John and Nick had unbelievable visage symetry,and photogenic impact.They were such good lookers far better than filmstars.And that comes from a straight man.Many of us guys back then wished we looked like them no matter if we didn't admit that.And i think no other male-membered band in pop music had ever had at such good looking males like John,Nick and Simon all gathered here not to mention their songwritting talents and fab live stage presence.

I spent a fortune on magazines with them on the covers. I would read every single word regarding them. I bought their records, posters, buttons, t shirts, mirrors, scarves, literally anything that had their images or name on it, I bought it. I still have some of that stuff packed away. My dad used to tease me and tell me that I was single handedly making Duran Duran rich. Lol

I got rid of all my stuff when I got married but one of my best friends who I'm pretty sure was ACTUALLY their biggest fan has a museum in her house of not only her D2 stuff but nearly everything 80s. @inglesinamafiorentina I had this poster of John Taylor that I put cologne called Millionaire on and it definitely had lip marks! 🤣 Power Station was my first concert and I saw DD after they got back together in the 90s and again in 2011. I'm glad you finally got to see them in concert! I'd love to see them this tour but they are at our big arena and tickets are $$$$.

Funny to hear them talk about the album then and know how they feel now. "Union Of The Snake" was written to slightly mimic David Bowies "Let's Dance" with the bass line and vibe. "7 and the Ragged Tiger" was the title to represent all 5 of them and the 2 managers, and I believe Simon said the Tiger represented fame. Lastly... John says the single was the worst song on the album that was released, along with all the blood, sweat and tears. Apparently he and everyone but maybe Simon and Nick hated the Album songs, and it was mainly Nick who wrote a lot of the songs in a more electronic vibe, which most of the band didn't want to go in that direction.
