Hey Paul,
I know that you have one video explaining the Advanced Themer options, but I would love to see a video of your settings & features that you use from Advanced Themer.
Thanks a lot and keep working on what you're doing, you are really a great help to us.
Interesting idea - I may well look into doing something like that once I've settled on the (ever changing) feature set. But, tbh, I keep things pretty minimal.
Second this. I like the AT product but its overwhelming at times.
Thanks for the video Paul đ just added some new plugins to my "need to look into it" list
Thank you for this đ
You are a good teacher, i am glad i found you, i have been out of building websites for a while and iam going back and WordPress was always the best in terms customer/marketing users and great for developers
Thank you for the update Paul!
No worries
Thank you!đ keep up the great work!
Great to see
Total good video!
#BricksIsTheNewWay
Great video Paul, more or less we have the same stack. I am still on the edge of getting on the AT train. I do believe it will increase my development speed but I am trying to keep the number of plugins as small as possible. Thanks for sharing patchstack, will look into it.
I honestly couldn't imagine working in Bricks without AT installed - it's become essential for my workflow. :)
Hey thanks this great video and providing some insight on some tools am thinking of adding into my tech stack like Solid WP & ACF.
Here is my tech stack on my website
- Admin Site Enhancements
- Fluent Booking
- FluentCRM Pro
- Fluent Forms Pro
- SureCart (e-Commerce platfrom)
- Presto Player Pro
- Spectra Pro
- ZipWP
Hi Paul, ACF is also standard integrated in Advanced Themer. ;)
It is, but bear in mind that ACF recently changed their licensing and that impacts the use of it my 3rd party tools (like AT), so I prefer to disable ACF in AT and use my own Pro license and have full and future access to everything and not have to worry about any future changes. ;)
Hi Paul, do you use a good cookie GPDR plugin in your blueprint set-up?
I use Termageddon to handle the leagal aspects of the site. :)
Great stack - WP Grid builder is the only one I'd add in my stack as essential (for most sites). I'm curious, what do you use for filter/facet/search?
I use the plugin [Posts Table with Search & Sort] as a great free option.
I have (and will use where necessary) GridBuilder WP. It's a solid plugin, but for many use cases the soon to be released filtering coming to Bricks will replace that core functionality.
Great video as usual. Quick question. What tech stack would you build to get the same functions as Gohighlevel. I like their platform but I want to stay in the wordpress ecosystem. This way i dont have to worry about Gohighlevel getting bought out and my price going up.
I'm afraid I've never used or seen Gohighlevel - so, I don't really know the functionality it provides to be able to realistically advise you.
â@@WPTutsok thanks
Thanks Paul very helpful. I literally purchased fluent forms pro yesterday.
Email always trips me up. What email provider do you recommend to clients?
Currently, I'm looking into email providers to see what fts my needs. :)
@@WPTuts awesome. I'd be really interested to hear your conclusion.
Good job @paul, please can you make an exclusive video on bricks builder, please. An A to Z usage of the builder.
I have puchased the builder since last year, bbut can't use it. However, i am not good at coding. Please can you do this for us đ??
I'm a bit confused when it comes to Perfmatters. Can it replace completely your caching plugin and redis cache?
No. It's rather used to fine tune the plugins that are active on each page (and so, the files that are included on each page), as well as more general options to fine tune WordPress, CSS minification etc.
I find not being able to buy a lifetime license a little annoying, but the price is fair. If you've never used it, I'd recommend picking a copy for your website or your next client project (it costs something like $25/year for a single website these days, so not a huge commitment)
@@bluetheredpanda I wonder then why a caching plugin is not part of the essential stack.
@@klitos15 well, what you have to understand is, caching is only really necessary to reduce the execution time of the PHP or the SQL requests. In effect, itâs like creating static (HTML) versions of your pages.
But due to their static nature, you lose some capabilities, and there are some things you cannot cache, ever (ie. Cart page, pages with dynamic components depending on user conditions, or time of day, or stuff like that).
Server caching being so prevalent is primarily a thing in the WordPress world - in the rest of modern web development ecosystems, browser cache is more heavily focused on (as in, users not having to redownload CSS and JS files theyâve already downloaded).
In a way, you could consider server caching a band-aid, used to mitigate the slowness brought about by the way WordPress functions, heavy themes/plugins, and unoptimized assets. It doesnât fix the source of the issue.
On the other hand, if youâre on a fast server, use a lean stack such as Bricks, and properly optimize your assets before uploading, and then optimize the CSS and JS delivered on each page with Perfmatters, you donât really need it all that much (at least, not on all scenarios), because youâve cured the disease, so to speak, so you donât need to mitigate the symptoms (itâs a bit⊠out there, as an analogy, but I hope it makes all this more understandable).
These days, the major use I personally have for the Litespeed plugin is minification and delivering assets via CDNs. But I donât use the actual caching features for nearly half my projects.
So, to add to my previous reply, Perfmatters cannot replace a caching plugin entirely. But it can be used as part of an approach that somewhat negates the need for a caching plugin.
I've been circling back on this video and writing down possible additions. I've been a perfmatters fan for years so that's part of the stack. I see CSS Framework just released 'Violet' sections for Bricks. Are you exploring this an option as well?
Iâve been going back on forth on buying Violet. It looks great and especially love the look of the navigation header blocks.
@@WPTuts haha, we are on the same page. I've been going back and forth as well and was thinking it's almost worth it just for the headers.
thoughts on codestitch?
sir are you giving any update on bricks course?
I'm still in the early planning stages, so nothing concrete to share yet I'm afraid.
Wpvivid - rollback plugin copies do not always delete from server (and can add a lot of data to store). Otherwise great plugin
You re correct and it is annoying, but the additional peace of mind is far more valuable to me. :)
Missing âExclusive interview with Maximeeeee of Advanced Themerâ link
Maxime is always welcome on my livestreams. đ
Si far how is going with fluent for you ?
Have you stopped using Elementor completely now?
I don't agree with any of this. Especially the sign saying "On Air" when we know this isn't live.
Seriously??? đ
About the cheesy "On Air" sign - for sure. You don't have the skills to go live .
@madeinusa5395 oh, so the livestream yesterday or the 50 ish other live streams are all fake are they? đ
â@@WPTutsPaul, why are you replying to him
