Great review these cars have proved to hold up very well. I recently bought an e400 equipped with the premium package like one reviewed has with 1 previous owner and I’m more than satisfied so far. This video helped me make the final decision and the car is everything you would dream for it to be. I got a wonderful deal on it being a recent trade in. I have a 2013 Honda Accord exl as my daily driver and this is quite the car for the weekend. I was worried about losing features when looking for something more fun to drive and this car put that worry to rest. I’m 22 and it’s the perfect combination of luxury and sport.
Great everyday review, it really is a complete test, with some humour thrown in. Wish they were 65k over here. One thing you forgot was the boot, maybe you could've put the deer in there for some perspective. Subscribed.

I just purchased the same model w 60K, and it drives solid as a e-class Mercedes-Benz should. I wasn’t going all the way up to an e-class, was going to settle for a c250 coupe, but the e400 coupe in black was saying buy me. I took it for a test drive and and fell in love.The car looks sooo sharp with a one car owner and a car max indicating that he did every service with the MB dealership, which I will continued to do so, the car runs brand new…I’m really impressed….this is my first MB and now realize why all the drug dealers drive these cars….hehehehe

Looks like this is your 1st Mercedes you've covered. All Mercedes pick up in the 2nd gear in normal. yes, even the classics..... Dropping down to the 1st gear in the sport mode for a quick pick up.
How did the cooled seats work? Is it worth it to get that option....Also just an fyi, mercedes is coming out with the new e class soon so this will prob drop in price, that is right when i want to get one of these...

Eco is the normal gear mode. What's so difficult about that. The car has enough grunt to pull away in 2nd no problem. If you put your foot down it will go into first. Seems like you are a bit of a Merc hater. All other reviews of this car are extremely positive, and the merc gearbox is notoriously good. Slating it for not having a "normal" mode is a bit naive.
Anyone who would pay $70K for a high performance car with powerful engine, then want to start off in second gear to save fuel is......AN IDIOT. Further to say I hate Mercedes because i pointed out an engineering flaw, of which German cars have many, is just plain silly. Sounds like you didn't want to look at a review but wanted a shill advertisement--we don't do videos like that here.....
But it's not that sort of car, dude. People who buy these cars tend to prefer a leisurely drive not hard acceleration. It is an odd thing to complain about. The gearbox complaint does put you on your own as it really isn't a flaw, it's just you not quite understanding the point. People who buy luxury cars and drive them sensibly are not idiots, those who complain about good ergonomic features are. Even you later changed your mind and say that the ECO mode is fine. I get that you did a fair review for the most part, but as someone reviewing a car on the internet, you looked a bit foolish.

Just bought a 2015 E400 that has a hit to the passenger headlight. Gonna add a throttle booster and possibly an ecu tune. Can't wait.

It’s an accent light for seeing the console at night, mine does the same thing. A bit odd but I’ve gotten use to the soft glow. It’s my first Merc.

The sport setting starts off in 1st and holds the gears longer between shifts. Manual mode is, well, manual.
