Join me and Bill Southern of NuggetShooter.com as we travel out to the gold fields of Arizona and search his secret dry washes with Minelab Gold Monster detectors. This is a spot that Bill has hunted many times over the years and he was very impressed with the amount of gold nuggets we were able to recover in this one dry wash.

When he tips dirt into his hand and if it beeps over the trowel he discards what’s in his hand but what if there is more than one piece? He may have just thrown that away.

Beau, 2 things. 1 get a Gorilla pod to put your camera on. That way you can set it down and still film yourself. 2 get an off board mic, especially when talking to other people. The mic that is built into the camera just doesn't pick up other people talking unless they are right next to you.

I have used their detectors for years with great success but I have not tryed the monster.👍good luck.

Don't understand why you pour dirt from the scoop into your hand and scan the scoop. If the scoop has an indication you dump the dirt in your hand. What if you have two nuggets. One in the scoop and one in your hand. Should split the dirt and scan both...scoop and hand. Then dump the one with no indication.
Yes, they are assuming a single target, which could be a mistake.
We always check both the hole and pile before refilling and you are right can be more than one, we do not use our hand to check for the target because highly sensitive gold detectors will hear the minerals in your body and give false signals. Good question...
The salts coming from you sink can set the detector off that's why you always want to scan your scoop

At 13 minutes Beau had sensitivity on auto. Auto one or two ? One is more stable.
Next time you come to Arizona let me know you can spend a few days in the mine!

Hey beau I could really use your help I found a small tin box a little bigger that a quarter and on the top and bottom are what seems to be fourteen stars around a face I have done research but can’t find any information on it. If you or anyone else can help that would be much appreciated I am very curious to see if it is my first civil war artifact but don’t want to just assume thanks.

Beau, if you carried a spray bottle with water in it and misted yourself every so often, it would go a long way in keeping you from getting dehydrated. Ty it, you'll like it. : )
