im glad someone has finally addressed jacksons role in his dropping deep to create chances, i personally believe this is why he hasnt appeared to be a proper number 9 YET. With KDH it allows jackson to be more ST based positionally and im excited to see how he does this coming season.

I think this is great because we keep just throwing managers into the team and telling them to get top 4 with no idea about the club, but KDH gives maresca a step forward with his best player last season, giving him a sense of familiarity, and KDH can also help to teach the other players how to play under the new manager making everyone better. I think it's a great signing. We've needed a good non injured CAM for a while, we've had to force palmer and Ghalager into there all last season if you guys remember....

Palmer is naturally a CAM he plays best when he moves to that position after Gallagher goes to the bench
KDH is a big signing, stats back him last season, even if it was the championship, he passes the eye test, but he has that directness and drive we lack, some one who's going to drive to goal from midfield (other than palmer), and for the price I think its a steal, wanted him since we saw him in the prem the season before last

@@jettwavesongs I was really unimpressed with Jackson before the AfCON but his performances at the back end of the season totally turned me around. The way he was holding up the ball under pressure and then looking to turn the defender to attack was AMAZING. When Drogba did that he was looking to pick-up cheap free-kicks to keep possession and help the team (and that was great). But what Jackson is doing is even BETTER and I LOVE watching it. I know Jackson is not perfect but I can honestly say there is not another striker in World football that I would prefer to have over him right now. Hopefully you will get bitten by the Jackson bug too.

I've really wanted us to sign KDH for a couple of years so I'm really happy. He's one of those players who wins way more than 50% of 50-50s.
Chelsea board is really going to hurt me same way I was hurt when hazard left if they sell N.jackson, that dude is really dangerous the only thing he can't do is to finish the ball, but don't forget that the young striker has sometimes shows that he can also score good goals, all he needs is confident

When thinking about KDH coming in, I had only been considering running a 4-2-3-1, but the move makes a lot more sense if we run a 4-3-3, and your analysis of how he would work for Chelsea in that formation was spot on. Really good analysis, as usual.

Slightly aside from his tactical fit, KDH seems like a really well spoken and intellgent guy, really excited for him
I really believe KDH will be our next Palmer signing. Him, Barnes & JM10 were always their quality in the prem before they got relegated, and he kept that form in the Championship. He's a more creative version of Gallagher and a left footed midfielder is great for balance.
That line up could be class for us next season and brings in a lot of flexibility, of adding players like lavia, for caicedo or enzo, Gallagher or chukumeka for KDH, or maduake for Parma

Gallagher needs to go, but if by chance he doesn’t…there’s no way KDH subs on. He’s 100 percent a starter. Caicedo, KDH, Enzo will hopefully become something special we keep building around.
I don’t think there’s that much of a risk buying a championship player as there is buying a player say from the Portuguese or Dutch league, I would put those 3 leagues on a similar level

Heard KDH works slightly less hard than Conor off the ball; but is much more creative or a threat. So I would prefer if we sold Conor than Chuckwuemeka.

I think KDH is a solid player and a solid signing. Even watching him in the premier league before they got relegated it was clear he was a talented player. It will help to have someone familiar with Maresca too.
Maresca better be praying for another injury crisis though or else we’re going to have issues with squad size again like Potter had. With this midfield 3 we would be sitting Gallagher, Santos, Chukwameka, Casedei, big Les, AND Lavia. Completely ridiculous. Not to mention having like 8 first team center backs if they stay fit

Sorry George, hasnt it occured to you that the owners' master plan is to sell Moises and Enzo to Real Madrid or Saudi as well as Conor to Tottenham and rely on the fringe players to help us avoid relegation next year? KDH may be a stroke of genius because there is little doubt the lad can play, but it may also be a disaster for the him because he should realise he is only being bought in to be a sub in the 89th min. As for Tosin and Guiu you must be crazy to think these guys will add value. Obviously we hope they will but really? If Chelsea had a world beater on their books would we let him go for free/5m? First of all, comparing KDH with Caicedo and Enzo is misleading. They're regular midfielders at upper end of the Prem, KDH is not. He was tidy but not mindblowing for Leicester as a regular midfielder but he didn't really shine until Maresca started using him as effectively a number 10. He's a 5'7 or 5'8 sized guy who isn't massively physical, who isn't that strong in the tackle, who is energetic but not really pound for pound a regular midfielder that holds a pivot. And I don't think he'll ever really be able to do that job.
What he can do is the job Cole Palmer did for us at the end of the season. That's what he did for Leicester. Problem is, can he do that job together with Cole Palmer, and is that possible in a Maresca system where we're going to have a back 5 while attacking? It seems self-evident that Palmer is heading for that right winger spot where there's nobody close by.
Look at Leicester's team stats. Lots of goals from KDH and their left winger Mavididi, but pretty much all their right winger does is skip past his fullback and knock a ball in behind. Is Cole Palmer even better than Madueke at that particular job? We're potentially wasting a guy who managed 33 G+A in the Prem in 2600 minutes in order to accomodate an older guy who managed 26 in 3600 minutes in the Championship. I know which one of those two I'd want to build around.
