One time me and my friend was playing tmodloader with souls on and I used Pandora box at night, it spawned ceiling of moonlord and ecdeath. So you don’t really need the requirements to summon echdeath you just need to get lucky at night.

I know this boss...
I had all of the best eternity mode accessories and armor. I also had the penetrator, and had dropped a universal collapse on a fresh world. I couldn't kill its second phase, and I couldn't outrun it at my top speeds. Even using hero's mod to teleport, it traversed the entire large-sized map within seconds. There's no outrunning this thing, in the end.
I killed it once with a falling sand trap i had set up for it

When Tmodloader updates to 1.4 I wonder if echdeath can kill you in journey mode god mode. In mods, godmode just gives you infinite dodges, whereas Journey mode gives a different type
Journey god mode: death is no longer an option
Echdeath damage is 0, in terrarian it means infinite so even with journey god mode, you can die
If Journey's god mod would disable collision detection, area proximity, damage calculation, any sort of switching character's difficulty, disable player's death triggers and maybe be hardcoded to always run on top of mods... anyother possible stuff.
It will sure stop this edgy mods.
@@RoastCDuck We don't even know that Echdeath kills you at all. You don't get the death screen, even though you get the death message. It could simply be transforming you into a hardcore ghost, thus completely bypassing anything that tries to stop death. You also can't really stop mods from overriding vanilla code, even if you tried, nor should you try. Relogic should just let the modding community do whatever it wants, as long as it isn't trying to pirate the game or take credit for its code or anything illegal like that.

What are the mechanisms at play here, assuming the game for some reason considers 0 damage out of bounds (damage can’t be reduced below 1, yet calamity regularly does this) why would it then wrap around to the 32-bit signed integer limit, or what you call “infinity”?

For anyone wondering, it is impossible to naturally get etchdeath because of the dungeon guardian requirement.

@@reCatalogue Actually, for some reason, Echdeath is weak to falling sand (because of a bug or intentional design, who knows;) meaning that you can use sand to even kill its second phase.
The consumer of universes and destroyer of reality... defeated by a pile of finely ground rock.
@@reCatalogue It works better when Echdeath hasn't gotten big. If the top layer of sand is destroyed at the same time as the rest and cannot fall, Echdeath cannot be hit and cannot die.

If I’m gonna be honest, I love Fargo’s but I can’t enjoy the mod with the scaling mutant has with calamity, idk if the point was for mutant to not be killable with calamity enabled, but it feels a little much for it’s fight especially in Eternity/Maso mode.
