My saturn is in the 9th house and the moment you started talking I felt shivers down my spine. I grew up in a super conservative and religious household, both my parents are evangelical, I went to church so regularly that it was almost my second home. I wasn't allowed to listen to secular music, read secular books, watch almost any TV series or movies. I wasn't allowed to wear any clothes that I wanted because of purity culture. I was even "exorcized" one time because I was being "rebellious". I went to an evangelical school where we were taught the same thing over and over. I was brainwashed into believing that women were inferior to men and that my greatest achievement was to marry a man and serve him because that was God's plan. I don't want to make a lengthy comment but basically religion and my strict parents never let me express myself, my sexuality or have my own ideas. I started to question religion and my parents when I was around 14 years old but felt so guilty because it felt like I was questioning God and that I was going to hell. It was until I was 18 that I came to the conclusion that I don't believe in God (or at least not in the form that I was taught) but still, I couldn't leave my religion and the church because that was the only thing I knew and without that system I felt empty. So I started to live a double life, I was the perfect religious girl at home and church but was doing things against those beliefs when I was alone. Contradictions around religious have followed me for years and I've struggled with the strict systems and the faith that was taught upon me. Sometimes returning to them for comfort and other times completely hating them for being so restrictive. I'm 24 now and still struggling with this because my religious upbringing has affected all the areas in my life. I just want to be free to become who I am and to understand my connection with "God", religion or the divine. I don't know what my moral principles are.

I am also 24 years old. The same thing happened to me as a Muslim, so I share the same pain. I was forced to do a lot of things that I didn't feel like I belonged in. I lost my faith in religions when I was nineteen, but then I felt a terrifying void. I felt like I was in a maze, not knowing where I was going or what I would believe now. Even admitting to my family that I was no longer a Muslim was very difficult because I would lose everything then, so the only solution for me was to live two lives, a life that satisfied them and a secret life that satisfied me, but as You know, this is really difficult. I just hope that one day we can feel complete freedom and not be restricted by anything 🙏🏻💛

I have this placement and find my spirituality is personal and not-so-much communal or mainstream, definitely ancient and mystical.

Oh my how this is so accurate! Struggling still to find meaning and purpose, and with my spiritual beliefs/religion. I'm age 57 and on my second Saturn return, my father died on my first one. He was not a disciplinarian, that was my mother. He was mostly absent, but when he was there, he was loving. He was Aries Sun, Leo Moon like you Lada. :)
Thank you for this information. I do believe it helps to know what direction to take.

Nailed it! I’ve been searching for God and meaning since I was a child. I studied all the “options” since 20 and at 45 I found the path I’ve dedicated to. You also hit on my father being absent. Great interpretation of this placement! I’d love to know what it means when your sun sign is also in the same house. Mine is Leo.

You are so right I have Saturn in Scorpio 9th house. I attained my education in the field I am in later in my life. When I was younger I broke away from religion because nobody practiced what they preached. As I got older I believe in all gods new and ancient more ancient of my ancestors what they did right and what they did wrong. I do believe in the God Saturn and Pluto strongly and Karma is alive even if it is a generational curse. We have to repent to get rid of past sins, so we can have good karma. Because the Universe has a case on all of us sooner or later our credit will run out and we have to pay the piper.

My daughter has this. Her father died when she was 2. She has no interest in religion or spiritual practice though I made spiritual exploration very accessible for her. She rejects education and refuses to take learning opportunities even as she gets older (29) and struggles to find jobs that pay a living wage. She says studying feels horrible to her. She'd rather work day and night with low wage and overtime than to study and get valuable skills that allow higher wage & less work hours. Very interesting. Saturn in 9th house Aquarius.

It's a pretty tough placement to have. Specially if it is conj with Venus (house is scorpio) coupled by south node around the area (not conj).
Most of my life I've been clueless and until now and I'm already stepping in 38 by October.
Don't know what my purpose is, what to do for a living, love, etc.
And true, I have separated myself from such religious inclinations for I have observed and realized long time ago: why do different religions/people with diff religious beliefs fight? Then I understood that religious beliefs now a days are simply an ideal life to live not the life to live. As well as anything that's different from such belief systems are castrated (for the lack of a better word) off and out. But the true thing is, it isn't the belief nor the ideal. It is the people who wield it. And as we know, we as an entity tend to judge something that is different than ourselves. It is simply a defense mechanism towards our belief specially if it is the exact opposite of what we believe and want.
But why do that if we can simply let it be? If it is so different, simply stir clear and focus on what we love.
But then again, we like to dominate everything per what we believe, think, and idealize. Some call it the ego move.
And the thing is.. we as an individual tend to lack the word open-mindedness. To live and let live. At least that is how I use to live and am but I'm surrounded by people (family and society) who force me to believe what they believe and idealize.
I've actually tried to live per my ideal but failed/got taken advantage of countless times.
Anyway.. hehe sorry for the drama. It just poured out of me.. 😂
Still searching for the answers really.. trying to regain the hope again.. that zest of life when life has been lifeless, degredating, life draining. I wish I do find it so I could stsrt living it...

I was raised Catholic. But I experience the death of my parents at a very young age and I left the church and I hated God. I am now 58 years old and there’s nothing better in my life then going to the Catholic Church in communion with God.

My stepdaughter has this placement and everything you said was very accurate. Especially regarding distance with the father or the father being missing… her mother left with her to another state and we only get to see her a few times a year. Her stepfather is extremely distant and though they live in the same household, they hardly have a relationship. It’s a painful placement, especially in Sagittarius, like she has. She misses her real daddy all the time 💔

I completely disagree that if you believe in austere moral principles that you necessarily believe in a “fearful strict father/God that punishes you for any wrong you do”. Maybe for someone with an average intelligence but not for a philosopher. I believe in such principles and I don’t hold such views of the divine, it’s more Sophisticated than that. So one doesn’t imply the other.
