  • Noticing some unusual leaf feeding in your fields? As Pioneer Field Agronomist Matt Montgomery explains, it could be red headed flea beetles. Red headed flea beetles are a leaf beetle in the family Chrysomelidae and are distantly related to bean leaf beetle and corn rootworms. While not detrimental to yield, like any other pest, it can negatively impact a plant by munching on its leaves.
