Thanks dude. Yeah, I use the word "rock" because of the mega "stone," but also a reference to a large bejeweled accessory at the end of a chain that looks similar to Flavor Flavs. It's not just a simple "Cute charm," which also happens to be the ability of Wally's pokemon, Delcatty. And to make the reference full circle, I use the term "clock" to preemptively reference Flav but also to mean "to hit."

The most painful thing about Scru getting hung up on the Flav bit was is it WAS a reference to the clock line earlier. The rock hanging from his necklace is a Mega Stone, the thing used to transform pokemon to their mega form, which is why he said *Clock* you with *Mega* Gallade
Hop to it & hop to it is actually a sick flip. First line "best hop to it" is him telling you to get going. The second "best hop to it" is referencing the fact that his name is Hop so if you're trying to get to the league you have to best him to get there

Maaaan, sometimes I wish y'all knew the game references. Because the things you guys catch that have a meaning those not fluent in Pokemon will catch usually have a double, triple, or sometimes even quadruple meaning. It's actually nuts.
You can appreciate the bars without playing of course, but you and Munfu's knowledge on rap has taught me a bit and I've picking on more stuff that's making me more appreciative of these cyphers. So it's a bit sad y'all don't fully understand the songs. Great reaction and break down.

@@nessu3386 Honestly, I also think this influenced who he had for best verse. TY Wild had fewer Pokémon specific bars and the ones that were there were fairly catchable just from context clues. If you start going into Pokémon bars on verses like Cam Steady's, Breeton Boi's, Ham Sandwich's, The Kevin Bennett's and especially Mat4yo's, some of them get better than TY Wild's in my opinion. Mat4yo was best verse to me, but that's obviously biased too.

I like how all of these Pokemon cyphers have a reference to another flow in a different cypher for the same generation, this one having Ham's flow as Blue be a reference to G. Yee's flow as Blue in the Pokemon Champion Cypher. I also remember the start of Breeton's verse in the PCC referenced McGwire's flow in the Pokemon Trainer Cypher, both being for Gen 7.
Edit: Also, it's between Polo and Ty for who had the best verse. Ty came in with his crazy flow and pen as usual, and Polo came in with his standard gun bars and expressive voice that makes everything he says hit a bit harder.

Cam Steady's verse for Barry and Chi-chi's verse for Shauna are definitely my 1st and 2nd favorites respectively throughout this Pokemon rap cypher.

It took me a sec to get Gary's L bar. It's a visual one. Took a couple L's but its all love, flip them 45 degrees and now they all dubs. If you put two capital Ls side by side and flip each 45 degrees you get a W.
Alliteration is using words that start with the same sound, it doesn't have to be the same letter or the same amount of syllables (and a syllable is just when you break down the word how many different sounds there are for instance, fish is only 1 syllable while the word syllable itself has 3)
De Esser is a tool for mixing to find and get rid of the high frequencies in the sounds so if you using the letter “S” it’ll cut some of it out so it’s not to sharp
