Excellent review.
We love you bro.
Thanks a lot for the support bro 😎
@@MarcYeoTechReview 😁😁😁
This phone is impressively fast. I used to have a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and returned it for this Honor Magic5 Pro, and I'm not disappointed.
I bought it based on its DXOMark rating, and the photo and video quality are much better than the Samsung. It's also super smooth, and I love Honor's custom UI-it's clear and has everything you need.
The only downside for me is the ergonomics; there's a noticeable camera bump, making the phone top-heavy, and I find it too thin. A nice leather case solved the issue for me, but it's something to be aware of.
In summary, go for it, especially since it's cheaper than the Samsung.
I totally agree with u bro 😊 thanks for sharing
@@MarcYeoTechReview I got it for 890 €; at that price, it's a better deal than Samsung, especially since it outperforms Samsung in many aspects.
@alexdenton6586 wow. Nice 👍👍
@samuelrichards3340 get the magic 5 pro if u can't wait
@samuelrichards3340 most welcome. Thanks for the support for my channel
Raya deal should be delicious by then haha May plan 2 play demo set in any Honor shops hehe
Hehe.. Go go play with it
RM4299 for the Pro. Pre-order available starting yesterday, my wallet jumped out of my pocket immediately coz my current phone's habit of dropping calls (proximity sensor glitch) is driving me absolutely insane.
Nice. U won't regret it. Good choice
Nice Video and phone :)
I am looking for a new smartphone this year and the magic 5 pro got my attention. There are just 2 things I really want to know.
The bigger notch, is it annoying when watching fullscreen videos? And is there a way to cut this section of the screen when watching videos (like you can do in android when using apps).
This bothers me a lot when using an IPhone, this biiig dynamic Island.
In reviews I read it throttles fast when gaming. I play Yugioh Master Duel a lot und its very heavy in gpu load, so bad fps stability would be a negative argument for buying that phone...
I hope you or someone else can help :) Thanks in advance!
Hi buddy, thanks for the support to my channel 😊
1. Actually the notch don't really bothers me. After some time u really get used it. Even if you can hide the notch, the screen will become smaller which I think is a big no no to me.
2. No worries, this phone is a gaming beast 💪
if you game a lot why not choose the new Red magic with that flat big screen.
Hello, does it have eye tracking for AOD(if you look at your screen the display will turn on)? Do they have that nice AOD as its with Huswei?
Hi bro, it's doesn't have eye tracking AOD as far as I know. The AOD are nice looking though 🤭
After 4 years with my 1+7 Pro , battery isn't good anymore so I'm gonna pre-order HONOR Magic 5 Pro on 19 April, I'm still afraid a little bit about soft but in general It's great especially when Vivo x 90 Pro plus and Oppo Find x6 pro didn't sell globally. I think the best option this year for price/quality in top segment is HONOR Magic 5 Pro.
I have had the 1+ 3T since it came out, first now the battery has started failing keeping up.. and i managed to smash the screen about a month ago, so now im also thinking of, going Honor, since i cant get either Oppo or Vivo 90pro+ here.. and sadly 1+ gone downwards since the 7model..
And Samsung are for me a no go.. have had Samsung twice, and just had so much Software issues with them that im not going back to them..
@@foothpath9966 Yep, almost same me, I have 1+3T, then I change it for Galaxy Note 9, I can't use that phone even half year, it's too much for me , software problems, that screen just burn my eyes, updates that destroyed 4G and Bluetooth connection, I sell it and then I get 1+7pro and I'm absolutely happy with this phone untill now, but I can't trust in the battery anymore, after 2 h of use is almost done + 256G of memory is full so I need a new phone with 512G memory, good screen for eyes and decent battery, looks like Honor is the option.
it seems pre-order will end before 19th April.
@@minezam3399 But when it starts then? Because at the moment isn't available+ there is no price for the phone...

Where is the location of beaches? Great video. Thanks a lot.
Hi.. It's in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Thanks for the support to my channel 😊
Have you ever experienced any of these:
*the viewfinder is broken in 4k zoom
*sometimes the phone does not react to swiping up or down
*freezing
*issue when start using mobile data, the signal suddenly gone and came back
plenty of this complaints on internet
Nope. I haven't.. Thankfully 🙏
Hows the UI for magic 5 pro? How does it comparing to s23U? Choosing between these two phones now. And does s23U strain eyes for their screen? Due to PWM.
The UI is simple and straightforward. I prefer this than the s23u. Definitely it's more comfortable looking at magic 5 Pro screen 😁
@@MarcYeoTechReview thanks, this help in my purchase.
Most welcome. Go for it buddy. I'm happy using the Magic 5 Pro 🤩
Thanks for the support to my channel
This is an absolutely fantastic phone.
Yup. Totally agree
I heard there is a delay in the notifications. Do you experience this?
No.. There is no delay bro 😂
how about system cooling have or not in magic 5 pro
it has VC cooling system
Yes it has
Is it support display out to external monitor? Like Samsung dex
I'm able to connect it to my Samsung smart TV 😊
@@MarcYeoTechReview should I get this phone I use it for intensive games and normal usage
Or Google pixel 7 pro
honor magic 5 pro or samsung s23+? which one better?
Actually both also im using hehe.. Overall i think Magic 5 Pro is a better deal
Magic OS desktop experience is 🔥
U mean syncing from phone to laptop?
@@MarcYeoTechReview yes
Nice. I hope I have the chance to try too
S23 ultra 12/512 or Honor magic5 pro 12/251, price for s23 ultra 1289 euros and honor 1199?
It seems like S23 ultra is a better option in your country. 😊 But it all depends on your brand and ui preference
They used Sony sensors or Samsung sensors?
on HONOR offcial website, they say SONY
Sony imx 858 on the periscope telephoto camera. No info on the main sensor
I do have the Honor Magic 4 Pro from last year (2022) and I must confess it's a great phone but I can NOT recommend this new one (Magic 5 Pro) cause the predecessor that I have is yet to receive Android 13 in the UK as at today 13th of April 2023....🤷
I hope Honor global see this 😊
@@MarcYeoTechReview though I still cannot recommend the Honor Magic 5 Pro, my Magic 4 Pro has now received Android 13!
Do you recommend buying this phone in 2024 ? Or should i buy base s23 256 gb idk bro
I would recommend the Magic 5 Pro... Better overall
@@MarcYeoTechReview even when it has like 2 years of support left? But i like the honor more
Most importantly is the user experience, camera and battery life 😊
How about sound quality over bluetooth?
Great. But try not to use with oppo tws
Using Huawei buds it was great
Can we rely on Honor to give us 4 years of OS updates?
Can you trust what Honor say. I'd rather buy this over the S23 Ultra to be honest
For Magic 5 Pro Honor promised 3 years of major updates and 5 years of security updates
@@MarcYeoTechReview better than nothing.
They promised 3
HONOR is trying to build their reputation so this time they have announced 5 years updates support.
Where did you go on your trip?
Hokkaido Japan 😊
@@MarcYeoTechReview thanks looks lovely
Thanks for the support to my channel 😊 appreciate it
Can it run Netflix?
Definitely, with L1 widevine
Magic 4 pro or 5 pro? Which is better overall?
Definitely 5 Pro.. 😊
This phone is let down by very poor software tbh it doesn't get mentioned enough. I use it and amazing hardware (apart from the vibration motro) but the software front is a real real let down.
Which part of the software isn't good enough? As a normal user i can't find any..
Yes I am curious also 🤔
I am having a lot of issues, crashes on apps that have previously not crashed. The home launcher does not work as expected, I can't pull up the app drawer at random, the search function on honors launcher also doesn't work most of the time for me. So I am left having to use nova launcher. The haptic motor is very poor, when in use when typic it's slow and doesn't keep up with my speed of typing so had to turn it off and get used to typing without it. Scrolling as a whole on this phone does not feel smooth and indicative of a 120hz display. Apart from that no complaints with the phone, however these are very very annoying issues for me personally. I thought I had a faulty unit and these were unique issues to me but I posted on reddit and a few people have experienced the same.
That's weird. I haven't experienced any of that yet fortunately 🤨🤔 but I do agree what the haptic is not as strong as some other phones.
Should I switch to this from S23 Ultra? Honor has slow updates and low software support, low resale value, 3.5x zoom and low quality zoom, but at other things it's superior...
They've announced 3 years of software updates and 5 for security updates. I don't know about the resale, I have the Magic 4 pro and not planning to sell it pretty soon. I guess resale value comes with reputation and they're just building that. As for the zoom, for me 10x zoom in video is superb, the photo zoom is quite ok as well, but not impressive, true.
HONOR is trying to build their reputation so this time they have announced 5 years updates support. According to the reviews from their so called experiencer program, I saw the photograpy zoom is quite good and the battery life is impressive. The only regret is no digital pen. Anyway I have made my pre-order
@@minezam3399 me 2, but idk if I should switch from S23 Ultra or not.. I paid only 500€ for it because I renewed my subscription
Hi Robinson, why you want to switch from S23 Ultra to Honor Magic 5 Pro, S23 Ultra ist the best Android Phone! I will switch from my S21 Ultra, with Exynos, to Honor Magic Pro 5, because it's cheaper then S23 Ultra.
@@daliborsveti7296 because I have many problems with S23 Ultra: low SOT, random lag, low camera performance

Xiaomi 13 pro or Honor magic 5 pro?
Svako dobro
