  • Here is another in the How-To line. This one is on replacing the front brake pads and rotors on a Corolla. This is a simple job that you can accomplish in an afternoon. Make sure your new pads and rotors are the correct fit, I received the wrong pad twice. As you are probably painfully aware, there were two completely different Corollas in the mid 80s, the front wheel drive and the good on, in rear wheel drive.
Doublecheck the torque specs for your model and year. This should also be applicable to the 1985 Celica as the pads and rotors were the listed in the fitment guides.

The dab of grease on that annoying loose guide plate that kept falling out is a seriously underrated tip!

And unfortunately, I can't remember who told me that so I can't give them credit. It also works for keeping a nut in your closed end wrench, a little grease on the nut and it stay's put.

That was an excellent production, Rick. I was particularly impressed with your smooth transitions back and forth from "real time" to high speed ramping and back again without it being so obvious that's what you're doing. Like I said, very smooth. I don't care WHAT Matt says about you, you're all right in MY book. 😎

This was a great video. It would have been better if you showed more detail of how the clips are orientated. Thanks.

This was great. I’m just researching for my build and preparing mentally. Thank you for this. Where can I download the manual for torq specs?
