To be fair, Niv-Mizzet was brutal in that last game. Obliged the opponent to sacrifice their flipped Dennick, which is more than Atraxa ever would have done.

This Niv\s so good, it doesn't even need to enter the battlefield to win games.
Grindy first game! Amazing you managed to win a mulligan to 5 with the opponent having a good hand.
I've been building around this card, it's so fun with all the new two color spells, I ended up liking the new dual color lands more than the tri lands since you can bin spells to find more things faster. I also dropped domain for more spells. This is awesome to see how you made this deck :)

I'm a big fan of shadow prophecy I wish it could easily slot into more decks, I would say it's almost better memory deluge in 5c stats

How does the order work out with molten collapse? If you jump-start it by discarding a land would you be able to choose both effects? If that were the case that's quite the synergy.
We already need to select two targets when we cast Molten Collapse, so I don't think the timing works out.
Im hoping for some historic brawl content soon but more lvd is always good

Less mono red (which seems to be a bad matchup) and also due to convoke edict is in a low so he would be obnoxious to be removed when they adapt thinking it is just normal domain and add removal for atraxa instead of niv

I feel like you could say that about most cards at the top of the curve, where the deck isn't designed to get to that card asap. The card becomes useful if matches the drag on.
@TonytheTono idk about that. I just think niv isn't a great curve topper. 5 mana is one more than sheoldred but does niv add enough "more" value? Like sheoldred has a weak lightning helix attached to it each turn cycle no mana necessary. 5 mana of each color is just clunky plus graveyard hate hurts
The new niv would have been a lot better if it also had hexproof from monocolored, still not good but it would have made a big difference

Niv S U P R E M E makes for a fun (pretty mid) brawl commander, you can cast big 2 color spells twice, like magma opus or casualties of war or even sphinx’s revelation

Possibly, but don’t forget Herd Migration and Celestus. Casting interaction early is also more important than Shadow Prophecy on curve.
