That wet shine diamonds lipstick was EVERYTHING as a teen. Wow. What a throwback.
And the lipsticks by L'oreal..shine deli....deli something french. I was obsessed with them. In HS I had the wet shine lipstick in a peach color...the most mortifying moment was when one of my male classmates and I bumped and my damn lipstick left a glittery print on his black leather jacket..I wanted to die. luckily he was nice and didn't say anything about it

So much nostalgia! My friends and I would go to the store and buy snacks and magazines and go to one of our houses to flip through them together. That was a whole afternoon! Times changed very fast... And I'm not convinced the changes have brought us more joy.

I feel like it makes since Sense since it's mostly Millennials and older gen z who grew up on those magazines and now work too haha, and now 2000 fashion is really coming back so it looks like everything is not dated again
I remember this issue very well. I was 14 and my family and I were in Kansas to visit my grandpa for Thanksgiving. That was the last time I saw my grandpa and visited Kansas. I bought the magazine at the local grocery store and the sweet older teenage girl said, “Justin Timberlake is so cute.” I had just seen her flirt with another boy before me and I couldn’t get over being incredibly awkward. 😂 Thank you for the trip down memory lane. ❤

I remember looking at the old magazines the dentist had when I would read them with my mum when I was like 7. This gave me so many homey memories and it's only been 7 years later but time has flown by and it is just really comforting so thank you ❤
A lot of countries had the equivalent of this. I still kept my early/mid 2000s magazines, they're pure nostalgia fuel.

I was JUST thinking about Seventeen magazine today and reminiscing about it. I didnt talk to anyone, nor did i type it on my phone, so this is serendipitous. What a throwback!
Everyone had such natural-looking makeup back then. Even the clothes were more relaxed and chill. Now it's all about "slaying" in our outfits and makeup.

If the word “slaying” was popular back then, it’d still be used the same way with what outfits and makeup were popular during that era. Early 2000s were very much slaying 🥰 some of the boldest, most striking looks were birthed in the early 2000s as well, maybe not shown in here. that’s why y2k remains a dominant aesthetic year later, every style can slay in its own way 😌
@@markvelous2552 Agreed, but what I'm saying is that there seemed to be a lot less pressure then than now. I think the Y2K style is back because so many Gen Z seem to be fans of Friends and the 90s/early 2000s aesthetics.

I collected teen magazine since I was little. I had just about every teen magazine J-14, tiger beat, bop, 16, teen, M magazine, popstar, teen people, cosmo girl, teen vogue, seventeen. I only have some J-14, M Magazine, teen people, cosmo girl, teen vogue, and seventeen from 00's. It's fun looking through them again and the nostalgia.
Your content has just the right amount of whisper and crackle for me. So soothing, and I love the nostalgia!

Is it crazy that I can smell the magazine through the screen? It brings back memories of being in high school in the early 2000s and getting the latest magazine and being so excited to go through every single page while laying on my bed. I’ll never forget the new magazine smell.

Whoa this is really hitting me with the throwback feels. This came out right when I started reading magazines (I was 8 in 2002) and i remember seeing all of these ads and wanting to look like these girls. I remember reading something around this time that has stayed with me: always remember the acronym PMILK when packing your purse: camera Phone, Money, ID, Lip gloss, Keys.

I LOVED the seventeen mag! When I was younger I was usually only allowed to read the TigerPop magazines... You know, the ones that always featured Justin Bieber ( *and his atrocious bowl cut hair), Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, the Jonas brothers etc... Every once and awhile I’d be able to convince mum to allow me to pick out a Seventeen Magazine... Felt like such a big girl lol.... Sigh.. Memory lane 😂🤍

Oh I LOVE THIS... I was 19 years old in 2000. I remember pretty much all this stuff. Naturistics was the yummy great smelling lip gloss you could get at the grocery store that came in vanilla rollerballs or solid sticks, also had some really delicious strawberry and later passionfruit and kili flip tops with glitter in them. I bought a vanilla one from ebay recently and it was still good, and jas that same ol smell I was missing. they also had some in the late 90s that was in a little metal silver tube that was banana blackberry and smelled and tasted heavenly. Ive got one of those too, lol... Walmart used to have a whole wall of amazing lipglosses, all scented and amazing. I dont get why that ended ... I still buy Tommy Girl, its an unforgettable scent. I remember when Jane cosmetics came out in the 90's. I went and bought a foundation, mascara, a copper penny colored lipstick and a purple eyeshadow. It may have been my first makeup that wasnt handed down to me... Love the video, a few memories and even got a few tingles!!

The lowrise, it was about basically showing your pubs 😳 wearing g string underwear was a teen trend....and the body shaming was so much more intense then it is now. ZERO body positivity. Seriously, ZERO.
