I like the colour, matches your blackstar. The ESP is incredibly similar to my HH custom tele - same pups, set neck - just has a different bridge and better tuners, but has the same versatility of tone. Mines supposed to be a high gain monster but I play blues and the tones are great - the fender I think has a thinner neck from your description, it's almost wizard like which I know puts people off but has the longer scale. Charvel did something really similar as well with JB and 59 pups.
The thing that makes this significantly different than the Fender is the scale length and frets. It makes for a totally different experience if I'm thinking of the same guitar ( indonesian made Fender HH with duncans stock and a neck through design ). I agree the tones will also get really gainy but sometimes those are exceptional at edge of breakup for blues as you mentioned. A lot of brands follow this formula because it's smart, you get to play a number of genres without having to lug several guitars with you
I have an LTD EC-401 (Les Paul style, Duncans), and it’s one of the best guitars I’ve played. Liked it so much I bought a pointy one, M-403HT, and hated it. Couldn’t believe the difference in feel and playability
That's wild to hear, but the 401's are sweet indeed. Some of those came stock with the Dimarzio 36th anniversarys too which put them in crazy value territory, I remember they were like 400 bucks used forever until the boom happened. They really do make some awesome guitars that's great you have one too
@@AudiomoMusic That’s why I bought it, had great pickups, just couldn’t get on with neck, fretboard, etc. Might have just gotten a bad one, it happens. Thanks for the response although now I feel like I need a 3rd LTD to break the tie🤞
I assume this is the Turquoise one, which looks very green to me. This guitar is thankfully available in other finishes and with a Floyd 1000 trem. but they are expensive here in the UK, A no trem one is £899 about $1179 with the Floyd trem in white pearl £929 about $1218, they are not cheap. Can't wait to hear how it sounds.🙂
I fancy it. Can't go wrong with ESP/LTD especially the MIJ ESP. Yes MII these days getting better at making/crafting guitars. I wish i could try USA ESP. Fun fact, Izzy Stardlin played this with a FR version in Sweet Child O' Mine VC.
@@AudiomoMusic I feel you. could not agree more. Nonetheless, when you get the great quality of MIJ= worth every penny. i think there's an affordable MIJ ESP/LTD (E-II). i lived in Japan back in the days so its easier to cherry pick MIJ guitar but i did not have the chance to get MIJ ESP.
I'm obsessed with japanese guitars and have been for as long as I've been playing, I just admire their commitment to holding their work to a high standard. That's amazing you lived in Japan, we were supposed to move there early 2020 and well.. it's not looking likely anytime soon still unfortunately.
I actually liked how not Tele this one was, I just couldn't do the headstock! The TE-1000 I mentioned has SS frets, 24 frets still, and fishmans! I like the idea of it and am definitely interested after how much I liked this guitar
Thanks, Jim - another guitar that matches your Blackstar. 😀
It just keeps working out that way, I don't think I could get away with ever selling the blackstar because of this channel alone 🤣
It seems perfect. It has the arch, excellent pickups, set neck, tap. It's Good to know ESP LTD is spending time to make sure the frets are good.
It is an outstanding guitar. Doesnt need anything at all, love to see a “finished” product this playable at a reasonable price
That's a classic pickup combination. That's what came stock in my 1996 Guild S-100. It's hard to believe that guitar is 26 years old now.
It's timeless for a reason, just think of the variety of guitars they come in like that Guild. They just work!
Needs all black hardware 😮
i'd agree, go all the way with it at that point it'd look sick

I've been wanting a black version for years now, awesome model. Im just too cheap to bite the bullet

I really miss my MIJ esp horizon, a shame they are impossible to get at a reasonable price these days, or I'd have done it by now.

Check out the LTD Ron Wood signature tele, it's a lot more traditional and sounds great.

Can't do the reverse headstocks like the Chapman's. I think the pointy headstock is a good middle ground.
I'd rather it a little bit rounded off but I get that people love it
hi, how much does this electric guitar weigh? is it heavy?
This was a hair under 8lbs, not bad
I play mine sitting down! But Im over 60 now! it sound & plays so well that Its all worth it
Looks like toothpaste F that, get the white or black with the Floyd. sorry, I'm very opinionated.
