Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy is commonly known as and referred to as Felix Mendelssohn in the English speaking world, but he actually signed with both of his last times. Ever since his baptism, his full official name was Jakob Ludwig Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and it stayed like that for all his life.
Bartholdy is derived from the Germanic given name Barthold, which can be a version of both Berthold and BartholomÀus.

Mendelssohn is not a German, but a Jew. And Clara is an irrelevant composer, you probably mention her because she is a woman. Her works are ridiculous compared to Robert's, she does not deserve attention as a composer. There are many incomparably better composers than Clara, and even than Robert, whom you did not mention, for example, Richard Wagner, Georg Friedrich Handel, Christoph Willibald Gluck, etc.
