Any visitor walking through the town centre would have the same depressing impression. Investments and development for business and tourists have all shifted out to the Marina. High streets all over the world are in serious decline due to the lack of trade for business there. Should actually turn the town houses into residential properties, nicely maintained and painted, with only a few shops trading for the locals. Would be quiet and tourist free. 😅 Move all the tourist to the Marina. 😂
I am a visitor, I don’t live there and to be honest after the response to locals I wouldn’t visit again
I used to go there in the 80s 90s it was a nice place, full fo life and clean and tidy. Now it's just dead :(
Well. Did you look about properly. You missed all the local run shops down the marina. Included restaurants. Seem to pick on all the bad bits.
So many more things to have seen. Maybe visit again but with someone that knows the area and can point out things.
The police station is now down the docks behind Tesco.
While you were over in pembroke dock the millennium falcon was built there.

Most of the "high streets" in Welsh towns seem to be in a similar state. I assume council rates and online shopping being the main purportrators.
I would recommend visiting the Marina before making up your mind about Milford though. It is full of some cracking little shops, restaurants and small businesses.
It’s very sad to see, I thought it was Uk wide but last week I visited Shrewsbury and it was so different.
After watching this video it's hit me on how much of a shit state my home county has become. You should visit Fishguard, it's small, very historical, lovely places to eat out and friendly locals.
I’m planning a trip from Fishguard on the boat. I visited Shrewsbury yesterday and I’d go as far as saying one of the best towns I’ve ever visited. I’m not sure if it’s Councils or the Government that’s killed the high street
@@Thejasonthomasshow that's good, Fishguard is quiet but a lovely town. It's most definitely the council who is ruining Pembrokeshire through their greed of money, corruption and power. I've only ever heard good things about Shrewsbury id like to viusut the place myself.

In Wales they hate tourists, cars, holiday home owners and business owners. Its why everyone is avoiding it. I love Wales, but I will not visit it any more, I want to visit where I feel welcome.

Even Russia looks much better than huge swathes of the UK today..in fact these pictures of MH and so many other in England, Scotland and Wales are very similar sadly... to the Russia and Ukraine of the 70's...
I’d love to visit both those places. Maybe in Summer it’s busier but even the locals had said it’s gone quiet.
Really disappointed to see you show Milford is such a poor and inaccurate light.
Currently the marina is where businesses are thriving and where you completely decided to ignore. From several eateries, including a hotel opened by celtic Manor only recently, local family run shops also. The torch theatre, charity ran which draws people from all around for shows and so on.
Anyone hoping to get a sense of what Milford is like please take this video with a pinch of salt. Yes, just like most towns and cities in Wales the high street is struggling but it still provides numerous jobs for local people.
P.s the police station relocated to the marina also, not merged with Harfordwest Station.
You clearly didn't watch the video in full, and most certainly didn't read the video's bio.
That Gregs was temporarily closed while they opened up their 2nd location in the shopping area down by Tesco and has now reopened, the police station has moved premises to the Marina, which you chose to completely ignore. You chose to show the crap side of Milford. You can go to any town and make it look like a shithole if you wanted.
I was told it’s closed due to no staff by the shop up the road. The problem these days is you can’t accept other peoples opinions. It would be great if you put all your energy into discussing with the council. You clearly haven’t watched the video in full 😎

You went to Hakin point around by the dock gates then cut straight into town, completely bypassing the marina.

Marina might be regenerated but the town centre is a shithole.
I thought neath was underinvested it just shows how biased towards Cardiff this Welsh assembly is .. the whole of Wales needs direction and investing it's sad to see.. maybe if they weren't so busy looking after themselves and taking bungs of 200k they might give a dam about this country
