    Exploring the history and Victorian Palmerston forts around Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire Wales including the early Medieval defences of this globally significant yet under utilised natural harbour.
    Pembroke Dock, that superseded Milford dock was a Royal Navy dock building ships for the World's greatest navy between 1800 to 1925.. after the war it became a sea plane base and the WW2 hangers still survive.
    You can visit the restored Chapel Bay fort to get a feel of what life was like for defenders of the realm

    Very interesting. Milford Haven is, however, a fine example of a ria, a flooded unglaciated river valley leading to the sea. They often show a dendritic form

      my mis pronunciation - I will make corrections .. I had to look up the context of dendritic form , and yes, a wonderful description of Milford Haven [I wish I included it]. Thank you

    What a beautiful area with such a history. Only ever been to Tenby as a spotty kid, and never went any further west. Didn't even find the castle and fort interesting. It was only a few years ago that I heard about this area from my brother, who spent a fair while fixing up a boat he had bought that was berthed up the Cleddau. He raved about the area, and through the magic of google earth, for once, I have to agree with him! So, one of these days I will get there..... Thanks for another beautiful and informative video.
