A presentation by Professor Bernard McGinn as part of a conference - "Teresa of Avila 1515 to 2015: Mystical Theology and Spirituality in the Carmelite Tradition" - which took place at St. Mary's University Twickenham in London. The presentation is entitled "True Confessions: Augustine and Teresa of Avila on the Mystical Self". The conference took place in June 2015 as part of the "Teresa 500" celebrations marking the 5th centenary of the birth of St. Teresa of Avila.
