Hi Rusty. What a journey! I wouldn't know where to begin to make a move like that. Congratulations on your property and new home. I live up north near Buffalo and the thoughts of warm weather and beautiful plants are constantly on my mind. I retired a year ago and still can't make up my mind about relocating, so good for you. Amazingly, your channel was one of the first we came across (along with the Newcomers, and Skip Smith) and we started looking right around the same time you did, and wouldn't you know it, we bought about a week before you did. We can almost canoe over to your house too. I can see our house in your drone footage. We are in Citrus Grove over by the field with the power lines. We love it because nobody will ever build back there and we have an unobstructed view. I can see the pond across the street from our lanai too. We are in walking distance of Sawgrass Grove and our mail station. I never thought I would be living somewhere so beautiful. Since we live close by, I am sure we will see you sometime soon, and we will be sure to say hello!

What a wonderful video! My husband and I went to The Villages March 2019 ... went back May 2019 - looked at 50 homes (yes 50 before we called our realtor) she showed us 4 homes ... we bid and June 2019 we had the house. We have 3 more years until we can retire but are thrilled that we found our place. I will be sharing your video with friends so they can see for themselves how HUGH the place is. Nobody really understands when we explain how large the Villages are. We are all the way NORTH - in the Spanish Springs area (so at least a 1/2 car ride from the beautiful new section you are in! Hope to bump into you when we next visit our home.

Congratulations, that's a beautiful home you have there! I just bought a resale 2/2 courtyard sight unseen up closer to Lake Sumter, closing on the 23rd. I can't wait to see it, but now I'm a tad jealous after seeing your brand new beauty on the lake. however, I do have big mature palm trees and a used golf cart! Yay! I can't wait to get away from the Chicago snow this winter!

Congratulations on your new home. My wife and I also live in Chester County and have literally and coincidentally have mirrored you with the visiting and buying process in TV. We found our home first in St. Catherin's, but ultimately turned around in 1 week and traded up to a home in in Marsh Bend. Still splitting time between Chester County and TV, hope to run into you either on the golf course or the pickleball courts. Good luck!

Well Rusty, you're one of the few were all the stars aligned and you were able to get the lot and style house you wanted. When it comes to spec homes you don't get lucky. Its pretty much you take what they got or you leave it. Clearly your ace in the hole was your sales agent. Guys like him are far and few between. We're around the corner from you in Citrus Grove.

My goal once I move down to TV is make more use of technology with a smart home. I was always hesitant up north because of our power outages.

I closed on a Winslow near you at Citrus Grove on October 15, which I love. It is the 2002 square foot model without the Golf Car Garage. Just like you I lucked into getting a short notice Second Lifestyle Visit in DeLuna, because I was REALLY motivated to buy soon, as my home in Washington State had already closed for sale. Anyway, I lucked out AGAIN as while I was in the hotel waiting for my lifestyle visit to start my agent gave me the same 3 hour call as a loan had just fell through for somebody else. I quickly looked at the place, and just as quickly ended up signing for the place. The 30 day closing seemed like 30 years. I really love the home.
