't bother to contact them for a better price (pretty sure they would have rather not have my money)
      As for this plugin you're reviewing, the dev doesn't offer LTDs and when he did for his other products, even during BF his prices was extremely unrealistic (like 300$ if i recall correctly). So yeah, GPL vault it is for his products (and we are many to proceed like that). Not gonna be tied to a annual or monthly subscription, not gonna happen. If one day he creates an unlimited LTD license for that product and his other one, at let's say 150$, i'd gladly give him my money :) If devs persist with their unrealistic prices, then they shouldn't be surprised that so many users, even professionals users, take advantage of the GPL licensing of their products.
      Elementor Pro, no other choice than using a GPL version as they don't offer anymore LTD options.
      Their marketing decision, problem, they won't see my money, no way I'll pay every year for a subscription for product "Adobe style".
      To me depending on the product, for 99% of the products, anything above 150$ or at max 200$ if a very very feature rich and "must have" plugin, with unlimited websites AND lifetime use/updates of course, is a big no no and push me to just use the "GPL" alternative for roughly free (too bad devs don't want my money and would rather sell for example 50 LTD at 400$ rather than 500 at 200$... devs are rarely good at marketing and finding the right strategy to get them the most money)
      Nowadays, there are a few trustworthy GPL sites (I do regular tests comparing my versions of products purchased through the devs against their uploaded version and never found any modification whatsoever on the dozens of tests I did the past 2 years, but one has to be careful with the GPL site he picks)
      Oh and sometimes I just buy use LTD account at a bargain price from people who don't need them anymore, that way, everybody is happy :)

    Paul, how is using so many shortcodes impacting the speed of a website?

  • @Atractiondj
    @Atractiondj Před 3 měsíci

    If the plugin had the ability to display variable product data, it would be great. I mean, there is a case when you need to display a variable product as a simple one and for this you need a dynamic tag for the picture, to display an attribute (for example color), to display the regular sale price and discounted price, as well as add to cart buttons....described I repeat the functionality of the plugin variable to single product, but we could use this for a query loop builder in bricks.
    I'm talking about this because I'm working on something similar right now, and I almost have the code ready, but if the plugin had a similar feature, then it would be more useful

    Isn't this possible to do without a plugin? Has the plugin already done a lot of the heavy lifting to get to where you only have to add the shortcode? Is there an advantage to using a plugin like this over doing it manually? It's all new to me... I really don't know...
