    Very easy to follow instructions, and very effective. I used it to tie the brake cable on bike together when it snapped & it's still holding strong. I haven't even bothered to get a new cable. Lol, thank you!

    Thanks for such a helpful video! I used it almost a year ago to tie the ends of an elastic cord that I attached to my phone case as a leash. I am now using it again to do the exact same thing, because the string wore out (not the knot! It stayed the whole time!) 😀

    Kind of a pretty knot too! I just got a new compass and wanted to tie the lanyard string together with something a bit more secure and "cool" than the overhand. We'll see how long it lasts!

    Todd K: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrick_bend shows that the Carrick Bend and the Double Coin Knot are just different names for the same knot. If as you say they are not the same, what then is the difference?

    This is not the easy way to tie a Carrick Bend. I can do it in less than10 seconds. It is ridiculously simple. The only knot to be named after a person. I give you credit for tying it the hard way.

    This is not a Carrick bend as you think because the ends are on the same side it is a wake knot

    I dunno what it's name is, But it isn't a correct carrick bend. The working ends should be on opposite sides of the knot.

    Ah, but it is .... when you make the loop in the beginning, make the working end on the opposite side, so that the top that you place to make the loop is the longer end.
