Imagine being named Wolfgang

I'm dying
@@Carmen_on_Keyboard Im german. That name is soooo old it would sound weird to us too
Minetendo 33 it’s not thaaat old. I know plenty of old people named Wolfgang (Wolfgang Schäuble?) and there is nothing weird about it. It’s simply a little out of style.
@@johannaschreiber1243 umm.. thats what i meant :D
Congratulations! Finally I hear someone pronouncing Bach's and Tchaikovsky's names correctly. Respect.
I can't explain how much this video satisfy me.
Splendid to hear the correct pronunciation of names as they were originally pronounced.
Not "were"... but as THEY SHOULD be pronounced if people tried to respect their names.

It’s almost like I’m learning to say the names with an accent rather than just learning the correct way of pronouncing the names.
Thank you! That was very helpful!
This is so important. Thank you so much.
Great idea, thanks!
Lol you have my approval since Beethoven's pathetique was playing in the background, the second movement rlly is amazing :D. anyways thank you for this! I've been saying Haydn wrong this whole time whoops
Thanks so much!
Great content
German speaking composers were on fire
Well done!!
I love this video.
Holy crap! The most elitistic people I have ever met have been pronouncing Chopin wrong all of their lives! I can't wait to tell them!
Chop-in Instead of Shop-en?
They are doing neither the French nor the Polish pronunciation?
I live in a spanish-speaking country so they say "Chopán". It's still better than "Chopín" though.
tell em bro
@@ScorpioHR Try this: cho-pin: "cho" is like "Sho" in "shore" / "pin" is like "pa" in "pad" / but important: while pronouncing "pa", keep your nostrils closed with your fingers - Good luck! :-)
The one I wonder about Saint-Saëns. The way I used to always hear it was Say-So(n). Now people usually pronounce it Sa-Sonce.
Cami San Sans is the correct pronunciation
I made a second part with him included. Yeah the final "s" is sometimes pronounced and sometimes not, depending of personal choice. czcams.com/video/jslMc0Q7k5U/video.html
@@KarlaStevanatto well, hum, no. besides different people will read your transcription differently, that's the whole issue.
this is a cool video
that was really fun
Everyone who watched this video is a freak. including me hahahah. CZcams is the best.
But I think it should be more accurate than those videos about some random guy trying to teach us how to pronounce these names.
couldnt agree more
merci
Thanks for this. Would love it if you add "Pachelbel" on the list as it confused the majority hehe
1:36 hahahahahaa 😅
god ive been saying de booosy the whole time
😂You're not alone, if it helps.
At least you're not saying de-byu-si
o wow, thanks a lot for this, but what is that music played at the beginning? I think I've heard it before but can't quite point it out.

What abt Pachelbel :(
"Pach" like "Bach" bit with a "p"
"El" like "bell" but without a "b" (i dont know any other Word to explain it😂)
And "bel" just like the Word "Bell"
I don't know if its right, but i'm german and thats the way my Violin Teacher pronounces it(and she is also german😅). Pachelbel was german too so i guess it's right. 🤔

I really want to like this but you had to use google translate's speech of all things.
I know, but I explained it in the description: this pronunciations shouldn´t be considered as academic information, but it is still true that I made a little of research before making this video: I watched videos from many people from different countries saying these composers´ names just to see that the google tranlator pronunciation was on point, and i can say that in general it is pretty precise and correct.
My video may have some mistakes but i think that it is better than the average pronunciation video about this topic. Feel free to like or dislike, btw I recently uploaded a second part (with more google translator :P )
@@publiovirgilio2238 Ok, I appreciate the effort put into the video. I'm just picky about it since I'm a linguist.
Thanks but going way too fast
When you're German and can pronouns all eh shitty names
"From *Wikipedia* and *Google Translator* "? What about *getting a real person from their respective countries and languages* to say things like they should be? Seriously...
Do it then
So many are way Too robotic how is this helpful for anyone??
It is the synthetic voices of Google translate! Very bad...
Not one single woman in the whole video
