- In this video we will look at top 10 rarest items in Terraria: Journey's End and I will show you how to get them. This video includes rarest drops, rarest weapons, rarest pets, rarest accessories and rarest enemies in Terraria. Since 1.4.2.3 many rare items like Slime Staff, Lucky Coin, Coin Gun, Rod of Discord etc are now purchasable from the Princess NPC in worlds created with the "celebrationmk10" secret world seed so these items are not that rare anymore. In this video you can find out how to get Eucalyptus Sap, Universal Pylon, Lizard Egg, Amber Mosquito, Angel Halo, Nymph Banner, Biome Keys, Bladed Glove and Bloody Machete and how to shake trees (tree shaking) in Terraria.

All in the same world that I now have over 110 hours in and yet I still don't have that goddamn sextant or fish finder I have done over 200 quests I keep getting angler set or the fisherman's guide

Nah, adhesive bandage is worse. Prior to 1.4, you could get a dungeon that contained only 2/3 of the different background walls, meaning if the one required for Rusty Bones to spawn wasn’t present, their spawn rate would be significantly reduced (by a LOT). And the only other things that could drop it are Werewolves, which only spawn during full moons, or Angler fish, which have about the same spawn rate as goldfish but in the hardmode caverns.
Oh, and on top of that, you can’t get it until hardmode, unlike the Nazar, which you can get during pre-hardmode.

Rod of Discord was way harder to get than most those items, especially the common KO Cannon, and the Bladed Glove and Bloody Machete are easy to get.

@@crestfy3163 maybe you've had luck with it but I've had to grind several hours on a couple characters to get one, I also keep recommending it to a buddy who hasn't had any luck thus far.
@charmander man Yeah I'm unlucky with Rod of Discords, except for once, I've collected several over the course of time, first time took several hours of grinding, the second time was the lucky one and I got one even before my first Chaos Elemental banner, but after that I've had to grind for em again, totally worth it though.
@consume facts doesn’t just mean simple numbers, its also factual that the RoD has way less chances to drop. It’s easily way rarer because of how far out of your way you need to go to get it and the spawn rates of the elementals

A couple days ago me and my brother started the first multiplayer world I ever played. The fifth tree I broke dropped the eucalyptus sap.
The lesson is, sometimes RNG spoils you, and sometimes it's the most sadistic programming in existence
I started a new playthrough a week ago and the very first tree I chopped down had eucalyptus sap. I didn't didn't know how rare it was and the fact that it was in the thumbnail is what made me click on the video.

I love how most of us got biome keys without trying but it took months to farm for Rod

It only took me one whole day, a full hour wasted but worth it
I was farming rods for my friends on the server, and after 500 kills, I got three within a minute. Crazy.
When building a farm for the frozen biome key, one dropped from a fucking penguin that I accidentally killed with a summon.
I was halfway through building it lmao.

I started my first ever world yesterday on November 1st… I got the Bladed Glove on my 2nd night!
I had no idea it was a limited time rare drop!!!
Before 1.3 and the Companion Cube was added, I always made sure I go out of my way to get the amber mosquito since it’s my favorite pet of the bunch (still too 3 for me) so it was a struggle at times but at least at one point I had 3 Amber Mosquitoes on me

The rarest item is the star cloak from mimics when I’m playing mage
I did a summoner run and got the first titan glove on the 47th mimic all drops are equally likely

I tried to get a philosopher stone from mimics at my playthrough and I got like 5 star cloaks before I got the stone

Appreciate his dedication. He had to get most of the items. And about the nymph banner, i wouldnt consider them as the rarest item, but instead i would consider rune wizard banner rarer, they spawn with around same spawn rates as nymphs and only on a certain depth

Universal pylon would be far more rare then, you have to kill fifty of an enemy to completely unlock it in the bestiary. You have to complete the bestiary and have all other pylons active in the world to unlock the universal pylon.
I think you don’t have to fully unlock everything, just kill everything once
I'd argue the pylon deserves 2nd place if not first. There's so much work to get it; creating artificial corruption, Crimson and hallow cavern and desert (depending on your world); creating artificial underground desert for hallow, Crimson and corruption; artificial surface mushroom; waiting for rain to happen for certain mobs in certain biome; waiting for sandstorms to happen for enemies in their respective evil desert biomes; having to defeat summon and defeat all events and bosses; and so much more. It really is one hell of a grind.

I found Eucalyptus Sap, Bladed Glove, Amber Mosquito and multiple KO Cannons in one playthrough. In the same playthrough, I had to kill 356 Corruptors (last ~150 with garden gnome placed down and corruption torches everywhere) to find Vitamins. The rarest item in the game is always the one you need.
I had no idea angel halo was really rare. It`s one of my favourite vanity items and I have it on nearly all my characters
Last time I played through vanilla with a friend (week or two ago) we were digging around for ores in the beginning of hardmode and we came across a small section of hallow (that we avoided of course, due to not having any good gear), but I hung around for a few moments to get it shaped a bit better for grinding later on

I got the eucalyptus sap three times back to back, and i didnt even notice how rare this thing actually is
I remember once on mobile I got a nymph banner (I don't know how) I got really happy and there was something you could exploit, by using a feature where you could copy a world as a backup, so you would place your items in a chest, back up the world, then load the backup world and you could take the items from the chests, essentially duplicating them. So, being like 8 I decided it would be a great idea to duplicate the banner and proceed to spam my entire world with it. My world later got corrupted and I cried.

I’ve seen the Angel Halo in Travelling Merchant wares more times than I can remember
I remember having a traveling merchant visiting me when I was staring out and he sold the angel halo. Didn't think it was that rare and it was too expencive back then.

yes, and they were a pain to not only get the mold, but also kill Plantera for a Jungle Temple Key. Made even worse that Plantera is the boss I consistently have the most trouble with

I like how i’ve gotten multiple bladed gloves that are 1/2000 in multiple playthroughs but i have never legitimately gotten a rod of discord in a playthrough which is only a 1/500 drop

I took five days to get a lucky coin from the pirate invasion. I legit got two coin guns, half an inventory of cutlasses, and an inventory full of discount cards and rings. What I'm getting at is- I got every single possible drop several times before I got a lucky coin. Wasn't exaggerating with the amount of items I listed above.
If this was in the latest update u could have shimmered a discount card or the ring
How I personally got a lot of biome keys is doing the pumpkin moon in the biome I wanted. I got 2 in the hallowed in one night and one for the desert in the other

bruh i that's nothing i installed terraria on laptop to play it (cuz i only have it on moblie and i wanted to try how does it work on laptop) after that i created a world and start playing and got the sap from the first tree i cut but i didn't know how rare it was then until i looked it up and after that i reliazed that i have some of most rare items in the game and i got shocked cuz i have the slime staff,universail pylon,ko cannon,the sap on an user on an online server i play on i was so lucky and couldn't believe myself
The lava charm is pretty hard to find, only spawns in chests in a specific layer. I had to make several new worlds to find one after days of searching.

I've seen the angel halo at least 17 times already in the Traveling Merchant's inventory and have yet to see the orange zapinator even once

I got the sugar glider from the very first tree I cut down in my very first world with a new character literally just yesterday from when I finally got the 1.4 update. I am probably happy about this, or will be later! :)

5:18 first time ever playing terraria I got the bladed glove, didn’t know the rarity or anything, all I knew was that it was strong and fast at the time. Tried showing a friend who was also struggling and he said that it was one of the rarest items in the game. Then I got a new phone (I had it on an old one) and I still have yet to get another

Remember you can farm the Bladed Glove / Bloody Machete during any time of the year, you ca do this by reaching the 15th wave of the Pumpkin moon, Although you first need to be skilled and finish the pumpkin moon, but then you have a 24 minute period to farm it so maybe it is that rare after all.

surprised there's not fishing items in here, also I think there might be rarer enemies than nymphs that have banners like dungeon snipers, and then there's special stuff that rarely spawns when a world is generated like terragrim/arkhalis
I have a character that is 40 hours long and Im yet to encounter a single nymph on it, dungeon snipers are like 10 mins max with battle potion and water candles (still rare but not rarer).

Halloween season can start before that by activating the pumpkin moon event after that it will Halloween for a little while you can tell by naturally growing pumpkins and Halloween enemies

I got all of these things in my expert play through long before I got my coin gun or rod of discord. The nymph banner I must’ve got lucky with.
The first time I ever played terraria I remember killing a slime and getting some super powerful weapon. I had no idea what the weapon was, but I guess I must’ve gotten so lucky that I got bladed glove before even getting armor
I got the pylon, It isn’t as hard as it seems. With a normal play through I already had like 80% of the beastiary done
I still think rod of discord should be on this, maybe like 11th or 12th. Terraria is just so evil when it comes to grinding for items!

I have half of these items about halfway through hardmode and i had no idea they were that rare and i think i sold the KO cannon and the cascade lol
I have gotten all of these, except the Eucalyptus Sap. All of these are easily come across in a normal playthrough if you spend time farming enemies, particularly in Cavern and Temple mob farms, but the Sap, Amber Mosquito, and Halo are far harder to get without explicitly hunting down.
I think the items that end up being far rarer for the average player tend to be the Rod of Discord, the Cell Phone, and to a lesser extent the Ankh Shield and Terraspark Boots, simply because you have to go a little out of your way to collect all of the components. Not to mention, how many players have actually collected all the rare foods, vanities, and weapons that drop from unusual sources...

I love how I always got the rarest chances when I was 7 I got the 1 out of 300 chance of king slime randomly spawning and got the slime staff when I killed him. before the update where you could buy it

Imo it is because the companion cube is kinda rare and costs a platinum. You typically have a platinum endgame, whereas you can only kill so many enemies during an event. That's just my take on it
